I am good friends with tiger. We've grown up in the same neighborhood.
I recall as kids he was always playing golf. He wanted to become a financial advisor but I told him to continue with his golf too. And he did. In fact I kind of coached him, even though i was a really good golfer, I didn't want to become a professional. Unfortunately I had an operation on my shoulder and elbow and had to stop playing. So I coached Tiger early on in his career. I taught him all I knew, which formed the foundation for his game. His dad was also involved.
This one time at about age 18, we both went on a double golfing date with twin sisters. The first day he got a hole in one. And I got stuck in the bunker. Swinging my club all over the place. I made a real mess and it was real frustrating. My date was waiting for hours waiting for me to finish off..
He was sinking his balls throughout the next week, as was I.
His date was very particular and made sure his balls were always clean and polished. And his clubs were always kept warm, specially the wood.
He became professional not long after. I think it was that golfing break that made him want to become professional.
We've kept in touch and he still calls me every week for a catch up. Sometimes we get together for a coffee.
He even have me green green jacket.

No, Tiger should have left the "other" holes alone. Look at how infidelity has ruined so many lives. Celebrities are not immune. Although with Tiger he's on so high of a level he still is doing quite well financially, but golf wise not so much.
