A beautiful instrumental theme that stays in your head. Love it, remember seeing this movie many years back, as always Anthony Quinn, always an imposing character in his movies, also had one of his sons as his right hand man acting with him.
Beautiful, divine melody. Filmed in Iran in 1977. Anthony Quinn was staying at Hotel Shah Abbas - the oldest hotel in the Middle East - in Isfahan, Iran while filming. I remember as a kid.(The Hotel is still majestic with beautiful courtyards etc.)
This is the most exquisite movie score I have ever heard and I found the movie incredibly moving. I saw it when it was released and wish so much that it would be rereleased. My family has the LP on vinyl; a true treasure. The Caravans song with Barbara Dickson touches my heart every time. Mike Batt is genius!!

Whatever has happened to such Orchestral Styles,. Todays noise, often passed as music is almost entirely 'unlistenable', with shrieking, off key 'vocalists' competing voice against overly loud background usually of two or three chords, sounding something like a cross between a steam train or a blacksmiths workshop.Perhaps people of today are completely lacking in style and have major hearing problems after being exposed to the stuff passed off as music. Just for the record, I am a musician and play anything from Latin to Rock and also Jazz New Orleans Style.Thank you for the London Symphony Orchestra and its amazing version of the excellent Mike Batts Epic recording.

Greed and distractions fail to produce great Art. One sign of a failing culture is when its Arts fail. Thought to have shared. This melody is divine! Mike Batt certainly hit on the right formula, this requires a musical ear and a reflection of great consideration in the blending of Eastern/Western style thematics.

For me everything is new both music and movie and the way you made the video, the combination of images of the orchestra and the sequences from the movie all the effects that you used are fantastic. The music starts slowly and becomes more powerful and really enchain you. The arabic influences are making it absolutely wonderful. The more you listen, the more you love it. Spectacular creation
