- KinetiClocK is crafted in Eastern Ontario from locally sourced Red Oak or Black Walnut and has a one year warranty. A glass enclosure with matching wood base & variable intensity LED illuminated matching wood top is available. International orders (220 V, 50 Hz.) are possible.

Thank you for your kind words - a LOT of time and care has been devoted to the operation and finish of every KinetiClocK.
They've taken the design of Harley Mayenschein and copied it....so innovative, no. However, they have used great material and good construction methods. Certainly a winner in function over the plastic, delicate copies.
@@kevinfetner7983 Thank you for your insightful comments. There is no question that the original design was brilliant! However, since every patent expires after a maximum of 20 years (in the countries where a patent was registered) the original design entered the public domain more than 20 years ago, enabling fresh ideas and constant refinement - in other words - the natural evolution of a clever design. There are improvements in the current KinetiClocK that provide increased aesthetics, dependability, and longevity. These innovative features will be highlighted at kineticlock.ca (now online).
@@613fatboy1 I can't wait to see/review it! On the Time Machine (which I have), the arm/scoop has an eccentric cam that triggers a micro switch to stop movement of the arm until the clock rolls around 360 degrees again. Not very complicated.....it looks like in your version, the arm/scoop is always going around?

Maybe do this, when "Activate Defence" like, soundproof it, because maybe the noise right made u want to sell? When going out or sleep, lift the soundproof.
Thanks for your interest and for your input. The noise of the clock is less under the case, but eventually, the sound does become normal.
Maybe its good like put at near door, thief may not try to enter.

Yes it is absolutely possible, in fact, these have been built using golf balls, billiard balls, and the ultimate - 10 pin bowling balls!

... is the arm moving at constant speed but vid is speeded up sometimes ??
The arm always rotates at the same speed as the second hand on a normal clock. This video has been sped up in several places.

@@613fatboy1 Cool clock. Maybe one could add a 3 foot high spiral reached by lengthening rotating arm, to add 30 seconds of spiraling rolling for prettiness. . .

@@613fatboy1 .. Just bend wire into spiral with soldering. RUclips , Metal ball rolling track .. You'd also have to mount the lengthened rotating arm up 1.5 feet or so ... Technically you could make rotating arm 10 feet it still rotates once a minute , only tricky part is making sure as arm whips by it can both pick up 1 ball and release 1 ball which sorta is tricky balls rolls slowly sideways off arm . . . . 2. You could add 10 arms and slow motor, if that makes sense. .

When is this coming
I have a bunch of photos and videos showing the fabrication process. I just need to edit them, then get them into presentable form. I have some clocks ready to ship now, but I'd rather have the site up and running first so you can see the build quality. Thanks for your interest!

KinetiClocK can't really be called a "knock-off". If it was, it would just be another clunky version thrown together with the cheapest materials, questionable workmanship, and shortcuts in fabrication, when compared to the original Original Idle-Tyme Rolling Ball Clock.
KinetiClocK is NONE of that!
Instead, KinetiClocK is the evolution of a tried and true concept from the 70's. The genius, novelty, and the fascination of the Original Idle-Tyme Rolling Ball Clock are all present in KinetiClocK however, design changes, fabrication methods, longevity, and appearance make KinetiClocK unique.
For example, the rotating brass arm & claw mechanism is EXTREMELY STRONG and DURABLE. Not only can you actually TOUCH this innovative new claw mechanism, but a KinetiClocK can be PICKED UP by the brass claws alone! This action sounds extremely destructive, but it WILL NOT AFFECT the operation, accuracy, or WARRANTY of your KinetiClocK ! ! !
