    The Model Y is the perfect blend of utility and fun , with no real compromise. I'll take the model y in that quicksilver paint.

    Great comparison. Bought a 2023 MYP in December and test drove a new M3 a week ago while charging. Much prefer the roominess of the MY.

    Have tested the Model 3 and Y every year or two and was always disappointed with ride quality and noise. Test drove the New 3 against the current Model Y recently, and the feel was drastically different! Love the new Model 3, but need the space that the Y offers. So I will sit on the sidelines until the new Y Juniper comes out, compare it to the other offerings on the market, and go from there. The Y feels very dated at this point!

    Great video. Keep up the good work. I ordered my MY RWD Midnight Cherry red with white interior a week ago. I coudn't wait for the Juniper upgrade and believe the differences aren't worth the wait. But it is a matter of personal taste. Have you decided yet on moving to Portugal permanently? Have a wonderful day!

      The red is beautiful! Yeah it will be a long time before we get a whiff of the Juniper, by then if it’s worth it you could always trade in 😉. yes we are permanently based in Portugal - but we might move from Algarve either to Lisbon or Matosinhos 😃

    Which do you think will depreciate faster in 1 year? 24 M3 LR has new refreshed design, but 24 MY LR has higher global demand. Could you also tell a difference in highway wind noise or just road noise? Test drove a 24 Y and it rode quieter and smoother than I expected given most people online seem to indicate the 3 is so smooth and quiet now. Was pleasantly surprised!

    Great video. The model 3 is way better looking in my eyes, so if you need a massive car, the Y should be the choice. If you don’t need a massive car, the 3 is more efficient, drives better (lower and weight is lower and smaller car) and yeah better looking to me. But amazing with the two choices

    We recently went through this decision for our second car. Family of 4 with 2 tweens. We went w/ the 2024 M3LR for the reasons you cited, mainly better overall drive and feel. The rear seats in the M3 are a little tighter, but more comfortable than the current MY. Plus the kids liked the Bluetooth option for back screen. Agree that if MY Juniper is closer to the M3, it will be the standard to beat in the midrange EV market.

      100% - I do feel the quality is definitely a bump up in the new M3 over the old MY - I just test drove the Model S Plaid for the first time today, and I am super impressed at what the M3 has for the price point. The Model S above the M3 in terms of seat comfort etc, but the M3 comes close 🥲

    Thank you for the video, buddy. I live in the US and we get a $7500 tax credit which currently makes the cost of the 2024 MY Long Range (eligible for credit) the same as that of the M3 RWD (not eligible for credit). I personally like the new M3 since I like the new tech and don’t have a family but I fear that if the tax credit eventually becomes eligible for M3 in a few months, I would suffer from depreciation.
    What would you suggest?
    Also, What are your thoughts about the upcoming M3 Ludicrous? Cheers!

    • @europeinatesla
      @europeinatesla  4 месяца назад

      This is a good question! It really depends on if you need a bigger car, bigger is not always better 😅😂 - when do you think they will (or if they will make it eligible for tax credit?)
      I am quite interested to see what the new Performance model is like, I just test drove the Model S Plaid today (video coming soon) and it was absolutely nuts. I don’t know if I would spend so much on the performance model 3, I think the sweet spot in terms of price and features will probably be the LR… but if you want an insanely fast (and relatively cheap) rocket, the new M3P is gonna be absolutely insane

    Hello,I am deciding between the standard range of the Tesla Highland with 19-inch wheels and the Tesla Model Y. It's a tough choice, so I would appreciate your advice. What is the real driving range of your Tesla Highland and the standard range of the Tesla Model Y? Is it worth choosing the Highland with 19-inch wheels over the 18-inch size? What would be the advantages? Regarding the Tesla Model Y, is the ride less comfortable and noisier compared to your vehicle? I am planning to choose the Blue color with a white interior and 19-inch wheels, but I have not seen it in person, as we do not have a Tesla showroom in Lithuania, and I have not seen these models in our city. Have you seen this configuration, and what is your opinion?Thank you for your help.

      Hi! Sorry for the late response
      I can't comment too much on the 18" wheels for the Model 3, since I've only driven with the 19". I can imagine that it would be even more comfortable than the 19 since it's higher profile so it can absorb more surface roughness. The 18" has better range than the 19" when the aero covers are on - I think about 10% more.
      Real range I get on my 19", is around 350km, if I drive really slow, I can get up to 450km - you can see a more detailed test here: ruclips.net/video/pgvS9YtRN_0/видео.html
      I'm not sure about the real range of the Model Y, but I would expect it to be somewhat similar or slightly less as it's bigger (same battery capacity).
      In terms of ride comfort, the new Model 3 has better suspension and is a bit smoother and quieter and overall feels a lot more solid than the Y.
      I've rarely seen the blue but it is a nice colour - I think it's also a great choice!

    Hi nice video,
    Owning an MY RWD MiG i would appreciate the back screen, even more smoother ride and ambient light of the new model... 😊
    But apart from the MY space, the main reason for opted for MY mid last year was:
    - Made In Germany, meaning megacasting front and back.
    - BYD blade battery, faster charging and LFP chemistry I can charge to 100% at home any time i charge.
    - back then smoother suspension among the MY's
    - rear motor is the same as MY Performance 😊
    Not sure if such blend is still available.
    Think of a video describing the several MY specs .... Germany, China, US 😊

      Ah! That is quite interesting! I think the MY I drove was made in china, I definitely think there are quality variances across the different manufacturing regions - for example the paint - I think on the US models, they omit painting the parts that aren’t visible… will definitely look into it and see if I’m able to source the different made cars

    Hi There, thank you for yet another helpful video. Couple of questions . 1) Do you have to frequently have to change your tires? 2) what are your thoughts about autopilot? It’s 12k and so want to make sure it works during rain and snow. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

    • @europeinatesla
      @europeinatesla  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you for your support!
      1. I don't think it's very frequent - I've got the RWD model so it will last longer than the Long Range (AWD) - so I can rotate the tyres and potentially drive them for much longer. I don't think it's that much more frequent than a fuel-car equivalent...
      2. I think the autopilot has been ruined by the latest update, I hope they fix it. I do NOT recommend buying EAP or FSD if you're based in Europe - because it doesn't work like the way it does in the US. The best would be to use my referral so you get 3-Months free EAP when you get your car - if you like it, you can always buy it in-app afterwards: ts.la/chienlun580702

    The new MY is a simplified version of MY2023. Tesla in order to cut costs. You can look at the tail lights, they are simplified and the middle design is gone. Just added an ambient light interior. Better Choose the old version
