I absolutely love your Introduction to Fencing Videos!!! I have been watching them daily and they are a great additional resource from my Fencing classes:) The instructor is very informative, easy to be heard and understand, and breaks it all down incredibly well!!! The assistants and helps add to his videos awesomely too:) THANK YOU so much for all the time you took to make these! I have seriously loved learning to Fence and these are a massive help in learning things the right way, as well as helping my son who is taking Fencing with me:) There are so many videos out there and I have loved coming here and finding everything I have needed in these videos:) Awesome work!!!

which grip or finger placements offer more point control? having the thumb and index finger near the handle guard or having a bit of space between the guard and both your two fingers? or is this grip style only applies to french grip and not to pistol grip?

Ideally, first ensure you have a grip that is comfortable to your hand. Once you've settled with your grip size (pistol grip), you generally want your thumb and finger closer to the guard. The same is generally true for French grip, though there is usually a little more space between the thumb/finger position and the guard. "Pummelling" a French grip will give you a little more reach, but it can jeopardize your point control and the general control of the weapon.
