    There used to be a lot of these tables about,when i was a kid,possibly due to it
    being on the telly (Freddie Trueman,Indoor League). Must've gone out of fashion.

      Bar billiards only went because all the pubs changed to pool tables instead

    Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the 5th shot the first player takes (starting at 35 seconds) a foul? He just sank the red ball then replaces it with a white one. If the red ball is off the table it must be brought up next, correct?

    • @Dreaded-Flower
      @Dreaded-Flower 2 года назад

      yes you always take the red if its in but i guess cause it was still falling and on its way to the ball case it was ok to take the white cause this is a game on time. but im not 100% sure

    • @tomr8652
      @tomr8652 2 года назад +6

      There is no rule about always playing with red ball except from starting position (first shot and when are all balls sunken) they take it almost every time because of it doubling ability ( when sunken doubles from that hole)

    This is the first time I have ever seen this game and I love it. I play 8 ball mainly and it is obvious to me that these players are making it look easy. Thank you for putting this up. Where is this played and is it still being played there? And, what are the rule?

    • @gazza42069
      @gazza42069 Год назад +1

      played mainly in england, rules are you can only make same shots 3 times in a row, then you have to make a different shot, the pockets are worth different points, the one behind the black pin are worth the most as its the most difficult shot, if you knock the white pines down you lost your entire break score, and if you hit the black pin down you lose your score entirely

    • @dennisgreenidge738

      That's generally a four pin rule. These guys are playing three pin.

  • @mailmallett

    This was fairly disapointing. It's the same shot every time. There is hardly any variation.

    • @tomr8652
      @tomr8652 2 года назад +1

      Yeah they make it repetitive when they can make that first shot 90% out of all, but they are amazing in those other situations

    Love Bar Billiards - trying to get a table for home, but the older ones are so expensive. Watching this game can anyone explain how at 2 mins 8 seconds the player accidently touches the white cue ball from the spot when drawing his cue back. The tip of the cue clearly hits the white cue ball moving it backwards, why is this not deem his shot and thus a foul shot bring the break to an end?

    • @dennisgreenidge738
      @dennisgreenidge738 Год назад

      The edge of the cue ball has to travel beyond the D before the shot is deemed to have been taken.

    Seriously, how can anyone find this entertaining? It's practically the same shot over and over. I couldn't watch beyond 3 minutes and then I forwarded it to find he was still there, same shot...over and over

      It can be a lot more entertaining when your playing someone with your level of skill. Where I’m from we play in a 4 pin league where there’s a peg in front of the 200, 100 and both 50’s making some of these shots a lot tougher. Also I should mention around here we have narrow tables so the shots are completely different angles

      @@granttully6807 it's not about the difficulty of the game, it's obviously hard playing like that. It's about the fact that it's not very entertaining to watch because it has no variations.

      It's a lot like playing mini-golf. Some people will travel to participate in a miniature golf tournament and some people will do stuff like this. And it is actually a bit harder than it looks.

  • @bigtalltim

    Is that not a foul shot at 0.40? The red is in the trough but he plays a white... He had already picked up a white as the red fell, which he then played... I'm pretty sure he should have waited for the red and played that first - certainly when he plays the shot the red is available and unused

    • @jaredbecker3152

      It's quite simple. The back row from. Left to right will give you the following point: 30, 20, 10, 20, 30
      The hole in the middle is 100
      The next 2 are 50 each and the o e behind the black pin is 200.
      Sinking white is 1 x point of hole. Red is 2 x point of hole.
      If you sink something you go again until you miss. To bank you points you need to at least hit 1 ball but not sink anything or knock over the white pins which is a fowl.
      If you knock over the black pin all your points are lost and that's pretty much it

      I disagree. I've played at a much higher level at pool than bar billards. The table has very little influence on a game of pool, but a potentially massive one in BB.
