Perfect example of you can run but you can't hide. Imagine your Father (a legend) telling the man who just slept you hey that's some shit I would've done 😂
Great win for charlo. Jackson was a better natural boxer but charlo stayed patient & executed that overhand right he'd been setting up all night! Great fight!
Man I'm so glad it was Charlo that prevailed and not Jackson. I mean could you just imagine if we had gotten Jackson vs Castano. Castano would''ve blasted his glass chin within 2 or 3 rounds easy....and so would all the other 154 lb champions.
Nah he was never gonna win Jermell was eating everything and returning power shots everytime. 5 of of Jackson's punches equalled the damage of 1 of Jermell's.
If anything Jermell should take notes on John Jackson’s father because Julian had better balance, accuracy, and didn’t overthrow his shots like Jermell.
valuable opinion: in this fight jackson had an advantage that he failed to capitalize on. he was the harder hitting boxer and taller. however he had very little movement and leg work. he is slower than charlo, his style is robust, he is not as agile as charlo. he was not the attacking player. from the beginning of the fight he decides to play defensive and hoping to catch charlo with counterpunches, which he did pretty well. the commentators at one point even said that charlo has not caught jackson yet. jackson often boxed with his hands down, leaving his head unguarded. that is why by round 8 he got caught, he was hurting badly and moved to the side as if to pass it off, but charlo seized the opportunity to finish him, landing a clear heavy blow to jackson's head, again due to jackson's weak defense skills. jackson needs to improve in those areas as he is just a moving target. replay shows this. we did not see a shining charlo, at one point charlo even looked overpowered by the stronger hitting jackson. you can tell a boxer is hitting hard not just from the effects of his punches on his opponent but the way that he positions his body and legs, leaning a bit back as if to prepare the heavy punch. all was fine till the 8th round when jackson finally got caught. will a rematch be needed or demanded by boxing fans? i don't think so. jackson had a huge crowd with him, it looked like jackson was the favorite hence. charlo has once more made a name to himself, now adding another tough fighter to his winning record. this fight did showed that charlo has a few weaknesses which he needs to improve. he is constantly attacking and doing so renders him vulnerable to counter punches. he also lacks combination punches, you did not see charlo throwing and landing many combinations. he seemed a bit too respectful of jackson in this match, perhaps recognizing his opponent's 15 knockouts record. charlo has excellent defense and body and leg mobility. he should not yet fight top prize fighters in his class or others outside. instead he should train more, gain more experience, don't overwork yourself, be more selective in the fighters against whom you fight inside the ring. Jackson was a risky business. it could have easily gone the other way, with jackson beating charlo. but jackson was too slow, too careful or perhaps too respectful. again rewind the fight and observe how jackson never really makes a serious attempt to end charlo. always showcasing the slower careful yet skillful style of boxing that is typical of more mature players. that doesn't work well always against energetic fighters like charlo. jackson failed to take the match to the limit, he avoided meeting charlo in the middle of the ring and instead chose to fight close the ropes, dancing around in circles while trying to catch the attacking charlo. judges probably would have voted for charlo, had the fight gone the distance and reached the 12th round. judges like to see action, aggressive attacking fighters fare better in the minds of judges. they seem more active and fierce, unafraid to bring it on and to take matters serious, the more you hit, even if the punches merely touch your opponent's body, the better you look before the judges, and, of course, boxing fans love that. this fight saw very little body to body punching. no one was really seriously tired or weak from body punches, except that jackson was a bit weak from all the energy he used up in running around in circles. that kind of activity gets to you eventually and your body just gives up. he got a bit careless in the 8th round and one punch from charlo was enough to end the fight. ok that's all folks! thanks
The Charlo bros, in which I am a huge fan, has GOT to get some defense!!!! They are extremely weak on defense, and I’m scared the lack of it will end their careers!!!!
They rely too much on knockouts !! They can definitely be outboxed just like Harrison did !! Harrison was winning the second fight too until he got caught !!!
My hand on the bible I seen it on RUclips he knew his father wasn't a great puncher and still said he would knock his old man out also during the pre fight build up
John Jackson showed some good skills, loved when he switched to southpaw and landed left hand right hook combination, crazy how Easy Crawford makes it look
@@Jumpman90 “John Jackson was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in prison for sex crimes against three underage victims, and a judge praised the young women for bravely taking the stand to testify against the former Olympic boxer during his trial in April.” At trial on St. Thomas in April, the 12-member jury found Jackson guilty of all charges in the six-count indictment, including production of child pornography, first-degree rape of a person whose resistance was prevented “by stupor or weakness of mind” because of an intoxicating substance, aggravated second-degree rape of a person between the age of 13 and 15, and three counts of transportation of a minor for sexual activity. He do have power but knew he could've outbox charlo. He just never been pressure so hard all praise to charlo. You have to be build for 12rd he was good for 8rds only fighting that way.

Too bad John did not inherit his father's power. He might have been able to become something in this division.
He did inherit his glass chin
If anything Jermell should take notes on John Jackson’s father because Julian had better balance, accuracy, and didn’t overthrow his shots like Jermell.
@@chinchecker464 I wouldn't say he had a glass chin. He just pressed for KOs leaving himself vulnerable
@@jonmolina948 Julian was a whole different fighter man. Charlo just gotta maximize what he does best
Both Charlo brothers have nice jabs. I like the Furys’ jabs too.
jermell the true champ of the division. he went and collected all the belts from 4 different belt holders.

A great review on the fight
I didn't read all of it but u have some points. Words of advice less is more, shorten your writing to get more reviews.
Harder hitting? Dude were you watching with the sound off or something?
I am a proud Virginia islander from st thomas answering your analysis is spot on.
No Jackson did very well he just got caught with one and couldn't take it !!
It would have gotten really bad for him. Charlo started breaking him down as the fight went on
Right Right charlo knows how to set up his shots
Jackson was fighting the perfect fight. He just got caught. lol
Still remember this fight Jackson was coming off the knockout lost to Andy lee and then proceed to outbox Charlo until his glass chin cracked
Looked like an open glove thumb to the eye...Charlo did that against Harrison as well but didn't score a ko that way against him.
Did the same to Lee too. Won a bunch of rounds, then got put to sleep.
That's deep he only had four rounds left to win but that glass chin did him in.he passed out on the ropes
He went to sleep on his feet wow he got caught up!

Their lack of defense is compensated by their granite chins.
Good 👍 finish 👏 from Charlo
Fantastic!
Fair play to Jackson, he hold his own and was surviving, till he got hit with a clean charlo right hand, and he turned his back, he was out.
Chermel said he would knock his father out also
Dude went to sleep standing up so guess he faded away after this disaster but he was sticking in some shots though

Классный бокс .
He still hasn't fixed them lunging hooks. Canelo is going to counter him all night if he doesn't clean that up

Good. He’s a child predator. Wish jermell knocked the fool out the ring
Boxing must change some ruling. Running around boxers should only be allowed to move half the ring. Just so tiring to watch.
16:35 is serious lol
Ii watch this fight and if the fight like this, there no way to challenge Canilo, Bivol, Benavidez or even tripple G. They will be smoke like ham.
Wow i just now realized John is Julian Jacksons son.
So did Jackson fade away after that
questionable he got hit stunned and fell asleep on the ropes!
He was winning he had skills Jackson but his chin is very questionable chin he got stunned then fell asleep on the ropes for a minute
Just look him up on google. He will rot in prison, he raped a 15 year old girl. Just a real sick individual.
