Hakita said the glutonny layer wasn't inside King Minos, the entrance to the next layer just happened to be inside his giant body. (other than that the rest of the video seem accurate and make sense)
Yeah, I didn't talk about that to keep from going on a tangent about how the doors are basically portals. Thanks for doing that for me!
It's in the Terminal entry for Minos Prime that the Flesh Prison is within Minos' Corpse, and that from it, Minos could witness his own body godzilla-ing Lust.
Which one is it? Is P-1 stored in the bladder or in the Gluttony layer?
@@Mine0Taur yeah it's weird. it is never explicitly stated that the doors are portals in game but during a developer live stream Hakita said to think of the doors more as portals to different instances (im summarizing). To the best of my understanding the opening to the mouth of The Corpse of King Minos is a door(portal) to Gluttony and the door we find in 6-1 to Minos Prime is a door(portal) inside The Corpse of King Minos where his souls is imprisoned. The fact that Gluttony looks like the inside of some monster makes it seem like we go straight into Minos. I hope we get more lore regarding Gluttony in the future!
@@Mine0Taur So P-1 is within is body but not the glutonny layer ?
@@Mine0Taur well if the ends of levels are essentially portals, the P-1 entrance probably teleports V1 into wherever P-1 is stored inside of minos

Minos likely held regret over his actions, for ruling as a tyrant over Crete and the Athenian people. His actions spurred by anger and revenge, too hot-blooded to see reason and resist wielding law as a cudgel.
Then God leaves, and Minos sees a chance at redemption. To atone and make things right through fair and true justice. He creates a paradise in an otherwise Godless place, summoning the Archangel. Yet, Gabriel had more in common with the Minos of the past than the Minos of the present.
However Minos swore to never to be as wrathful as he once was. Not when empathy and pacifism could have prevented so much.
And his reward for becoming a reformed, compassionate king? To be struck down and realize his choices didn't matter. The fate of Minos was to fail, doom his kingdom, and have his existence erased.
damn that's dark.
I knew his story but never thought about it much and now when you put it that way it's far more tragic than i could imagine
Not very logical of him to attack V1 just after becoming a prime soul. He could've fought Gabriel and saved his people, but instead, he chose to punish V1 and got killed as a result. He was a wise man, but not wise enought to realize he couldn't take on the GoPro
@@Johannesburgus i mean, there's no guarantee V1 or the other machines would let him live
@@The_Natalist He could've done SO MUCH for humanity as a prime soul. He could've kicked the asses of all the angels and machines and brought a true era of peace for what's left of humanity, but he tried to take on the 1 guy he couldn't defeat immediately after being reborn. That was not logical thinking, it was a blind sense of justice and possibly some anger. He should've waited and been patient (that's logical thinking) to fight the toughest enemies last, these being Gabriel and V1, and taking his time to make plans and assembling an army for the war

i was thinking "what will happen when there could be a decision to spare Minos Prime and if it would have any effect on the Ultrakill lore?"Because looking at the lore,he just wanted to make his citizens live normally from the eternal torment and is basically a good guy being punished for nothing wrong
V1 probably would've canonically killed him anyway, he's just after blood after all.
considering his power as a prime soul and gabriel being much weaker than him even as the strongest being in heaven, minos could've probably destroyed him and the council with ease before reclaiming power over hell. in 6-2 gabriel states that lust layer has been wiped out, so he would probably try to free the sinners of the lower levels of their punishments, or at least give them just ones (not simply an endless torture). He would then still probably confront V1 wiping out everyone which would lead to his death.
Basically he would have shitstomped Gabriel and heaven. After that though, i'm not so sure, there doesn't seem to be anyone left alive in lust either
@@saltylemon4436 nah he let gab finish his monologue
I think that even if V1 spared Minos Prime; Minos would kill him. Minos Prime specifically stated that "the crimes thy kind have committed against humanity are not forgotten, and thy punishment is death." This means that even if V1 didn't want to fight him, Minos would fight anyways.
So basically King Minos tried doing something good in hell but the Angels said no and had Gabriel kill him. The angels hated Minos so much they imprisoned him in himself. V1 comes in and frees Minos, Minos fights V1 and dies again immediately after being freed. Tragic.
Yes.
But here's a more accurate TLDR:
King Minos thought lust does not equal sin
God left, distracting Heaven
Minos built a kingdom in Lust
Council was formed
Gabriel killed Minos
Minos's will made him a prime soul
Prime soul = stronger than angels
Angels imprison Minos
V1/Player free Minos
V1/Player kills Minos
If you think about it, he actually succeeded most of the time. In most timelines he killed V1, killed all the other machines, and helped his people. It's just that you don't get to see that.
I honestly did not want to fight Minos after i've seen and heard on what he did, but after all that pain on Violence, i believe its justified.
Minos is way more like Prometheus in Ultrakill, than mythological Minos
It's going to be really weird then if P3 features Prometheus Prime

I like that its completely justified for him to kill V1 then and there, the robots wiped humanity off and V1 is just another invader of hell. However I think that the reason he lost was the eternal prison inside of his own corpse. While dreaming of his revenge his anger grew, turning him away from his days as gods middle man and as king of lust, ready to throw hands once more. He was a just king to the very end, but bloodshed is the one thing V1 can compete in, his flaw turning into his downfall
That and reasoning didn’t work on Gabriel, so it was safe for Minos to assume that strategy wouldn’t work on V1.
Can't wait until we get lore on King Sisyphus.
Hopefully P-2 :)
@@chroma_Prime Hakita said it won't be. I assume it'll be Aeacus and P-3 will be Rhadamanthys.
Edit: shit
@@piyo744 Damn I'm pissed, who's he supposed to be? there ain't no lore in the game about him at all
@@duc1562 Aeacus and Rhadamanthys were the other two Judges of Hades in Greek myth alongside Minos. Aeacus in particular was the son of the nymph Aegina and Zeus, famous for his sense of justice.
Being the son of a sea nymph ties in with Wrath, but it also ties in with how he punished Dionysus believing him to be Heracles and subsequently behind the abduction of Kerberos by torturing him with monsters. He ties back to Heresy by being worshipped on Aegina despite not being a god. The only level he doesn't seem to quite fit in with is Greed, but he was a king on Earth and Alexander the Great traced back his lineage to him, which could fit in with Greed being a monument to humanity's desire for material gains.
Rhadamanthys was the third Judge of Hades, the son of Zeus and Europa. Rhadamanthys married Minos's daughter, Ariadne, and was known for legalizing laws of self-defense which could tie into Violence. Rhadamanthys admittedly has little ties to Fraud and Treachery which are the biggest hurdles in this theory but I think they're the most likely contenders outside of Sisyphus.
@@piyo744 Maybe Sisyphus will be something like Aeacus' flesh prison...?
The crown that symbolizes his ruling of lust and devotion to his people, the faceless head which represents that he did not do good to be recognized. The peak perfect body to represent his hardwork and efforts, his transparent body which represents his honestly, never being able to hide lies from his citizen, his heart which either represents his love for his people or his kindness towards others, and The snakes wrapped around his arms to represent his sense of true justice. King Minos just shows that he truly was fit to be a king.
The crown could probably also mean that he put his people first before him.
Never thought I would cry over a guy who violently killed me several times in a row for 2 hours.
4:01 Is it just a coincidence that the parasites look like the leviathan?
Here comes the "leviathan = parasite" theories.
Hakita did state he wanted to bring the parasites back in some way. I guess the Leviathan is that
The reason they look the same is because they’re both demons created by the council in heaven. All demons have similarities in appearance. That being, coated in hard marble shell, sometimes resembling a face, and weak fleshy insides that fill the crevices between their marble plates.

I really wonder how the ending of Ultrakill is going to play out.
Minos and Gabriel both have extensive lore and act with logic and reason in mind.
Minos wants to atone for his sins and give the denizens of lust a chance at salvation.
Gabriel wants to keep order and fulfill the will of God even in his absence due to his unwavering loyalty.
V1's only drive is to kill and consume blood. Which makes me wonder if V1 will destroy all life until nothing is left or if there will be a different end to the story.
There are questions I still have. Why does Minos have a hole for his face? Why is his corpse’s mouth shut with massive barbed wire?
I like the theory that its symbolic of his ruling. Transparent body with a big heart and without a face, showing his just and kind rule without the need for any glory and recognition making him faceless symbolically.
His faceless manifestation in p-1 is a symbolism of his lack of ego, also, his crown resembles to a city or a kingdom, wich he prioritices over anything.
Minos prime is faceless because he did not want any kind of recognition for his good doings, his corpse is..... angels do some f*cked up shits.
@@-M_- specifically, it resembles the city of lust layer he built.

I don't think you will be able to spare minos because, well, v1 is an emotionless robot, why would she spare him?
Imagine writing a book, and long after you die characters from that book get accurately represented in a crazy videogame.
Also Minos prime: On the fucking contrary
Currently we now have a answer using p-2 terminal
The doors that open like the one within king minos are portal esque because theyre the terminals at the start and end of every level, the terminals communicate between eachother and have a teleportation network, v1 uses the terminals to travel because the terminals like watching him slaughter hell for entertainment, the reason they show up in random spots or areas don't make sense in how they connect is bc the terminal teleports it, let's v1 leave then as he falls teleports him to another terminal, that's why in some levels u can freely see that the entrances don't go on forever.
Well, at least Minos took his Crypto to the afterlife, along with his perks.
I like the fact memer's made minos portrayed as a Chad and Gabriel an angy fella
A prime soul is the most powerful and the most vulnerable state in which a soul can exist.
Most powerful because the will of the soul allows it to have a physical form without a body, shaped by the personal nature of the soul, so powerful that even the ever boastful angels admit fear of a prime soul.
However at its most vulnerable because it can be destroyed. In other states when the soul inhabits a body, when the body is destroyed the soul is removed from it unharmed, and as far as we know there's no limit to the number of times this can take, however a prime soul can be damaged by physical strikes.
fella i think we are the baddies
imagine if they make a dlc where minos prime wins and you can play as him decimating the angels and rule hell once more and maybe give mercy to the lower tier sinners

@goufyahhmsproductions7139 As far as Ultrakill lore is concerned, the terminal in the fishing level confirms God regretted sending sinners to hell.
