I DONT GET IT ? Longtime boxing fanatic since five when my dad won in the Golden Gloves twice before medaling in war , I say this as we just lost him a couple years ago and todays his B-Day , And to state I know the game and boxed too, But loved every sport and couldn’t put all my marbles in one area, I wanted to say one simple thing , The Cuban with that great reach and power he can develop to be devastating , I would have him WORK HIS BUTT OFF , To get a power jab like no other he could double up with to the solarplex and midsection and jaw with a straight right hand that turns and is fundamentally perfect that the jab blinds the opponent to he doesn’t see it , Potent formula and doable with hard work, The jab with that picture perfect right not seen as it’s right behind it with a left hook to clean up with if needed , Easier said than done , But what a specimen to work with and it can and should be done ! Some trainers are living on naturally talented fighters that tell them the obvious and are yes men, Few get the results and get their vision to come to fruition .
The rules said 'no standing 8 count', referee gives both fighters a standing 8 count in the first round and nobody even noticed. Like, what the actual fuck.
Tszyu Hurtado 1- 8 10 2- 10 9 3- 10 9 4- 10 9 5- KO I disagree with their scoring. The two knockdown in round 1 essentially cancel each other out. So u less Tszyu dominated (he obviously didn’t) that should have been 10-8 Hurtado with the extra knockdown. I thought Tszyu squeaked by in rounds 2-3 landing more powerful shots and being the aggressor but they were close. Round 4 marked the beginning of the fight becoming easy to score and the end of Hurtado.
