I have loads of router bits..... but no router, very nice project. Think you need some planes hanging from the ceiling now. Like the lego gear clock too
A hobbyist 1/4 inch router are priced very affordably these days. Just forgo your daily take-away coffee for a few weeks and bingo you will have enough to buy a nice router.
I was about to comment that the forklift looks bad on the floor, but then you added the last plywood right at the end. That completes the look. Nice work.
Ok, so sorry for missing the beauty shot with the lights on. The video camera just didn't do it justice! So I've posted a still image taken on my phone in the community section. Looks great 👍
Good idea, as these creations certainly does NOT deserve sitting in boxes or hidden away in any way. They are simply BRILLIANT and needs to be displayed !
This shelving system is overkill for holding your Lego projects, but on the plus side it will never collapse under the loading. It might pay to put some caps on the floor ends of the posts so that you don't end up with divots in your timber flooring.
its really cool too see them all in one place. all of them look really awesome. i might also use this to create my own shelving unit for all of my legos.
It looks awesome, nearly perfect. You know what would make it better? to use some lego strips to hide the metal bars of your rack ... 😜 1 x 8 strips (of course in the same scale as you made the tractor, bulldozer and forklift)
@@MattDenton I made everything, several times. But I lost the front wheels and steering of my Tractor one day in a multi-car park 😞, it fell off and rolled away before I could get to it
You got the IKEA DETOLF as we all have as a display shelf in the back but what shall we call this new one. IKEA rules of names shelves: occupations . So "snickare" (carpenter as the maker of lego was)
@7:25 I was about to question if the tractor wasn't older than the forklift.. but it is set 852 Vs 850 for the forklift.. the tractor's design feels older somehow..
The 4 dislikes are from Lego people who need to know if their house I made of flesh or if they are made of house. This is definitely a problem I thought would have never happened to anyone ever because I never thought anyone would scale up Lego for some reason.
Matt, given your pedigree for being a Lego Master Builder, have you missed a trick with these shelves? The steel pipework clearly has good structural integrity but looks a bit dull given the articles on display...!! (No offence 😘) A real touch of class could have been to give the appearance of using technic axles & couplers for the frame. Maybe you could 3d print a pseudo coupler shell to clamp over the corner brackets 🤔
You were mentioning that the PLA seems to shrink. Have you encountered that problem more than once? I had the same feeling once, bit can't seem to find anything about it. Is that normal for PLA?
Love your channel, Matt. But these “stories” are irritating. No your content, I mean the fact that they seem to stay on people’s notifications and you can’t seem to delete them!! I keep seeing your story from 4 days ago. Am I missing a trick to remove them ?
One of my favorite youtube channels. So cool seeing lego stuff thats more life sized
Thanks 👍
Same actually, legos are awesome, but them being big enough for real use is even more AWESOME.
I have loads of router bits..... but no router, very nice project. Think you need some planes hanging from the ceiling now. Like the lego gear clock too
The gear clock will be a video and project soon

Maybe just add one more round of pipes around the bottom, so it elevates the base shelf off the ground and completes the pipe structure
Yeah may need that
Maybe a mirror down the back...mmmmmmm so so so cool what a collection.
I was about to comment that the forklift looks bad on the floor, but then you added the last plywood right at the end. That completes the look. Nice work.
Thanks. Yeah I may add another frame too
People would love seeing these at Lego conventions and things - maybe some day you could take them on tour.
Yeah I’d be happy too if I get invited :)

Matt Denton pls make a... lego helicopter but its a car
This is so cool. But doesn't Lego give you a hard time for reproducing their product? Would like to try this but I'm hesitate because of this
No. It’s an old kit and I’m not really impacting the brand so 💁
Wow, it is my first time to watch so big LEGO. Really good!!!
Thanks 👍
Man oh man, I have no words... you, sir, are a treasure of a human being and finder of nobler purpose for 3d printing.
😂 thanks 🙏
Awesome 😀 I got myself a Chiron. Loved putting it together, also added some LED's to it. Would love to have a big version haha.
Great collection and a great looking display!
Thanks 👍
Good tip on the slack fitting bricks. I have a few loose on my bulldozer build 👍
Posters of the box art behind each one on the wall? Fantastic job!
Good idea, as these creations certainly does NOT deserve sitting in boxes or hidden away in any way. They are simply BRILLIANT and needs to be displayed !
Thank you 👍

It's defiantly overkill! But I like the style. Caps already fitted 👍
I'd add tubes to the bottom shelf. Triggers my inner OCD.
I may do that
You should put some kind of glass or acrylic around that or they’ll pile with dust
Yeah maybe..
its really cool too see them all in one place. all of them look really awesome. i might also use this to create my own shelving unit for all of my legos.
Good idea. It's very strong and simple.
Aww no beauty shots with the lights?
Yeah the camera driver don't like the low light. I'll post a picture
7:17 you're right!
850: Fork lift 1977
851: Tractor 1977
856: Bulldozer 1979
YESS! I'm so glad I got that right 😁
Looks fantastic! But we need to see it with the LED lights on!
I know.. I juts couldn't get the camera to work well in low light.
I had all 3 of these "expert builder" kits when I was a kid. Still have them and several others in a massive storage container filled with Legos
Keep them.. they were the best kits IMO
@@MattDenton I also had the massive car chassis model too. I mowed a lot of lawns to pay for that one.
Yeah I still have mine 👍
Love the Lego clock
Video soon 😊
You should make a giant LEGO lawn mower
The original ones near the giant versions is a really nice touch.
Thanks 👍
It look so strange when you build this gigant lego... soooo nice
Thanks 👍
So rad
i have to say that the big ones are so cool
Thanks 🙏
I would like to have this at home. It looks so cool!
It looks awesome, nearly perfect. You know what would make it better? to use some lego strips to hide the metal bars of your rack ... 😜 1 x 8 strips (of course in the same scale as you made the tractor, bulldozer and forklift)
Yeah I was thinking grey knuckles on the joints
@@MattDenton That would be nice !
I liked what you did with the order thing
Thanks 👍
I love the clock, made out of a Lego gear!
Well spotted. Video and build coming soon 👍
I LITERALLY SCREAM OH MY GOD OUT LOUD WHEN I SAW THE THUMBNAIL!!!!
😆 hope you enjoyed 👍
Awesome job as always.. cant help thinking you should have made it from giant lego tho :D
I did consider it. Well at least dressing it with giant Lego 😁
Quality! Looks great.
Thanks 👍
Just AMAZING! Here after seeing you on FIRST community. Congrats on all the great work
Oh thanks 👍
I've got the original ones of those three lego models 🥰
Have you thought about making the Tractor farm machinery ?
Yeah I made the plough but nothing else
@@MattDenton I made everything, several times. But I lost the front wheels and steering of my Tractor one day in a multi-car park 😞, it fell off and rolled away before I could get to it
I actually found my tractor in it’s box in my garage at the weekend! Gonna have a go at rebuild it soon.
thats what we need in every brick cave :D ... awesome display. thanks for sharing
👍👍

Interesting .. in bit sure I completely follow you but sounds good 👌👍
Nice one, how about some acrylic glass in front and on the sides to keep dust away?
Yeah maybe 👍
Just..... too..... cool....!
Thanks
@@MattDenton My son said to me "I can't make up my mind who would be a cooler uncle - Matt Denton or Mark Rober". High accolade indeed!
That is a high accolade! If only I had his subscribers 😆👍
This is just awesome. Works of art, the tractor is my favourite. Can you start 3D printing the old style lego Houses?
Thanks . Real scale! 😆
i love your new clock !
And they look great together. You've donne a great job of it !
Thanks. Clock video coming soon.
I saw that too! That's freaking awesome!
Matt , now what’s next 🤔.. love watching your videos, plus your are one of are team builders . 👌🏻
BEST CHANEL EVER!!!
THANKS 👍
Oh, I want some giant Lego now!
@7:25 I was about to question if the tractor wasn't older than the forklift.. but it is set 852 Vs 850 for the forklift.. the tractor's design feels older somehow..
I agree. It looks older and simpler.. which is why I question myself every time!
Showed this to my mom and dad and they loved it! Keep it up Matt!

Is that a LEGO gear clock on the mantle? Love it!
Yes. Video coming soon 👌
Matt Denton Can’t wait! Thank you for all you do and all these amazing builds you create. Never give up and always keep moving forward!
i have an actual tractor that looks pretty similar to ur lego one. thats cool
I'm jealous 😁
That's one of PLA's weaknesses, it deforms permanently under pressure
Interesting.
@@MattDenton I guess by now you know, that this effect is called creeping.
Like the models displayed, but What about the go-karts? And i like your legogear clock
Are you planning to create Porsche or Bugatti Chiron? or Millennium Falcon maybe? :-)
😬.. no 🤣
Great video. Nice display case. You're going to need a bigger house! Mahalo for sharing! : )
Thanks.. I need a bigger workshop! 😆

Believe me I thought about it 😆 I'm still considering paining the tube black and printing knuckle covers for the joints 😁
Good thing that you didn't model the first Technic car, it wouldn't fit on your shelving at the scale you are working at.
I know 😆
I've been waiting for a video
Enjoy 😆
Nice!
You were mentioning that the PLA seems to shrink. Have you encountered that problem more than once? I had the same feeling once, bit can't seem to find anything about it. Is that normal for PLA?
Yes I think it is normal for it to shrink back a bit over time.
Do the lego emarald night
Give me one 3dprint long board
Do a 3d printed nintendo game consoles
Is it just me or did anyone else think the forklift needs a pallet which could be raised and used as a side table? :D
😆👍
Big boy toys
So cool to be a « Childult »😂👍🏻👏🏻💪🏻😂

Have you gotten any recognition from Lego?
No. I don't think they like fan art 😒
