I love how you are inspiring each other. On the theme of emotional support birds I wonder if in Australia’s archived knitting pamphlets there is an emotional emu to be found.
I don't know what you're going through, but I do get the "it's okay to not be okay for a while". I hope that you have a lot of love and support around you to help you through this hard time. You have inspired me to pick up knitting when I was going through a not-okay period, and honestly, creating things have helped keep me sane and standing. So lots of love and appreciation and virtual internet support from a friendly virtual internet stranger
When my mom was dying, I was not ok. I still did work, homeschool and A LOT of dr appt with my mom. The family dog was a grey hound we had found at the local shelter. He loved me unconditionally. He did not care if i was crabby, crying, mean, nice, loving..... He would just put his head on my lap and refuse to leave me. I really, really miss him. He died when he was 15ish. We all need something to support us from time to time. Heal. We will love you from afar. ❤️
Support avian armada is a great name! A group of geese on land are called a gaggle, which also makes me chuckle, because to me it sounds like cackle. Geese in flight are called a skein, so the emotional support skein would also be funny since they're made from yarn.
I cannot put in words how happy your cute little stop-motion segment made me. Thank you for making videos that make me feel connected and not so alone.
I'm not okay either. This video brought me joy. The birds were so cute, that made me happy. And I also find comfort in the fact that other people besides myself are not okay either, and I'm not alone. Hope you feel better soon!
As my therapist always likes to remind me: “the only way through it is to feel it!” I am sending you, Nutella, and your new bird friends so much love. Thank you for sharing your projects and snippets of your life!
Thank you for trusting us with truth rather than faking it. One of the things I love most about your videos is your transparency when you make mistakes. You could edit those out, but, you are too genuine when taking us with you on your fiber journeys to do that. Thank you for who you are as a content producer…. Sending you every prayer, good vibe, encouragement, star alignment…. Whatever helps you through the tough time. ❤
When I had hard times in my life, I turned to knitting adorable animals. I found that even when things were falling apart and I had no control over it, I COULD control making this toy. And it was cute and everyone I showed them to thought they were cute and it absolutely helped heal me through it all. To this day, I occasionally knit myself an animal just to perk myself up when im down and I need the boost. I hope whatever you're dealing with passes soon. ❤
I admire you for maintaining your privacy yet sharing your vulnerability. I hope you have good family and friends around you to give you the hugs and support you deserve. Please know that you're extremely well thought of, loved and respected in our community. X
Thank you for being vulnerable while still keeping your own privacy intact. I'm thinking of you in this difficult time! It's amazing how therapeutic making little cute cuddlies can be. All the best to you 🐔🦆
Gotta say, the name Ms Cuddleduck made me smile - it's perfect for you right now. I don't know what they are called as a group but am glad it's not the same as crows. Sending best wishes to you for healing, but don't push yourself too fast. You deserve the kindness of time.
Reading so many heartfelt comments here made me realize what a remarkable emotional support clutch/flock you have all around you through sharing your touching video❤️
Chickens can be massive cuddlers. You'll be sitting there watching the chicken, and then suddenly she's tucking herself under your arm or sitting on your lap as she sings to you (usually discordantly). Sitting here hugging an emotional support unicorn named Boo Horse as I watched this.
Choosing joy, whimsy, and vulnerability is so hard when you're going through it, but here you are, making us smile, sharing yourself. I want you to know how much I look forward to your content, not just for your creativity, but for your genuineness. We're rooting for you. You might even say we've flocked to you. 😂
when this video came out, I was also struggling with some things, including the final course of my IT degree and the loss of a family friend, and in the stress of it all, i ended up clicking this video and never finishing it. now a few months later, i'm happy to have come back to it and found the comfort in the peaceful vibes and camaraderie of fellow fiber artists. you've been such an inspiration to me as a crafter and a programmer, and i appreciate your content a lot. sending much love to you and your "feathered" flock, and best of luck on your healing journey
Thank you for sharing your avian armada assembly! I'm glad they're there to cuddle through tough times. May the tough times pass soon even while your supportive flock remains! 🐔🦆
Feel better soon and make sure to be gentle with yourself. I love the chicken and ducks. They are all adorable and just looking at them makes me happy. It great to make some so sweet. Hugs from Minnesota.
The chicken and ducks are absolutely adorable, I hope they bring you the comfort you need. My favorite quote to think of whenever things get hard is "everything will be okay in the end, and if it's not ok, it's not the end". It reminds me that even when things are hard, and I'm struggling, I should keep going because it won't last forever, and there will be light at the end of the tunnel again. I hope that that light at the end of the tunnel is approaching for you, and that you remain kind and gentle with yourself as you deal with the tough times while remembering that healing- no matter what from- isn't a linear journey.
As I watch you I’m finishing my 6th Emotional Support Chicken. I used all different yarn weights. Mine have all been gifted except for one for me. My family has been going through an extremely stressful year so far so I understand the “I’m not okay and won’t be for a while” sentiment. Starting with my oldest daughter having brain surgery January 14 and one crisis after another through the year so far. Hugs to you.
As someone who has just recently started feeling better after going through it, I sympathize and I hope it turns around for you soon. Your support flock is so sweet!
They are all so cute! I'm not really a good enough knitter, more of a crocheter, to feel comfortable making things with shaping, but after Claude's video and now this one, I might just decide to be brave and try something new. The baby ducks are adorable and obviously a group of support birds must be called a snuggle.
@@freshoffthehook904 I might have to do the same, but I've made so many amigurumi pieces I've lost count at this point, and I've been dying to try something with that soft, neat stockinette fabric.
@@Chifaire hmm did you know there is a crochet stitch that lets you mimic the look of a knit stitch? I am blanking on the name but you basically work into the post of a sc instead of the top and it looks like the v of knit work. I used it for some fingerless gloves and it looks fantastic.
Came to your channel from retro Claude mentioning you and I just immediately subscribed, hope your okay now or at least better, I relate my cat is my emotional support but he has his moments and as he is getting older the less he wants to cuddle so I have this hot water bottle unicorn that I cannot be without, even take to peoples houses when I stay over.sending my love your way❤
I’m going through breast cancer treatment right now so oh, boy so I ever get the whole “get through it to get better” thing. Hang in there! Luckily for me my surgeon told me knitting is a great thing to do while recovering 😁 Your avalan armada is soooooo cute! I immediately thought of Jemima Puddle-Duck, too!
I wonder if a group of emotional support animals could be called a "caring". I like "comfort" and "cuddle" that were mentioned earlier too. Take care and hope everything's better soon.
I wasn't aware I absolutely needed knitted ducks in my life until now...they are so sweet and cheerful! You've done the cutest thing to comfort you, thank you for sharing, you are amazing!
In my experience it is very important to be honest to oneself when you are not ok. It is also good when you don't have to pretend for other people that you are OK. The internet does not need to know the story, but I think it is good, that you don't need to hide your emotions.
Hang in there with you're not okay-ness. We all have these times. Thanks for continuing your videos- they really help me a lot with stress and anxiety as well. 😊
Sorry to hear you’re going through a tough time! I understand the need for an ESC… I have made 4, and chickens 5-7 are awaiting stuffing and eyes! The duck family is super cute! Bravo!
Awww they are so cute, the ducklings are my favourite. I love the stop action parts well done 👏. I love all my teddies and they certainly make me feel better and brighten my day. Hope these guys do the same for you ❤
I’m sorry you are going through some stuff right now. I’m grateful you are willing to share that with us. I trust you will pull through and be stronger on the other side. I loved your lyrical sponsor spot, it was almost as cute as your emotional support avians!
I'm so sorry your foinf through a hard time, I've been following your videos for two years already and I noticed a while back you weren't doing well. I hope you have supportive people around you, and remember you're doing your best! You got this! I hope you have been comforted by the making and response to this video. It is just so cosy and nurturing. Thank you for inviting me in to sit beside you and crochet as we chat and just be in the space together. I hope Miss Cuddleduck is sitting neatly and providing the support you need.
The past several years have been really hard for me, too. I really hope you take time for yourself and that things turn around for you. Life is so damn cruel sometimes.
They are sooo cute! Especially the ducks! That stop motion sequence at the end was really sweet and very nicely done. And yes, a group of supportive birds is definitely a cuddle. Wishing you all the best, better times are coming!
Huge hugs, how lovely to share this journey with us, the emotional as well as the knitting of the support flock ❤. Fellow struggler here, glad to know you're confident it will get better. The ducks are so stinking cute 🥺 I can't stand it! 🦆
I've never made a stuffed animal intended for cuddling, and nothing this big! I have a fluffy and cute snake I made that could be cuddled, but everything else I've made is there to look pretty. So I really enjoyed watching this video and seeing something for hugs get made

Oooh! A cuddle is a fabulous name! ❤ so clever
Yes! ❤
Oh my, this is exactly the term to use!
What else could it be?
Was gonna propose 'a hug' but cuddle sounds better!
All the cuddles, none of the poop. Ideal emotional support birds.

I dont know what you are going through but it is ok to not be ok for awhile then work on being ok. Great chicken oh and the ducks so cute!
I love how you and Claude are friends. Love you both
The duck gusset might have been to help the bonnet sit easier but the rounded head is SO much cuter!!
That's what I thought, too.
A comfort of emotional support birds. Hope you feel better soon.
