Greatest player of all time #fact
he's awesome but that is an #opinion
Carlsbetg, some people say john mayer on his videos lol really.
One of his early student turned out pretty good..... BUCKETHEAD.
Mr Paul Gilbert, and BUCKETHEAD are in my five favorite Guitarist, together with Yngwie J Malmsteen, Jason Becker, and last but not least the legendary Shawn Lane.
Paul Gilbert guitar from the bottom of his heart ❤️
Paul will always be a guitarist’s guitarist. A true guitar hero who always saves the day.
Looking pretty business man esque in that suit, Mr Gilbert.
A man whose business is breaking through the shred paradigm to maximize the shred envelope.
Blending while my guitar gently weeps with the lead from scarified, so good!
and Bungalow Bill
That's just breathtaking...
That was Awesome!!🎸🎵🎶
A great musician with the eternal songs, congrats mister Gilbert!!!
Absolutely brilliant!!!
This should have 300m views …. Awesome
One of the best renditions of "While my guitar gently weeps", since Jeff Healey's cover, back in 1990!
Vinnie Moore does one of the best versions of gently weeps.🍻
Yeah! Vinnie moore
Chris Bowser!!! Thanks for the upload!!! Awesome. From the soulful Slowhand riffs, to the insane Stattaco, legato, 2 hand tapping, slide, etc. just badass! And he's calling audibles to guide the band when it's time to go to the next part! I imagine Paul can pull this off on any given day and with most songs. It's a level of musicianship, but also getting out of the bedroom and playing live, jamming, improvising........RUclips has a million guitarists with awesome renditions of seemingly impossible to learn versions of songs. And I'm jealous that they can replicate a nuance I'll NEVER GET. I think "what's the point in practicing if guitarjizzne1469 can freakin' nail Andy Timmons, or Vito, Jimmi, Eddie, Satchel, or Randy, etc. etc." Then I hear stuff like this version. OR, the Paul Gilbert and Andy Timmons doing Beatles' "we can work it out" live, and think "what's the point of even picking up my guitar? Again. Ever.
Seriously, great post! thanks!!!
PG, Kotzen and Greg Howe are the only remnants from the genre that shall remain nameless that I still follow and truly respect.
Without a doubt!
Andy Timmons??
Vai and Satriani?
Also Nuno
Well that's just beautiful 😍
Is there anyone better? And on top of everything else he's one hell of a nice guy self-effacing and full of good humor!
Amaging Guitarist! from Japan
Not only a complete master of guitar but an ego-less nice guy too. Phenomenon
Ego-less ? Hahahahahahaaaaaas 🤦🏼😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just Spectacular
This guitar reminds me of Guitar Wars in 2003
Paul Gilbert. Still great, if not, better, rather dapper, sophisticated shredmeister/guitar face extraordinare. Was awesome then and way cool now. The guy's a beast on guitar. I rest my case. LOL
Excelente totalmente!!!!!
Shred + tons of melody
It's like a satriani composition with Paul's style
All in all Got a Bluesy sound ))) Great!!
dino is out again nice.
When my sacrified gently wheeps...
What is the name of the accesory where he placed the slide???
A magnet installed into the guitar
how he use slider with a pick without making any noise?
cos he's not shit
He is the legendary Paul Gilbert, can do things that us humans not understand sometimes.
I have to wonder how much you'd enjoy this gig when experienced through a phone
Will, since I got my hands situated with the phone, and watched the entire show with my eyes, I'd say I had a hell of a time.
You can see he has stopped using alternate picking and is playing the fastest passages legato style. He's getting old. But on the other hand, his musicianship is far better than it used to be. I'm glad he has "evolved", honestly. Unlike some players...
Yes he uses more legato today, it seems he also changed the way he holds the pick again.
When he wants or has to, he can still alt-pick like the old days, recently with Mr Big for example he still does it, or some instructionals, but in his new solo material unfortunately it almost disappeared.
In the end it's all a matter of practice and sound for him, he's still as sharp and clean as a guitarist can be, the technique is there like always, but the Racer X and 80s days are long gone it seems.
Nicola Ferrari that new pickin technique is nowhere close to PG at prime man seriously , he was at technical peak perfectionism in his picking but he gave it up for whack bluesy stuff . PG at prime might not be as dynamic but will straight up butcher the shitt outta Old PG any fuckin day.
@@_azu7 you got one thing wrong. he was always a very dynamic player he just got more melody and blues over the years. id actually argue that he was more dynamic back then.
Thankfully enough, his change in appearance did not change his playing..
Phrygian dominant?
Amazing! PG always win says nuno bettencourt.. I wonder why does good guitar player never missed any of notes
Is that the same drummer from the album?
I'm not sure
Sure looks like it
Yeah. Paul actually had 2 or 3 drummers playing on his latest album. But he is one of them (sorry, forgot his name!)
He kills!
Yep, one of them, that's Bill Ray, phenomenal drummer.
un seul mot....tabarnak......
Someone lend that guitar a cigarette.
Hahahahahahahhaha
E.T
This guy makes me want to take all my guitars, saw them in half and throw them in a dumpster. I give up.
No, most of the greats aren't at this level.
he is awesome , but gary moore is the best.
Vinnie moore version much better..
No offense, Paul is great tho..
Who the fuck is this guy?
phone zombies...
Yet you clicked on the video 😅
Anyways, held phone, and watched him shred with my eyes.
Thanks for the comment!
If you are not good enough, you can still become a rock musician. Paul is good, but definitely not the best, because the best doesn't exist. Music is not a sport. And Pauls problem is, that he's copy himself all the time. Over the dacades it is boring.
Neat
A copy of yourself? Are you telling me that people dont have instinctual things they play on their instruments. I dont know how that is even a bad thing. Its your voice essentially
WTF was that?
Paul Gilbert, guitar god, playing some brilliant music.
Ok..but where is the music? Who cares how fast can you play...boring and uninspiring
