Great ending to a great dlc.

Arashimaru's pragmatism is really something. That is one down to earth ninja. This is my favorite ending of this tale. While the other is also really interesting and hits at the origin of Jinkuro's sword (therefore, being the "canon" ending, much like Okoi's first ending) the fact that Arashimaru and Shirohebi end up listening to prayers together is endearing.

Fun fact: Both Kisuke and Arausmaru were kidnapped by the Iga clan ninja and used as slaves, weapons and tools. Untill Asaumaru takes revenge on the Iga clan after knowing the true of his family. While Kisuke betrays the Iga clan to find love and regain his memories. (They possibly work together as ninjas in the past maybe?)

Funny how the main difference between how things play out in this and the other ending is the fact that here Arashimaru played it safe in the end by killing the monk from a distance rather than going close quarters - giving him the chance to strike him with the blade.
Kinda teaches you the lesson to never get too overconfident or you may lose everything just before you achieve your goals.

I also see it as a reminder of the most powerful weapon of truly evil beings: deceit.
Take Aku from Samurai Jack for example, many of his victories (or in some cases near-victories) were the result of him playing Jack right into his hands. However, as time went on, I noticed that many of these types of plans would fail more frequently mostly due to Jack wising up to Aku's treachery.
The fact that Arashimaru's pragmatism countered the treachery of Mumyo in this ending is also a testament to this lesson.

Man he took his punishment like a man, and he ensured his brother will prosperous in his sacrifice.
A manly way to die, and he gets a snek goddess girlfriend and he turned into a demigod also (not by his choice tho)

I think they became a ghost couple and then reincarnated to become a living and breathing couple again.
Similar to Kisuke 1st ending where he got reincarnate. Arashimaru probably reincarnated as one his brother's son's. Being the children of Dangoro Okabe(Arashimaru little brother) or Kisuke and Momohime children. The possibility are endless for this ghost couple.

If I were Shirohebi I'd made Arashimaru wear nothing but his sexy red fundoshi as a ghost. An even more fitting "punishment" for him especially with his new "partner/master".
