1997 & 2019. Beginning and end of imo, the best stretch of golf ever played by one man. I would however, love nothing more than to come back to this comment in a few weeks and edit it to say 1997, 2019 & 2024. 🐅 = 🐐
I wonder If we will hear these calls within 5 decades “for the 1st time, the island of Puerto Rico has a green jacket!” “We have a new all time major champion!”
@@AidanHolland yup, what happens on the course should always take precedence over a silly piece of paper, the truth is that there was a tie that was never resolved
The call itself was rather limited in most of these, but that’s okay, better to let the moment live on its own. My favorite sporting event of the year.
2019. Will never forget that moment, sitting in my family room with my wife and son, a blanket of fresh snow outside in the Chicago suburbs. The moment only grows more special as time passes.
It's a dream to hit that putt. but also its my dream to go there with my dad before he gets to old to walk the course. maybe one day we hit the lottery haha
Tom Weiskoff is literally in the last group every year at the beginning. Never won, though. I counted 4 times and in 1975 he was in the last group behind Nicklaus
2019 was the best and will always be the best. It was the greatest moment in the history of the game. The man who changed the game of golf. The man who inspired millions of kids to play golf. Everyone said that he would never win again yet he took down a field of some of the greatest players in the world. That’s Tiger Woods for you.
Was Jack Nicklaus afraid of black people? I couldn't imagine not hugging or at least shaking hands with your caddie after winning the Masters. Gary Player and Fuzzy Zoeller did it right. Props to those guys.
2019 is by far and wide the most iconic final call. Still brings a tear to watch it over and over
2004 is a true call
Uh no it isn't. Come on. Lol.
I can watch the 1986 last 9 holes all day. The golf channel should have that in a loop
Congratulations to all Masters champions. The greatest week in golf is almost upon us again.
Ballesteros' reaction to Player winning

I got Min Woo Lee winning it this year or maybe even Wyndham Clark
The Masters. My by far most favorite tournament of the year. My Masters television is waiting.
This is awesome, nothing gets me hyped like Augusta
I can't stop crying! These are so emotional!
As Japanese, 2021 is my best.
2019 is also my best in my life.
A tradition unlike any other 💚
Something about Vin Scully’s voice calling Player’s win in 1978 just gets me.
Love that 2010 call.
Masters has always been my number one major to watch. Respect to all other majors, but this one is special for reasons I don’t know ha. Just is.
Hearing Vin’s voice: priceless 🙏
2001 was my favorite. I think it was a combination of the call, and the significance of Tiger’s win.
1986 Jack NIcklaus hands down!!
I am 54 from the UK...now living in Georgia for the last 15 years. Mize 87, Ben 95, Jack 86 and the winner...Tiger 19
Feliz de que haya llegado la semana más especial del Golf
7:28 Larry Mize 🏆 ⛳️
There will never be another 1986. Best masters ever.
As a lifelong tiger fan, the call of Phil's putt in 2004 might be the best
That call by Vin Scully on Player's birdie on 18 in 1978.. is one of the greatest calls ever (amd Gary's round is one of the greatest ever)
86' Jack Nicklaus was THE GREATEST WIN!!!...The 🐐
Yes I agree. Greatest comeback
Loved Sergio’s win
I wonder If we will hear these calls within 5 decades “for the 1st time, the island of Puerto Rico has a green jacket!” “We have a new all time major champion!”
Still cannot believe that Larry Mize shot!
One of the luckiest shots in golf history. That ball was going 10 ft past the hole.
@@SoulMonster3Totally agree but it went in though. Poor old Greg Norman. That happened to him twice!
Neither can Greg Norman.
Mickelson 2004 was the best!
Great content!
In 1968, Bob Goalby at the time wasn’t aware that he was winning the Masters. The incorrect scorecard came afterwards. Such a shame too.
I've always said it should have been a playoff anyway. Golf is too rigid with its rules sometimes. Mistakes happen.
@@AidanHolland yup, what happens on the course should always take precedence over a silly piece of paper, the truth is that there was a tie that was never resolved
little weird in the early days it was just a bunch of white guys with black caddies playing in a tourney called "The Masters" lol
Crazy to watch the putter technology slowly evolve. Best sporting event in the world bar none.
If anyone wanted a preview of Scotty's putting woes ... there it was
so cool to see the black and white tv change to the color tv…. it came out in 1953, but it wasn’t common until the early 70s

Oscar the grouchs comeback in the last round down by seven,5 eagles 2 abalatros, and two birdies.we will never see his like again.😢😢
2004 was amazing and set Lefty on fire.

1986 was probably the best in my opinion
tiger's longevity is unbelievable. total absolute dominance. people forget
Umm, nope, Jack still #1 in the category that counts. Woods came up a car crash or so short.
@@elmateo624 Tiger's better than Jack and it's not close. Quality>quantity.
@@notoriouseagle1074 Tiger came up short. Check in when he wins more MAJORS.

1975 with Vin Scully!
Ooo and ‘77
“We have a tie.” 😂
I said that this morning when I was getting dressed.
The GD Catalina Wine Mixer.
1986...the best
Would really like a list of the announcers making the call
But some of the recent winners haven’t been in the last group though. How do the get to take the last shot to win it?
Jack in 72 looked older than in 86 😂
👏🏿👏🏿⛳️👏🏿👏🏿
🫡OUTSTANDING!!!
🔥💰💪🏾🏆
Just listen to the roars Tiger gets compared to everyone else.
A shame Patrick Reed had to sully this parade of champions.
Was that Big Sam on Crenshaw bag?
I just asked because Big Sam caddied for me once at Winged Foot
Vern’s and Koch’s were unscripted. Nance has it clearly written out which is so cheesy.
Tom Weiskoff is literally in the last group every year at the beginning. Never won, though. I counted 4 times and in 1975 he was in the last group behind Nicklaus
i have the facts.weiskopf was runner up 4 times as was nicklaus and ben hogan
He was snakebit mentally.
Great call in 1968. "We have a tie". lol

Vin Scully said Hail to the Victor for Jack Nicklaus? Uh, REALLY? He's from OHIO.
Ok folks. Who’s taking it in 2024?
More than Likely Scottie now that he’s putting better
I do have someone in mind but I'd rather not say as I have jinxed him before.
Rory gets the slam
@@thechristopherfaurisshow I think we’ll know if he’s going to after the first round
Let’s see if Rory can finally win it
They used to putt like weirdos back in the day
a lot of these calls are pretty lame lol....
Which would you say was the best Masters call
I cannot believe that he called Patrick Reed Captain America. His victory still gives me nausea.
Was Jack Nicklaus afraid of black people? I couldn't imagine not hugging or at least shaking hands with your caddie after winning the Masters.
Gary Player and Fuzzy Zoeller did it right. Props to those guys.
You assuming Nicklaus is racist over a hand shake and praising Zoeller who was actually racist towards tiger woods is peak internet.
