XRT
Great comparison video i have an XMAXX so far but itching for an XRT!!
Thank you for the support! Get that XRT!
I chose the XRT but haven't drove it yet as I sold the stock electronics while new still. Waiting for stuff to come in. I think I'd like to get a 8s Outcast instead of the xmaxx for a stunt truck
get both is the point ! nice vid dude!
Glad you picked up on the true message haha
So, I have a quick question. What's your recommendation between the standard XRT and the XRT Ultimate? Have you done any aluminum upgrades to your XRT? If so, what have you upgraded since this video? Thank you in advance for your time and reply.
One thing to consider is that all the aluminum on the ultimate is 6061 which bends quite a bit easier than a 7075 aftermarket upgrade you can u would get on your own. In some areas that may not matter much like the wheel hexes. But structural parts 7075 is far better. Plus the ultimate has a bunch of stuff done to it that increases cost but not value (like a better crappy servo).
@ Interesting…. haven’t heard anyone bring the aluminum type up as a potential negative. 🤔😨🧐 Thanks!
I’ve had the xmaxx for years and loved it super durable. I bought the xrt about a week ago and the motor is already burned up. It broke the spur and pinion twice calling Traxxas today hopefully they take care of me
Xmaxx looks funnest but the size is a bit too much for me so I got the maxx. Nice truck.
Both great trucks. I have a video of xmaxx vs maxx v2. Honestly the Maxx is an absolute tank, and is damn near indestructible
Nice run, both great RCs, also agree the Maxx is still a beast and I love them all, lol
Love all three of them. Each have their own strengths.
I have a maxx v2 and XRT. Realized when I bought the mini maxx I should have bought the xmaxx from the get go lol. Will probably buy one later this year or in the spring since I wont be wanting to drive the outdoor RC cars during winter. I hate cold weather lol
The Maxx v2 is an amazing truck as well, bulletproof. Get as many as you can lol. It’s the opposite here. Crazy hot in summer and winter not that bad
I love my special edition XRT but I did drive my boys XMAXX n it was pretty fun so gonna one too n have best of both worlds.
Ya I got lucky with the black edition. Best of both worlds is obviously the best if you can.
Another question. Have you had any experience with the Sledge? Thoughts??? Thank you again.
Sledge is a great vehicle if you upgrade the servo.
@ Doesn’t the new Sledge come with the upgraded servo already?
@@flhandster4395 Doubtful. I bought mine a year or so ago and it didn't then. It runs fine without the upgrade but eventually you will probably want to upgrade it. That's the way I guess with a lot of RCs. It's not like it won't run with the stock servo. It just responds so much faster with an upgrade.
@ Mine has the 2275 servo. Looking forward to the great adventure. Thanks for your replies. 😎🙏🏼
@@flhandster4395 I'm pretty sure that is the cheap servo. If you get a chance or the money later on upgrade it to a top of the line traxxas servo. It's worth it. It turns the car into to something brand new.
The xmaxx should better deal with mountain bike trails, road side ditches, and farm fields around us. But I like the buggy look (handling?) of the wider XRT. Tough decision.
If you have the means. I say both!
@@sarversrc Getting both would dip too much into my drinking and strippers fund.
🤣🤣
Got the XMAXX and just got the UDR. Way different driving.
Completely different. One is scale realism and finesse, the other is a basher. Both a lot of fun tho!
Love both rigs if you have one you need the other
Need them all in my opinion!
Just left message on your other video. Just in case you don’t get to it. I need to make my decision by tomorrow because I don’t want to miss out on the ultimate.
This is my First RC.
I do like to go big.
No budget but I also don’t care for flashy upgrades that don’t enhance performance.
I’m most def leaning towards the XRT. I’m a speed demon. I daily a keep Trackhawk, own a raptor and 5.0z so I like to go fast. Seems like the xrt is best for me based off your review, which was amazing!!
Check out the newly released xrt and max x ultimate. They go for $1500. Are those upgrades worth it? Also, is it better if I just get the non ultimate edition? I called Traxxas and they told me becuase the upgraded parts are aluminum, they won’t flex as much so it would be more prone to breakage. I thought the point of the upgrades was to make it stronger.
Please help! regular xrt price is $999 and the ultimate is $1,49. I don’t mind paying $500 extra is it’s worth it.
Application: parks, fields like the one in your video, jumps but not crazy. I care more about handling and speed than just big jumps.
Personal opinion, try to get a used one cheap and build it the way you want. The ultimate is definitely cool looking, but it’s somewhat true, it will be stronger, but when it breaks it will break for sure. Not flex and probably be good like plastic. Think the only aluminum I added compared to the ultimate was toe links. On top of that diff covers and the GPM bash bar. But even before that it was pretty indestructible. I have one built and one stock.
Get the standard Xrt , I send mine day in and day out and not broken a thing yet , I have some big BMX ramps in my backyard so I’m not taking it easy on it
@@benmacrae4784 you are 7 months too late. I got the ultimate. That thing is always breaking. Lol.
I have a reeper and xmaxx. They are both fun
Nice! I enjoy both these trucks
