Its a crime i cant find this song on spotify.
It's sad really. Music has never been so available, and yet often so out of reach. In order to listen to one of my favorite Future Islands songs, I have to resort to RUclips

Proceeded by multiple views, raving, and much dancing. Despite it being very late and having major jet lag! Will always be grateful to the Letterman show and to 4AD for this. I flew up to NC last month to see their 1000th show. Front row. Met Sam. Instant hardcore fan like never before for any musician. Very, very happy.

I agree, Danielle, It seems many agree, too! This song in particular, made me fall hard. I had heard it, without knowledge of its name or who made it. It took me two years to hear it again, randomly, and that was that.

I used to live in Paris, then moved to Switzerland but never heard about this band. Last year, I moved to Portugal with my Portuguese partner and one day, on TV, there was an add about concerts given by Future Islands. I was curious and I searched for their songs on RUclips... and here I am ! Since that, I keep listening to their amazing music ! Future Islands make me travel in the past rather than in the future, I'm 56 and am nostalgic when listening to such good tunes.

Such a song. So much sincerity in this music, in this incredible voice.
So emotional.
Its as big as life.
I saw Future Islands at Brooklyn Steel a couple years ago with a couple girls. We danced the entire concert. We danced on the street after the concert, still high from the performance. I have fond memories of that night.
My daughter just introduced me to this band today. It has been a long while since I have been moved to emotion by music. Thank you Future Islands.
I will always thank my boyfriend for doing the same thing.
You should also check out videos of their performances. Sam puts so much emotion into his live acts!!

discovered FI last night on jools Holland. 71 years old love my music this has taken me to a new level . Unbelievable wow wow wow.
Born in the 70s , teenager in the 80s, Future Islands reminds me of this time.
They have this knack you just heard them forever.
Future islands will always be one of my favorite bands! So unique!
ive fell in love with future islands I love the style of way he sings them so GOOD.
Met Sam after the gig at Manchester in Sept 2015......Amazing!!!Took my 67 year old dad along and he loved it and we can't wait for new tour dates!
I also went to the Manchester gig, amazing experience! Sadly I had to get the train though so I didn't get a chance to meet Sam :'(

Heard you guys on new years eve on jools holland for the first time. I was GLUED to the TV. Not often a band has that effect on me. Absolutely brilliant,including Sam's moving and grooving

Sam Herring of Future Islands is actually a rapper himself. Goes by Hemlock Ernst. Hemlock doesn't have any solo stuff out right now, but he's collaborated with Open Mike Eagle, Busdriver, Serengeti, and milo, all of who are amazing rappers. Oddisee's another favorite of mine. You should check them out!

Ever since seeing FI perform on Letterman, I have been slowly getting hooked! I very much dig these guys. I enjoy the sound reminiscent of early OMD with the Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order) bass hooks. What a band!

Their albums are great, but it's these hidden gems like One Day, Tomorrow, Cotton Flower, The Fountain and Ink Well that have made FI special to me personally. Simply poetic.
