Great Video! Do you think it's possible fitting a WPL body on top? Than you would get the best of both worlds. Cool looking hard body with nice performance!
I have a sneaking suspicion that HPI outsourced to Hobbyplus, Flysky and Furitek for many parts on this truck which is totally fine because this truck is awesome. The esc that came in the Hobbyplus Arktos 6x6 also had the ability to turn the indicators off and that esc is made by Flysky.
Finally someone made it right 👍 just some minor upgrades to be done , bearings, steering link and maybe tires Only fms comes close to that and every one else is miles behind The electronics on the brushless are furitek In my opinion hpi has one of the best crawlers that no one gives a crap about, the venture is still one of the best chassis i own and i use 4 brands
HPI fan boy here. Totally getting one. Back to the Future is one of my favorite movies of all time. The whole turn signal thing, genius. The wheels just set it off too. Just want to tell you watching your videos is part of my morning regiment. Very entertaining indeed.
Fantastic video edit at the end, 2160p 60fps on a 65" oled really showed off your work , almost 3d water droplets and underwater muddy swirls..... very nice sir 👌
Just noticed the brushless has to controlers and is 199.00 sweet. spec's look great, metal servo and outrunner and all. Please show it Uk sending love from the states.
I would have to think BACK TO how I know that truck... I'll let you know in THE FUTURE when I figure it out. But I gotta go, I just found out it's 8:25 and I'm late for school!
What an incredible release from HPI! 👏👏👏 Good value/money, specs, electronics, good looking body... If i was on the market for a mini crawler, I'd really consider this. 👌 Nice video Phil! 💪
Well done again. I like those crawlers I don’t climb rocks but love the scale look especially this particular one. back to the future truck color and all. That thing is very impressive I must admit. Well done 👍🏼.
The brushless one has a Furitech outrunner along with the program module Matt at SBG got the brushless, Chris at Hemistorm got the brushed also along with the red body which I prefer, and as you said lights, ESC and receiver are all seperate odules I am not into the small scale, but must congratulate HPI on a well spec'd and very good body just wheels/tyres not quite to scale and big THUMBS up you can switch off the turn indicators yes well done.
Yeah, I’m waiting on the black brushless. I figured the end of January. I could probably start looking for it. It was pre-order man. It looks so good out there. Stoked about getting mine specially brushless.👍👍
Excellent video mate 👍🏼👍🏼 Good to see the brushed one running. Matt's previewed the brushless one (SBG) and it does perform really well. Good low speed too. I'm tempted to buy the red one with the side decals because I think it looks more "Toyota-ish". I also think it's worth the extra 50 for the brushless out runner motor, and higher Kg metal geared servos too. But the best thing about both the brushed and brushless versions is you can turn the bloody indicators off! HOORAH! 😁👍🏼👍🏼
Marty mcflys from back to the future! Great Scott ! ( Don't know if it's water proof only one way to find out ) 😂😂😂 🎄Love it thanks phil for the vid mint truck nice !
Great review. We need a comparison video. I see a rebranded Hobby Plus with straight axles, which is not a bad thing. I prefer straight axles over training wheels...
First time I seen your silver Tacoma!!! It’s beautiful 😍😍😍Wish they sold that in the US. Don’t know if you did a video on that yet. But wish you would. Hope you kept both!!👍👍💪💪💪
Waterproof approved by mr tomley im getting one now the brushed for idt the other one is gonna be waterproof especially with outrunner motor but this one is a definite buy indeed 🤟
Brushed: alnk.to/h6GQ4gQ
Brushless: alnk.to/6bVRfHw
UK Release early January
Would you run an out runner motor in water? Is the brushless as capable?
Think Mcfly…Think !!!!! Everyone loves the Delorean….but Marty’s dream Toy was the one us mortals could have…..that is definitely one awesome crawler
RCDriver_Online posted his review on the Brushless earlier.
Great Video! Do you think it's possible fitting a WPL body on top? Than you would get the best of both worlds. Cool looking hard body with nice performance!
Wenn ich die Folie sehe, kenne ich den Hersteller 😅😅😅😅
Definitely Martys dream truck.
Mine too!
No. Marty wanted the extended cab.
I still drool over that truck.
yep thats what I was thinking of lol
Back to the future
I thought it was a joke when he said he couldn't remember what it was from. I kept waiting for the punchline!
Yes, totally that vibe.
Dammit man, 1st thing I thought.
Same that's what thought
Arrma and traxxas fanboys can make like a tree and get outta here!
Man your video editing and subject capture is 10/10 - well done, great content with lots of enthusiasm
Did I just watch back to back reviews of the same RC truck?
Yes, yes I did.
Totally worth it at 2:27am, lol.
The black version totally reminds me of marty's pickup from back to the future.
I believe you're thinking of Martin McFlea and Dr. Scott Brown Movie. "The Car needs roads!" - Dr. Scott Brown.
Great Scott ! I love it.
Too funny. 😂
Damn, HPI did their homework
1:44 marty's truck in back to the future.
Except not an extended cab.
That is some amazing footage! Loved the slow mo's.
The Brushed is water resistant, which is a good job :) The brushless isn't.

Great video. Looks like a solid offering from HPI. Cool to see. The slow mo water shots were a nice touch.
What a great truck along with a great video with one of the best creators in my opinion!🎉
This is an impressive small crawler. Great video. I always like the slow motion shots with the water cascading over the hood.
You are spoiling us with the camera work and editing Phil! 🤓
Ya, it's up there. Hilux dreams will look for the brushless one for sure. Props, great one to introduce to us!
It looks so epic in the water shots
I absolutely love your videos, the editing, close-ups, and the overall way you present these models :)
11:42 just missing a snorkel
This thing looks much better than I expected. And that transmitter is a REALLY nice choice by HPI.
Nice a black hilux! 🖤🖤🖤😍 All it need is Marty McFly on the driver seat! 😎🔥
The optional turn signals started on the HobbyPlus CR18P Arktos 6x6. It's really nice to see them on here as well.
When you submerged it, I could see Jeremy Clarkson sitting in it with a big smile 😁! Very nice little ride. Always been a HPI fan.
That's awesome, I'm glad it has the met-o gearbox.
Fantastic video edit at the end, 2160p 60fps on a 65" oled really showed off your work , almost 3d water droplets and underwater muddy swirls..... very nice sir 👌
Tomley and morning cofee! What's not to like!? Great slowmotion footage 👌
Nice job Phil. Have a great Christmas new year to you and yours. John
Very happy for you regarding the signals😅
Seems very nice little rig!
One of your best videos to date I think, loved the end sequence.
i like: color, yota, windows, wheels, tube bumpers matching steering rod, lights, brushless, foc, proportions, shocks, no clips, 6 ch radio, premium touch
U think you nailed the editing on this one👌 the music, the close ups, too bad it misses the interior. That would be even better in terms of footage 😄
End scene is fantastic with the ambient music soundtrack.
12:10 Can't wait to see it Upgraded
Great review Phil. HPI have knocked it out of the park on this mini crawler.
What a little beast! Black looks awesome.
Camera work in those final scenes is amazing!
Just noticed the brushless has to controlers and is 199.00 sweet. spec's look great, metal servo and outrunner and all. Please show it Uk sending love from the states.
Great Scotts Marty
Excellent footage, editing and commentary, top class. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Great review too..👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Did you get a new camera? This video looks crazy crisp and clear and really nice!
I would have to think BACK TO how I know that truck... I'll let you know in THE FUTURE when I figure it out. But I gotta go, I just found out it's 8:25 and I'm late for school!

Nice video Phil! 💪
Well done again. I like those crawlers I don’t climb rocks but love the scale look especially this particular one. back to the future truck color and all. That thing is very impressive I must admit. Well done 👍🏼.
Also, the brushless one has a Furitek system in it so should be quite the rig!
Nice edit on the water shots 👌

I think you do the best videography (is that the correct word?)... great job!
The location and camera work on this is awesome!
This is one of the best looking RCs I've ever seen 🙏🏻
Yeah, I’m waiting on the black brushless. I figured the end of January. I could probably start looking for it. It was pre-order man. It looks so good out there. Stoked about getting mine specially brushless.👍👍
Those were some really great slo mo shots at the end!

Love the truck. Love the video. Love the price for what you get. I just wish it was a king cab as it would be a dang near perfect Marty truck replica!
Marty mcflys from back to the future! Great Scott ! ( Don't know if it's water proof only one way to find out ) 😂😂😂 🎄Love it thanks phil for the vid mint truck nice !
Marty and Jennifer would be stoked to take that truck down to the lake! :)
Great review. We need a comparison video. I see a rebranded Hobby Plus with straight axles, which is not a bad thing. I prefer straight axles over training wheels...
I didn't expect it to be this good to be honest... Well done Hpi!!
What a brilliant little rig, i can see these being a great base for the small scale comp crawler scene here in the UK
Another EPIC video with awesome cinematic FOOTage🎉
First time I seen your silver Tacoma!!! It’s beautiful 😍😍😍Wish they sold that in the US. Don’t know if you did a video on that yet. But wish you would. Hope you kept both!!👍👍💪💪💪
Love the water at the end cant believe hpi put put waterproof, all metal gears, and looks great!!
I think one of these will be great for my granddaughter. Looks to be a pretty capable little truck.
I have loved Toyota tucks of the 80's ever since I saw Back To The Future. You have good taste.
Looks great .lets hope the jump to Euro doesn't put the price up too much .love the Epic slow motion 🤗thanks for sharing....Harry
The hobbyplus 6x6 arktos allows turning off turn signals too
The Power of Love
CRP18 6X6 would look good with this on the tray
Martys truck out of back to the future 😂
I also love it straight. Axle.👍👍
The Hobby Plus Arktos 6x6 also gives you the option to not use the turn signals by cycling through the light modes.
Another great review... love the videography 💪🏻😋
That was a beautiful slow mo shot at the end.
This is the way we wash our trucks wash our trucks😁😁👍👍
I have a HPI Venture SBK chassis on one of my 1/10 hardbody trucks and it is a fantastic bit of kit so im not surprised how well it performed
How good are those camera shots through the water tho!
This thing looks awesome! I much prefer this kind of thing to the "Truggy" style
Awww mannn!! Marty's truck!!
HPI engineer: "we finally made him happy!"👏👏👏
you need some scenes of Marty driving and Biff polishing!
Merry Christmas to you and your Family Sir .
Big fan of it. And the brushless is Furitek run so it's definitely good
The brushless version comes with a furitek venom motor and lizard lite esc
woah, that's heavy. Nice truck!
If in doubt.....throttle out!
New hoodie and t shirt design possibly 😂
Great video Fella!! ✌️
Thats awsome! Great truck.
Nice truck and the filming 👍
What website do you buy your rc cars from?
i was hoping for the water shots in slow motion. and you delivered!
Great little truck
That Toyota is 40 years old, and looks like that! WOWza!
I think this truck from classic T,V series that was in 1985 if i'm not mistaken🤔
Are you think of the Fall Guy truck? That was a GMC.
the slow mo shots are epic...
Waterproof approved by mr tomley im getting one now the brushed for idt the other one is gonna be waterproof especially with outrunner motor but this one is a definite buy indeed 🤟
Make a video on brushless mk07 please
10:40 Toyota hilux are "Immortal" 😎
Dang, I think I'm going to have to get one. Loving that Toyota Hilux body!
