Most of the time i see "Top rated things from amazon", they try to sell you products that they never tried. You are making a real review and i like it!! Continue your good work!!
Nice highly instructive video. I bought one of these to use on 1" aluminum tubing which is much easier to cut than the steel you were using. I highly recommend this little notcher. I saw a Harbor Freight version and it was not made nearly as well. I also bolted mine to a workbench and use it with a hand drill as it did not fit my bench mounted drill press. As to the shimming, I cut up a couple of soda pop cans and used them as the shimming material. Once shimmed the notcher is extremely accurate.
yep these are out standing just got mine in today 2021 end of the year 2022 in 3hrs happy new year everyone out there.... cargo bikes here i come new hobby this year
I used a hf notcher for years and years before I got a notchmaster. You are way ahead using a hand drill than bolting it to a drill press. Way better feel and more clearance for tube around the notcher. Also it won't wipe the bushings out as quick due to misalignment with no give in the drill press.
By having less shaft sticking out of the block when you start your cut you will greatly improve the quality of the cut and eliminate most of the vibration, also by beefing up the saddle clamp you can cut down on the vibration even more
How did you fasten the hole to the spindle? Watching the video at 6:00, looks as if the orientation of the arbor adapter was changed. Can you describe the change... I'm experiencing issues with the hole saw coming loose. BTW, great vid. Thanks
Not a thorough review. I needed to cut 45 and 60 degrees and this tool will not do it. Thanks for supporting the false advertising on this product and causing me more work. Ended up buying the Eastwood brand and it dose as advertised!
The bushing block that holds the shaft the hole saw is mounted to will not move up high enough to allow clearance between the tube and the saw at the angles i needed to cut. The eastwood brand tool is the same shape tool but it is taller allowing you to move the bushing block up higher, giving the necessary room for the tube clamp to rotate to its full advertised cutting angle.

Once you weld those pieces together. Nobody can tell if the cut was off even a little bit. I call it a good cut.

Thanks for the review! It saved me about 50 bucks! I got the Harbor Freight unit, which does just as good and cost me under $60 with tax.

Eastwood has tubing benders and notchers that work real well

Short shaft problems.....I'm feelin ya brotha
Cutting metal you should use cutting oil???
4:05 that's the reason you're burning the holesaws so quickly

Might try cutting fluid to lubricate the cutter.
Where can I buy? Which website ? Makes the site available
No link?
Go to Amazon and find the one that looks exactly like the one in the video.
Link to the notcher?
What holesaw brand do you like? I'm trying to find better ones for notching.
Lennox has best hole saws, jig, saws all blades. Ifvu break the they replace them
Hi great vid, but you didn’t check to see how accurate the angle was. Thanks
Where you got those saw set??
Harbor Freight. They are not good quality, but they are cheap.
Or you can make one out of a screw driver and a hand help blow drier, also some super glue
Great review, would have been perfect without the music.
Nice, I am looking to get one. What do you use to bend your tubes?
Look at Eastwood catalog Got some nice stuff in there I got tubing bender and notcher from them works very well
Thanks for the review
But that thing is junk
No indexing to do sharp angles
Not bad for a $100.00 tool.
100$ vs 35$ harbor freight. Its basically a harbor freight copy but for 65$ more.
Dude please clean your shop, how do you live like that?
'"Compared to the Harbor Freight.......DUDE!!!! Its the EXACT SAME ONE!!!!
The Chinese companies make multiple brands of the same thing.
