I think the reason why the Jet enemy caused an "end of level" death effect is because if you notice the modder used specifically the actual "Jet" name as opposed to one of the palette swap names like Tomcat or Mach. The Jet name likely is linked with the actual end of level boss from stage 2 so if you threw the actual Jet in at the start of a segment even if he's not the proper final boss it still causes that whole cinematic slowdown effect. I imagine it's the same if you were to fight Barbon instead of Wayne or Vulture, the Barbon death would look like a stage clear since that specific name is flagged as a boss while the other two are treated as typical enemies.
youre good man. i tried this hack as Max and i got as far as the elevator section in stage 4. the game moves insanely fast so you really need to stay on your toes

I am gonna try this one soon but I don't think u have played terribly man; even if u can cause gigantic damages on enemies + have infinite knee attacks knife stabs some of those levels were insane I mean thaiboxers at truck scene, 3 jets at the beginning of stage 4 - scene 3, extra Electras at stage 5 and so on....! This game seems technically more harder to me than it's original patch! 🤔🤔
You'll have to tell us how it goes after you play it. Yes, there was a lot of surprises in this one and that's what ended up dwindling my lives down. I'm looking forward to trying with another character :)

I know that I suck at Streets Of Rage 2 and not playing in it very well but the problem is when your reach a point the enemies are just coming and coming with 4x-5x times lives and I've got beaten by them almost easy I lost my first continue at stage 6 already, and the looping-trick just does not work here at all!😞 😞 Not a bad patch but also I've noticed many interesting and weird things during my game-play which are completely different in the original patch! But it was a lovely experience the unlimited knee attack and brutal damages made me laugh! 😁 😁

Yeah this is the one with the crazy color palletes. Green hulk max. Inf knife and inf knee lifts lol. Never messed around enough with this hack. I have it and looks fun.
