We enjoyed the dam tour! We stopped at Hoover Dam on a road trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon a few years before I started the channel. But we just looked at it from the outside. We didn't stop long enough to take the tour so it was fascinating to see inside. Glad the lake levels have risen a bit. Thanks for the tour!
Don't you wish you had the camera back then. I have started calling that Vloggers remorse. The place is so massive and glad we finally were able to take Rosalie there.
I haven’t seen the Hoover Dam in 20+ years! And even then, we didn’t go inside, just drove across it and stopped to take pics. So cool!! Glad I got to see it through you all!
Security is like crossing the border and going to an airplane. With the renovations, it looks much nicer. And they are still doing more renovations. Walking it from the outside is my favorite part.
And Randy Quaid says.... Yeah where can I get some dam bait 😅 I wouldn't be able to go there without thinking of that scene either lol Looks like they won't even need a dam pretty soon. Pretty cool tour!
LOL, I actually had it in. But ended up cutting it. I usually try to keep all clips 6 seconds or less ( to play it safe). Classic scene for sure. If the water goes down all the way, I think the whole south west goes empty. Provides power and water to those key areas.
Never been! I’m jealous. Beautiful shots. Love that you inserted the dam movie clip! I feel like everyone should see this. We will get there one day! That bridge is scary looking from that angel
Hoover Dam!!! In Nevada!!!😎☀️🥰Wow! Thank you for bringing us along!!! And sharing with us the history of this awesome DAM!!!🌞🌞Funny Memes! Hehe! Oh yes good security!!!💪🏽💪🏽👮🏾♀️👮🏾♀️10 min movie! This is awesome!!!💃🏽🌞🌞❤️Cool towers!!! The water went down! Yes!🙏🏽🙏🏽Oh that’s super high up!!!🩷💃🏽💃🏽I visited there years ago with my family!!!😎😎💪🏽I got a cool rock from the store there!!! Thank you again for sharing!!!🩷💪🏽🥰❤️ 8:03
Such an amazing structure. What a feat of engineering ❤ Great cool tour Carl and Melissa, thanks for taking us on this trip ❤❤❤ Have a great weekend 🙏🏽🤠👍🏽
I love this place! The movie was so interesting. The size and scale of the dam is incredible and to learn how it was built- i remember being surprised at how fast it was built! Thanks for the tour!!
Nice dam tour. Elevator looked pretty dam crowded though. Hard to believe that much dam electricity is created by those dam generators. The dam water has risen a dam lot since the last dam time I was there.
I had to google Ginger Zee. I was assuming it was the newscaster. Didn't realize she was that famous. Would have been cool to walk through Lake Mead when the water was that low.
LOL! Yea, I think the last time we went you were with us. I was a bit nervous about this place because it gives water and electricity to many people. If it ran out, that would be bad for the southwest.
I had the chance to go there a long time ago on a business trip and wasn't able to make it. Haha, there was a Bill Nye show where he talked about the Hoover Dam and he kept saying, "That's a LOT of DAM Power!! That is a construction marvel for sure! Ya the elevator would NOT have been my favorite! Great tour!
They really stepped up security over there. It was like crossing into Mexico before you park and the airport as you go in. That would not have been a fun or safe job building this. Still can't believe how much power and water folks receive from this Dam in CA, NV, and Arizona. Hopefully Lake Mead fills up more.
Dam, that was a great tour! Haven't been there for years, cool to see some changes, since I was there last. The highway bridge was not there when I was there last...hopefully that makes traffic flow in and out quicker!
Security definitely has stepped up here and they are still renovating. Much better now than it was in the 90's. Yea, it is not as congested as it use to be. Thanks for watching.
When I visited in 2018, the hour tour was not available due to the reconstruction that was going on. There’s a pedestrian pathway that goes across half of the Pat Tillman bridge that gives some great views of the dam. You could easily spend a full day there. In 2022, they were almost at the point of shutting some of the water off because the levels dropped so much. Looks like you guys had great weather the day you were there
I never actually did the whole DAM tour hehe.. looks cool! Can you just drive through and take pictures or do you need to do the guided tour? You got some great shots! LOL.. best place to visit two states at the same time! I'm glad you got to take Rosalie there!
You can drive through and take photos. But I would recommend to just pay for parking and walk around. The Tour is not required to do that. A lot of great views from the top of the Dam. Really surprised you never made it here. Have a good weekend!
The Hoover dam makes me think of that scene in the original Superman movie when it cracks open from the missile that Lex Luther launched. I never realized it was right on the border.

It's a fantastic dam
This dam was massive and glad we finally made it to show Rosalie. Have a great week.

I really can't believe you guys never made it here with all your classic road trips. Glad at least one person knew the movie reference.
That was a great Dam tour 👍😎
LOL. Glad Rosalie was able to finally get here. Next time, we'll have to do the 1 hour tour.

Hoover Dam is always fun. Cool you have been here also. Did you take the tour also?
Such an amazing structure.
What a feat of engineering ❤
Great cool tour Carl and Melissa, thanks for taking us on this trip ❤❤❤
Have a great weekend 🙏🏽🤠👍🏽
I don't think Vegas would survive without this Dam, along with Arizona and San Diego.
The best Dam video I've seen in a long time! This place is truly incredible, think about the man hours it took to build it back then. Enjoyed it Carl
LOL, too funny. The video they showed was crazy. Also heard that over 100 people died creating it. Glad you enjoyed our Dam Tour!
Awesome tour here I'd like to take this thanks
Great channel see you again be safe cheers 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for stopping by and watching. Have a great week!
I love this place! The movie was so interesting. The size and scale of the dam is incredible and to learn how it was built- i remember being surprised at how fast it was built! Thanks for the tour!!
They didn't mess around for sure. Heard over 100 folks died making the Dam. Probalby not the safest job but bet it payed well.
Nice dam tour. Elevator looked pretty dam crowded though. Hard to believe that much dam electricity is created by those dam generators. The dam water has risen a dam lot since the last dam time I was there.
Best dam comment so far!
That was a great tour Carl, thanks for sharing my friend and hope you and the family have a blessed weekend.
Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend also.
All kinds of crazy stuff was found under that water! 😮😂 great Ginger Zee cameo!👍😊

@@SantosChronicles 😂😂I’m a big Ginger Zee fan!!!
Aw man, great see inside the dam! Always wanted to visit and now i have 😊 Great trip as ever guys ❤
Thanks so much. Glad we were able to give you a little preview.
That was a dam good video tour. 😮 I remember the low water levels the last time I was there. I’m glad to see Lake Mead filling up.

That was dam cool! 🤗Jenn
LOL! Joke never gets old.

You make a pretty good; “Docent”🤪😜
Loved the cameo…..

We lucked out on the weather for sure and glad the water levels are back up. I think the Southwest part of US would be empty if the dam went empty.

In 250 years this dam will belong to Caesar's Legion 🤠
Is that a reference to Planet of The Apes, if it is - hilarious.
The Hoover dam makes me think of that scene in the original Superman movie when it cracks open from the missile that Lex Luther launched. I never realized it was right on the border.
That's a good reference. I love that movie. Such a massive dam and it is impressive every time I see it.
Their is actually a guy with several tens of thousands rpunds of ammo , just have to search
There was a lot of security there and they weren't messing around.
