I've re-watched this interview ten times. Helen and Luc play off of each other so well and bring up so many incredible references. I'm absorbing all of this incredible intellect.

It is so important to hear in-depth commentary about art from the artist Luc Tuymans and the art historian Helen Molesworth. Compared to the very limited awareness that is offered by most popular publications, Tuymans and Moleworth's discussion is a revelation.

I'm glad that Luc corrected Helen on the "butcher-like precision" comment. Wonderful conversation.

I admire the artist Luc Tuymans for knowing how to adapt to current times, despite always remaining a traditional painter. I consider him a guiding light who stimulates the intelligence of the spectators through his works. When I observe his paintings it is like reading a book written on a single page.
