Just picked this up at Marshalls for $25. Its perfect for gym to work to night for anyone. Clean showergel fresh take on sauvauge. Smells like a $100 designer frag. Its better imo than summer versions of Y or blue frags like dylan blue cause not as sweet. Its really easy to wear. Love it.
The vetiver is probably a special one that smells great and it is like an amber wood. The sandalwood is to smooth out the citrus and repair the issues with it's inspiration.
just got 100ml for $40AUD at chemist warehouse. I really like it. I have smelt sauvage before and it was very chemical ish for me. but whilst this reminds me of sauvage, I really like its smoothness and also detect a very subtle blue de chanel hint (barely noticeable could be imagining things there) and I get a smokey woodyness that sort of reminds me of oud. everyone is wearing facemasks at time of post, so im gonna have to up the dosage to reach them!! lol
I didnt realise to check Chem Warehouse Price line have it for $55 i tried it and i like it, it will be the cheapest in my collection but will get used regardless of the weather, i don't pick up Sauvage at all Sauvage is the beast it was made for Australia. Cool Chem Warehouse here i go on Tuesday. Thanks bro
I like this more than Sauvage, not as aggressive or in your face. But my favorite from the line will always be the sadly discontinued Cool Water Deep, which is an awesome timeless scent. It was done by Nathalie Lorson back then and just smells way more classy and distinctive than the original.
ATH reviews have taught me to see “notes” not exactly for what they are, but rather the effect it’s showing by way of the chemicals used. So while the notes are listed as such, the chemicals used were most definitely chosen to impart that Sauvage DNA. If I had to guess, this is heavily built with Iso E Super and Ambroxan(as part of that Amber note) at the base.
1. Sauvage EDT 100ml = $100 2. Carbon 100ml = $60 on discounters 3. CW Parfum 100ml = $80 retail (sub $40 in the near future on discounters) Purchase what's in your price range.
I need Davidoff to stop putting out new scents with the name "Cool Water" attached until they manage to create a longer lasting version of the original.
Doesn't it have sweet melon which gives it that tropical vibe which makes it kinda smell similar to some tropical sun screen (e.g Hawaiin Tropic) its great whatsoever. Kinda the Cool Water of Hawaii or the carabbean, florida and so on.
Just went to marshalls and picked this up. They only had two bottles so I had to get them both. I agree with what you said about it being in its own league like the O.G cool water. Totally worth the 50$ for two 👏🏾
A great review Ash! Never was a fan of Wave, Intense and some of the other flankers myself, but I can see why this one might become popular with the average dude. Might take a while before it gets discounted heavily though. These days, some fragrances certainly take longer than others.

Yippee! Another of the bazillion slightly fuzzy, slightly sweet ambroxan fragrances with a dash of citrus and pepper. Just get Armafs Hunter Intense and ignore the rest. Why keep spending money on the same fragrance in a different bottle?
My wife bought me the original cool water EDT.. after having not worn it it 20 years....and i loved it again....so.. I'm still interested in the parfum....since it smells so different
Just grabbed this at Marshalls for $25... Not too impressed by the first wearing. Definitely get the sauvage comp but there's something harsh/cheap going on. Probably the "amber wood" that I don't like and I detect no sandalwood. It's not the worst thing I've smelled but probably won't be wearing it much. Edit: I like it now.
I’m so confused as to why less notes matter. It’s not like wine comes with many or any. I’d rather them come with a few and then hear what people in the fragrance community thinks. It keeps people honest at least instead of people pretending they smell something when really they just memorized the note breakdown.
Wating for Reborn to release so hopefully this will become cheaper (I'm hoping reborn will be like actual Cool Water though, i got intense & its similar to Eros/Blueu).

So im getting mine tomorrow, it will be the cheapest in my collection but will get some use, even though we are coming into the cooler part of the year. Bonus.

Hey ash! So between Luna Rossa carbon and cool water parfum, which of these cheaper Dior sauvage alternatives would you recommend?
