Yes, I enjoy the leaves mixed into salads, and cole slaw, cooked into vegetables, and even mixed into yogurt. First, pick a bunch of the little, tender new leaves. Rinse them off. Leave them in the fridge a couple hours to Tenderize ( dehydrate) and sweeten. Crush or rip them a little and add to foods, raw or cooked. They kinda taste like cranberries, and are a beautiful garnish! P S: I don’t use stems, b/c they’re tough.

Wow! Thanks for the bit of info. I made like four videos on Rosella Hibiscus, mostly for my own entertainment and record-keeping, but did not know you could stick a clipping into the ground and have it root! Plus I had no idea you could do the flowers. Sheesh! Just when I thought I couldn't possibly love this plant more. Thanks so much.

This is different from Roselle. You can't eat the pods on this plant.

I've boiled the leaves, to me the taste of the leaves give a tangy berry like taste. I prefer the young red leaves

Hi , I am going to try the flowers in cranberry hibiscus, As I was looking at my bushes there were at least enough flowers. My question is should I pick the flowers in the evening, when they close, or should they fall on the ground and pick in the morning? Thankyou 🦋

My flowers are a very deep burgundy. Do you think this is still the edible flower? Everything else is the same as far as leaves, stems, flower blooming behavior, etc.

Can you dry the buds after they close and just keep for future use? Or do u need to use immediately after the flower closes? Can it last longer if it's dried?

I already forgot about these. Better order one before I forget again. I have about 100 different edible plants since last year. I'm replacing all my grass and shrubs with food
