70 yrs old and have listened to all types of rock music since at least past 5 decades everything from Aerosmith to ZZ Top . This song by The Charlatans is one of the best Live songs I heard . It is relentless and propels with unmatched energy and swagger
I used to see Tim here and there in LA. We must have lived in the same neighborhood, coz I mostly saw him at the market and pharmacy. Poor lad was like me and that crap LA air makes you sick on the regular. He was a gracious and approachable guy every time we chatted. Sadly, I’ve never got to see the Charlies live…and I’ve been a fan since their first single (Indian Rope). Man, I hope to someday.
I discovered because of the Reading festival 1982....I asked my wife to Record the bands by tv..I was about Rollins Band, Nirvana.......Them I became a huge fan of the Charlatans.
Have seen them several times and I was always totally drained by the end........and then they milk one last bit of euphoria from you. Best ending to any gig I have been to ever.
Last time i saw them live was in the barrowland's in Glasgow 11 March 2015 Had a great night Took some cracking pictures Hang them on my living room wall's
Saw them in Atlanta....maybe I shouldn't have. Was with 4 young Brits. Called Sproston Geeen to be the opener. The brit 4 called other songs. And, then the distant keyboard began their magic...price£ess!!!
@@Vimptocandle I've seen them 10 times as well. They were never terrible live, but I know there's been moments. I've also seen some amazing gigs by them, where everything is on point. Latest was Edinburgh last week which was fantastic.
@@pedromacd ok terrible was a bit of hyperbole, rough and rough as fuck at times, but despite that they bring a magic (for me anyway) that makes them some of the best gigs I’ve ever been to, and one that was the best! Music almost secondary to the shear energy of the crowd, something happens when those lights go green.
por alguna razón a principio de los 90s llego a mi ciudad (La Rioja-Argentina) la movida de Manchester. Lo extraño es que no había internet ni nada parecido y estábamos en la periferia del mundo. Esta era mi banda preferida! impecable
a real band that do real work! Gr8 tune being performed live 2 perfection. You won't catch these guys miming. The "up and coming" new bands/singers, etc should watch vids like this! 🎼🎵
My oh my! God bless Jon..I used to air drum to his drums before I could physically play em whilst high on whatever I could get my hands on..between 10th and 11th album was prob my most drug fuelled brooks drumming influencial time, grt times..then I got my arse in gear and started playing drums and to this day Jon remains 1 of the styles to my overall playing..took my daughter (her first gig )to see the Charlie’s benefit gig at Albert hall and we threw a rose on stage 🌹 when ‘oh vanity’ kicked in..rip Jon x
Big three for me .Roses . Charlatans and Mondays . Shed7 amongst countless others at the time of their pomp . Oasis et all to cometh but thats another chapter 👌
