      There is a minimum level of education and discipline required to do industrial manufacturing - roughly middle school completion. India has never made a serious effort to educate the entire population, just the elites. India discards roughly 80% of their human potential with poverty, poor sanitation, and low education. Nor has India made a serious effort on the infrastructure required for industrial manufacturing. Without such preconditions being met, India will always stuck doing subsistence farming.

The report highlights that the five countries with the highest installation rates of industrial robots are South Korea, Singapore, China, Japan, and Germany. While China installs the largest number of industrial robots globally, accounting for 55% of the world's total, it also achieves remarkable growth annually. Right now, China has roughly 1 billion urban workers driving the country and 400 million rural workers generating relatively little. China can probably shed 350 million rural workers and still maintain farm productivity via automation, and maybe 100 million urban workers while still sustaining the education pipeline to produce high quality scientists, engineers, technicians, etc. As China's population closes in on 1 billion total, there may be more pressure to maintain the pace.

    I have been opining on this topic for a decade or so. Once AI and automation take over, many jobs will be redundant. Poorer countries with natural resources can still sustain their respective economies. Richer countries with tech advantages will adopt Universal Basic Income for those displaced by AI and automation. Immigration policies will be very strict by then. India has neither the natural resources nor the tech, with the pressure of creating 25 million new jobs a year for coming of age job seekers, it will suffer the most. I think in 10 year or so, India will break apart into the natural ethnic divide it had before the British consolidated the sub-continent. Northeast India may even join China because by itself it can't survive the AI and automation revolution.

      The fragmentation of India will be in 3 scenarios --
      1) Induced an external Threat, for example, the China-India Border conflict rallied Indian-Nationalist sentiment behind a declining Modi-led govt, which led to the 4th Sino-India war -- hoping for a war economy to boost Modi Govt popularity and longevity.
      2) If India loses the war, either in attrition or total war, the Chinese will re-claimed all lost lands that the British-Raj stole from China, plus invite the remaining Northeast Indian Mongoloid-Brother states to join the Sino-Collective, for better economic and human developments -- away from Old Delhi falling kingdom of decay and rot.
      3) South India will break away from the Central Govt in North India, and become a prosperous Independent state where its annual tax revenues will be kept in the South, instead of being siphoned off to the corrupt of the North Central Govt.
      The remaining North Indian state of Old Capital State will become another "'poor African country" and disappear on the world stage of news and headlines.

    I suggest you watch the documentary about Deng Xiaoping's visit to Japan and the United States in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Deng Xiaoping's desire for modernization and thirst for knowledge are still vivid in my mind. Looking back at your Modi, he is arrogant wherever he goes, and he dresses like a cult leader. His desire for others to praise him as the leader of a superpower is greater than his desire to modernize India. Recalling my past experience, as a member of the mobile phone supply chain, I visited India several times in the first half of the 2010s. At that time, we had an optimistic estimate that with the arrival of Nokia and Foxconn, Indians would also establish their own local supply chain like the Chinese, and then build large terminal companies like Xiaomi based on the huge population and market. But unfortunately, more than ten years have passed, and none of this has happened. Really, nothing happened even after the United States imposed sanctions on China in the key semiconductor field. It has to be said that the opportunities for modernization and industrialization have slipped away from India again and again.

      Agree. It has one of the largest arable land in the world. Huge coast lines with easy access to fishing grounds. But it is too late. Unfortunately, China is very technologically advance in agriculture, poultry and fishery. China and US are at least 50 years ahead in agritech compared to the rest the world. Chinese proprietary salt water rice cultivation will take off in less than a decade. India is decades behind in the poultry business. China and the US are the largest poultry producers and with AI and automation, both may monopolize this industry. Fishing grounds are overfished. Fishing farms will be automated.
      India can develop its own agriculture, fishery & poultry industries in its own way to feed the increasingly food deprived population.

There's a youtube video about senior Chinese programmers who have been laid off due to AI/automation and are now driving cabs. Won't there be social unrest in China too? Will China then introduce universal basic income as a solution? In India, there already are worker protests due to layoffs because of automation.

    • @blcheah2672
      @blcheah2672 12 часов назад +5

      China doesn't have universal basic income. That is a giveaway, which is unacceptable in communist societies because as the saying goes: those who do not work do not eat.
      A communist/ socialist country values the labor of its workers.
      But China does have policies to aid consumption. So they do their very best to make everything affordable, and subsidize, consumer goods. Even low income workers can easily afford handphone, internet and electricity services, and electric vehicles.
      Chinese workers do fear layoffs, but they don't fear unaffordability.

    • @ZweiZwolf
      @ZweiZwolf 6 часов назад +1

    India needs help from China but problem is, China wants a very major part of India. China has issues with all its neighbors including India.
    India as usual has bad luck that such a powerful neighbor prefers and helps Pakistan over India and fights diplomatically, strategically and at times militarily (1962, 1967, Galwan) with India. China won't cooperate and help India and South East Asia to advance like Europe. China itself does not need others except may be as sales market but these other nations including India needs China to progress but India's bad luck never leaves it. After Israel, India has most volatile border in world. In reality India may not last against China for a month in intense war but yes it can drastically impact China while almost finishing itself in process.
    Slowly China is taking away land from Bhutan, India but nobody can do anything except giving spokesperson statements.
    Chinese are exceptionally hardworking and shrewd and Indian's brag and talk. Even across IT in US and west, South Indians are surviving due to cheating, fake education, fake claims, bribing, and favoritism etc. Bus conductors of Hyderabad, Telangana, Tamil Nadu (south Indian) states are now directors in US companies. Imagine how they are ripping out America's tech sector.

    A. Workforce/labour - currently china is prosperous due higher number of people are employed but if in future as you stated if manpower replaced by robots than there will be higher level of unemployment and sudden job loss result in downfall of economy as lot of people take financial loans and other commitments which cannot be fullfill result in sudden negative impact on your country
    B. Clients - Trade war between US and EU will result in China for harder time to ship parts ,higher tariff will only result in harder time for china , currently china is facing the heat but in future will face backlash ,
    C. FREE TRADE ROUTE /AGREEMENTS - USA and EU already considered china as rival so they will only make harder for china to ship there product from small to EV'S china will face lot of challenges in near future which will impact overall country
    D. TRUST /IP- May be we Indian are not good engineers but never copy or thief other technology but your country CHINA is famous for IP infringement may be it's F35 FILE LEAKS AND HIGHLY INNOVATED LAND WIND AND CURRENTLY MICROSOFT BLAMING CHINA FOR OPEN AI MODEL THEFT it will result in more isolation for china in near future may be your Deep seek get banned in all of USA and EU due IP infringement which lead to isolation of over all efforts and in future you need more APU'S AND GPU'S which currently not manufactured by you which result in more deepseek model over load
    2. IMPACT ON INDIA AND BY INDIA - You are correct that we Indian lack a lot by this lack of manufacturing infrastructure also make us immune to lot of things , currently CHINA earns 100billion yearly a trade surplus but think if india fall which is obvious than we stop buying products due to sudden loss of income and which result in over all less exports from china this will hit india directly but china indirectly as you earning from India will fall .
    Future ahead FOR CHINA
    ALL over the world especially the west - USA + EU COUNTRIES COMBINED will see CHINA as adversely and a threat and this not good for china as world factory
    PARALLEL ALTERNATIVE - In future you will see lot of countries will become alternative to china maybe not india but other countries in eastern Europe,asia pacific and some in INDIA also .
    CHINA closed roads for other companies - with the rise of china indigenous product development ,china is not preferable locations n for foreign companies to invest further see latest VW closed lots of factories in China and expanding in india because VW lacks a lot in China and no body buying anymore so they will invest some where else like india or other countries .
    TRUST - After Deep seek western countries lossing trust in chinese people + government+ companies because they always back stab by ip infringement and this will make china more ISOLATED
    For INDIA- yes we'll lack in some technical aspects, but we never break trust of our clients and this one thing will help us again maybe there is downside currently but we learn and rise again but once trust is gone it's gone and belive me AI is not that invention now down the line in 5 years we also achieve this capabilities indigenous or by help of Western counter parts as they always trust and support us ,and this not end of road ,just starting because still in future human resources FROM INDIA will rule the world GERMANY , ITALY OPEN VISA FOR INDIANS so we can go to EU now and still USA need Us and in future the demand will only grow as lot of Chinese individual will be deported on the basis of Trust and IP infringement
    you can still counter me and put your comments
