Got this bag around 4 months ago, been using it almost daily and there's almost no sign of usage, spring is in good shape and to be fair i'd say it's an overall good product for what it costs. Would recommend!
Parabéns pela avaliação e explicação do produto. me ajudou muito na dúvida que eu tinha em adquirir um aqui na Decathlon (Brasil). Congratulations on the review and explanation of the product. It helped me a lot with the doubts I had about purchasing one here at Decathlon (Brazil).
Nice review. I am planning to buy a punching bag that will suit the home workouts. Still I have to decide between the Punching inflating bag (Punching machine 100) and the product you have reviewed, i.e. the Punching ball. The both are offered by local Decathlon retail shop. Thank you.
Thanks for your nice 👍 comment! I wish I could help you with your decision but, unfortunately, I have never tried the inflating bag from Decathlon. Cheers!
The top flew off in my use. That black screw holding the middle bar together loosens over time and before you know it the first bar flies off, landing a few meters away! Dangerous. Also, even with a full water load the whole thing can fully keel over. Not recommended for power punching.
Am I correct in thinking that the fact it moves back a little slower than some other reflex/punching balls/bags, might actually make it pretty good for someone who has zero prior experience in any form of combat sports?
quick question idk if you'd still answer but its worth a shot xD. just got this. having a blast with it. my neighbors aren't i think. i live in an apartment, filled it with water but i feel that hitting it (using gloves) resonates alot especially to the base therefore to my downstairs neighbor. wanted to ask how could i mitigate the noise. someone suggested to fill it with sand as sand would absorb the vibrations better but it would be a last resort for me
Filling the base of your reflex bag with sand instead of water can help reduce vibrations and noise. Sand is denser and less likely to move or shift with impact, leading to less resonance. Additionally, you could place a thick rubber mat or foam padding under the base to further dampen vibrations and absorb the impact. These solutions can help minimize noise transfer to your neighbors below.
I am curious about durability. I had a "Move It" bag (it's one I got from an indiegogo campaign, it had some bluetooth features that barely worked), which is comparable in price to this one. The first Move It lasted 2-3 months (2-3 ~40 minutes uses every week) but the bag got shaky halfway through (you'd feel some odd vibration/looseness when punching it), and eventually just flew off when I punched it at the end. I got a replacement bag from the company, the replacement bag lasted a month, same thing, flew off as I was punching it. Either it sucks or I'm secretly very strong. I enjoy working with a reflex bag and want to get a different one, but I'm worried about quality considering how bad the Move It was.
Well, I can talk from my own experience. I bought my first Outshock Punching Bag almost 2 years ago and still like it very much and I haven’t had any issues yet. So, in terms of durability, I am quite impressed, to the point that I bought a second one. You see, my two sons and I are competitive amateur boxers and we work on the Reflex Bag on a regular basis and one wasn’t enough. So I am still please with the durability and quality of those reflex bags. On the other hand, I recommended to our local gym to buy one but it wasn’t used properly and now the spring is all loose, only after a few weeks of use. I made a video on what not to do: ruclips.net/user/shortsjjSe37MkyQw?feature=share So I guess, if you use it right, you will enjoy this reflex bag. That is my own personal opinion and other people have had different experience with it, some negative, some positive. I never tried the Move It bag, maybe some day I should buy one and compare it with the Outshock Pinching Ball! That would be a fun video to do.
Well… I hope that you are getting along with your neighbors because it does make some noise. It isn’t as bad as a speed ball but still, it gets a little noisy. If I were you, I would use the reflex bag when it is less likely to disturb my neighbors, maybe when they are gone for work or late afternoon/early evening (when everyone is pretty much busy cooking, doing chores, watching TV, playing around, etc.). Thanks for your comment!
Oh! 😧 that is unfortunate! How about returning the product to the store? It must have some kind of a defect. Hopefully you can exchange it with another one. Apart from that I am not sure what you could do to get the bar unstuck. Sorry 😞
Do you have to fill the base to the maximum capacity? (I’m using water) Because I want to be able to move it easily. Also how hard can you punch the bag? Thanks, great video very helpful!
Hi there, I have fill the base to its maximum capacity. If not, it may move when you punch. But, to be honest, it is actually pretty easy to move it around by dragging the punching ball on the floor. But, it may also depend if your ok with dragging in on your floor or if you have to lift it up. You can hit the ball pretty hard but I have found that it is most effective at, let's say, half my maximum power or less. I recommend a heavy bag if you want to do powerful punches. Hope this help!
@@gamingcompilation8817 I have the same and I used water half capacity and with one hard cross it toppled once I filled it full it does not move even at full force
🤔 Difficult to say because I haven’t seen your spring coil on your Reflex Bag. Is it rusty? Is there any unusual deformity or bump? You can also try to add lubricant like WD-40 but it may be better with some grease. Make sur the spring coil is fully covered.
That is a good question for which I don't have an answer for! I have checked on Decathlon's website and there is no mention of volume (I am assuming you are refering to the volume of the base). Cheers

I've got two of them. One is quiet and good, another one is noisy (spring coil making noise). Should I oil it??
@@Goononymous Sorry for the late reply but yes, you can add oil to the spring.

put some shock/sound absorbing material between the base and floor

Super fast! It was available in store. I did not buy it online.
How tooo fill sand or water
At the top of the base, remove the spring and stick if it is on it already. You will then be able to poor sand or water in it 😃.
Thanks a lot

Bro you didn't say the price?
140$ + tx (Canadian dollar)
If would be good if it was about 6 inches taller
I agree! However, you build a base and put the punching ball on top of it to increase it’s height.
What is the height for that punching bag?
Adjustable height (130 - 160 cm).
What's ur height?
5’9’’
This base is a SOB to fill with sand. Terrible design to fill with sand!!!
Thanks you for sharing this comment, it sure will help others to make a sound decision when it comes to filling the base with sand or water.
I used a funnel, it made it easier to fill.
I used water, it's great for the price
