- WTF DOES “OG KPOP STAN" EVEN MEAN?! Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this RUclips name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛 Sooo I am currently and actively keeping a weather eye on the KPOP horizon!

okay i love these boys. they've been showing nth but endless support and respect towards BTS. This is a good cover btw. They got their own colour, but the original taste remains somehow.

Yes! Enhypen keep growing and improving very fast in every performance.
Enhypen got a lot of critics in the beginning, because of their short (even very very short) training period. Heeseung got 3 years (the longest), others 2 years, even 2 the others were less than a year. That's too short!
Most Idols take 3-8 years as trainees in their company. Most Idols must take long period to debut, but Enhypen members spend just short time to debut, and then directly get large recognition from public. It seems "unfair" for most artists/Idols. No wonder, Enhypen gets many haters and antis, especially from other fandom.
The CEO of Big Hit ever said in the beginning of "iland" survival show: "We are not looking for talents only, we are looking for fast growing potentials". Therefore, some participants, who had quite good quality as Idols but didn't show much improvement during first half part, got eliminated. Big hit wants to make sure that those Idols are hard workers, fast learners, and keep improving in every performance. And it's true, Enhypen can show us those criteria.
Enhypen members successfully show us new improvement in every performance and comeback. We always see new sides of themselves. Those are new surprises for fans. We are happy to see it, enjoy it and celebrate that improvement together. We never get bored to see them on stage.

True - Heesesung killed the rapping part! In the survival series I-Land the producer's mentioned that Heeseung did very well as a trainee for rapping. Bring it back Heeseung!
