  • FaZe Clan pulled off a 3-0 sweep against G2 Esports but it was one of the closest CSGO finals ever at IEM Katowice 2022. Karrigan, Ropz, Broky, Twistzz, and stand in jks managed to overcome NiKo, Jackz, huNter, m0NESY, and Aleksib.
IEM champions FaZe attended a press conference after the match to talk about the absence of rain, how they managed to win such an intense final, and ropz making the decision to join FaZe instead of G2.

I would like he chose EG or Mouz if they wanted him. Eg because of malek, with him around, the team spirit always in positive vibes, also reunited with rush (ex-col). Maybe replacing brehze.
And for Mouz, replacing nbk lol. But I doubt it, as mouz just signed him in last month (ngl he got experience but he's too washed up), so maybe bymas. This team for sure will be championship contender this year. Not to mention, he will reunited with his countrymen, Dexter. The org seems nice too.
There are few team like vitality (Misutaa), fnatic (if brollan decided join nip). But the environment in these orgs is not nice in my opinion.

This tourny was the perfect storm. FaZe found an incredible stand-in in JKS, a player that is most known for his lurk role but has been told by experts that he would fit in aggressive entry roles. It was then just sheer luck that the 2nd guy he had to replace in rain plays the aggressive entry. The 2nd thing as karrigan mentions in the interview is that we cant forget the fact other teams gets the mental burden of "having to win vs a team with a step-in". That puts all the pressure on the enemy team, and no pressure on FaZe. My point here is that it's not certain that replacing jks with rain going forward would be a winning formula, because the pressure is now on FaZe and if jks had become a team-member that mental factor of "having to win vs step-in" gets removed.
So, don't be so quick to call out replacement of rain for jks. But as a FaZe fan I must admit I want em both.

No, seriously, he is getting better and better, but ahs that shy baby face, which could hit rly hard with those 6ks. Two best form teams faced each other in the finals. I feel that both of them really won. It wasn't like FaZe dominated or anything.
