@@HillbillyYEEHAAOf course that's the only thing I concluded. He mentions that this product is unimportant and that perhaps it would be important if he were older. He never mentions an obstacle due to immobility or anything else.
Actually the calluses under your feet is a protective layer for the skin since us humans use our feet a lot (walking, running, etc.) also cuz it has sensitive sensory nerves and receptors so one wrong move can really hurt the bottom of your feet if not protected by that protective layer
Sometimes they do need to be thinned out, though, if they get too thick. I'm a dancer, and while I rely on my callouses to protect my feet while teaching and training, they can get irritated if they're too thick, and cause more harm than good. Something like this would be really helpful for keeping them at the right level of protection for my feet. Currently I use a pumice stone, but it's not my favorite option.
@@Izzy-cp8ytadding on to this if they become way too thick a horrible thing happens I don't want to say the horrible thing but it's one hell of a hospital trip it's horrifying and there's a lot of images on Google and I don't want to say it cuz I don't want to accidentally remind someone of it (it's called degloving, can happen whenever calluses make your skin too stiff and tight, or more commonly people try to take rings off their fingers and the Rings take their fingers instead)
Yeah but there's a few things you need to be aware of mostly good hygiene practices because calluses can grow over bacteria and this can cause infections it's also important to wear certain types of socks and of course changing them out everyday for some people they have to change them out throughout the day if they have certain skin issues
Adding to this as well. I don't know too much medical stuff but I have seen a lot of cases where extreme calluses Crack and break. It could trap bacteria and just be generally painful. It's always good to remove them when you can because not only does it ward off bacteria, take away pressure/tension in the foot or it just makes you feel nicer having soft feet. I know I hate having calluses when I sleep because it is rough and annoying skin against my more gentle and soft skin
A less horrifying reason to get rid of them, they’re rough and uncomfortable when ya touch your foot w the other foot. They can catch on your sheets and blankets which is also a weird feeling. Don’t rub ur feet raw ofc, but ya do need to maintain it as you would your toe nails. I really regret reading the other peoples reasoning tho god I learned things I could’ve gone a lifetime not learning and been much happier for it 😂😂

USE COCONUT OIL!! Actually, my mom's feet is EXTREMELY! EXTREMELY! cracked and she did this, now her feet is improving 1. Dip your feet in warm salt water for 5 - 10 minutes 2. Apply coconut oil
If you keep your feet moisturised then it dramatically reduces the amount they dry out and get cracked. Take it from someone who's had feet at least a decade longer than the person in the video. Also exfoliate your feet when they have had a soak.
Try using a diy moisturizer,it works like miracle, for moisturizer mix 3tbsp of lemon juice and 3tbsp of glycerin ....make sure to mix equal quantity of both....it will leave your feet babysoft and hydrated.
While taking a shower or right after, the dead skin softens. It is because it has been in water for about 10mins or so. Then you should use an exfoliating glove, a loofah or a pumice stone to GENTLY exfoliate your feet. I recommend doing it regularly and gently as part of your shower routine and to use a moisturizer on the feet after you clean your exfoliated zone. You can use the moisturiser on your feet once in a while when you achieve your aesthetic goal with this routine. You'll never have dry feet. But this is an add, so it'll try to sell you whatever.
Honestly what works great for me is just using crocs in the shower instead of a shower mat because they get nasty. Crocs get dry quick and they kinda exfoliate anyways, like it sounds like itd fwel weird but it works so well.
I’m a ballerina and lots of the time I’m turning barefoot so the bottoms of my feet are like the sole of a shoe not even joking but it’s so smooth and hard that it’s better for turning
Yeah, i live in the country and grew up barefoot most of the time, so I have a protective layer. I honestly don’t think people should get rid of this as the layer protects your nerves and skin
I see no one mentioning but foot creams and moisturisers exist, I used an aloe Vera cream at night before going bed when I was younger growing up cause my toe had a sensitive hard shell spot from a shoe I wore to school, until I grew too lazy to keep up, and it stays in really well and worked out for me then, I also think you shouldn’t grate or scrub your skin when it’s dry instead when it’s wet/ moisturised so the skin won’t be unnecessarily damaged it also softens up the dead skin and easier to remove.
Put ur foot in hot water for around 15-30mins used rough clothes twist it n clean ur foot using soap on the hot water. Everything will come off n put glycerine on the foot n cover ur foot with plastic bag overnight . It will help you alot
Just use quite rough stone. Idk exactly it is called in english and use water so that you won't hurt yourself. It also works throughout the body. I think that's cheapest option
Wow! I guess i never realized how lucky i am that just a pumice stone in the shower keeps my feet smooth. I get regular pedicures, and they joke because i'm so low maintenance for them.
This happened to me once. I have REALLY dry skin. I just wet my feet, added lotion, and wore socks daily. It might not work for everyone but i know it works for some.
That design is super cool! Is there any way to add a grippy texture/etching on the side where you hold it? It can get slippery when wet and for those who have grip issues/disabilities, it would really help
I would recommend Japan foot mask and foot care you just leave that to your feet for about an hour and it will peel(but of course don't force to peel it let it peel it self)and it's affordable
I. Dont know why i would ever try to get rid of my callouses tbh I walk barefoot way too often to get rid of that protection lol Dont blame you for wanting to get rid of them tho :D
