"Nice story dad"! Got to love a dad that brings his child to share with them what the dad loves to do!
The string arrangement on this song is sublime...gives the song an incredible and emotional climax, I think the song is a masterpiece and probably my favourite FF song...and I fuckin love LOADS of their songs.
Btw loving that Dave chose violins for that section in the song, it really sounds beautiful and adds so much to the song, my favorite on the album!! I bet he chose violins because that is what Violet is learning to play.....so sweet!!!!
I bet you it's also why she's in the studio with him!
abraham ruiz that's exactly what I thought!!
I don't know about anyone else, but the entire 8 episodes of
Sonic Highways just hit me in the feels every time, and this...being the last song...hit me ESPECIALLY square in the feels, and I tear up a little bit every time I hear it because of the joy and impact that Foo and Dave and now Sonic Highways have had. And, I confess, sad tears because I didn't want it to be over. May the Foo gods shine down and allow us a season 2! THANK YOU, Dave & crew, for what you've given to music history with Sonic Highways. It should be required viewing for all high school music classes!
A lot of swears though lol
The intro to this song is beautiful
Best song on the album
Your crazy definitely Feast and The Famine
Why crazy? There are 8 songs on the album, people bound to have a different favourite than others
***** Cause its long and repetitive and it got old quickly.
I wasn't asking why you don't like it. I like the song, you don't. It's not crazy... goodbye
***** Next to Something From Nothing its definetely the best one
And this is what i love about foo fighters. Of course they could have hired an orchestra that would be more talented, better in time, better in tune. But no. They hired young people that can live their dream and that can tell their kids: I played on that epic song from the epic foo fighters and we recorded it onto tape and not digital. The orchestra part itself is so simple but yet so powerful and has a strong connection to the song, that i can not help myself but shed tears every time i hear the song.
Foo Fighters for president!
'Nice story Dad!'
hahaha too funny!
My favorite song of Sonic Highways
As a violinist and a music major this was so amazing to me omg
omg violet's hair is so short.....so cute!! she is a cute little girl Nice story Dad hahaha!!
Damm this part with violin sound great. I would love one acoustic version with more of this
So beautiful
One of their best songs on the album
Dwight Schrute Oh yeah Foo Fighters,Beets, and Black Bears rock! LOVE this song
Beautiful. Bravo.
I just love these kinds of videos. Love seeing the artists at work. Thanks for sharing. And your daughter is right: you should have prepared a better speech -- haha :)
Dave has 3 daughters. I assume that's the oldest one - Violet. ;)
***** Thanks :-)
Daves daughter is funnier than dave haha
Best song on the new album. One of the better songs they've done period.
my favourite song on the album without a shadow of a doubt! Really REALLY hope they play this one at Wembley!
this is so fucking beautiful i swear!!
fucking awesome - "nice story dad!!!" classic!
Ha les grands orchestres qui accompagnent les bons groupes de rock, ça a quelque chose de grandiose, ça donne des frissons
Epic. The Foo Fighters tried something new
I'm in love with this song!
The best song on the album! Have no idea why it hasn't been a single yet
Excelent.
Excelent album!
fucking beautiful!
The Great Tony Visconti!
they didn't played with headphones haha
So luckyyy
Amazing. I love this album and I love the Foo Fighters! It is so amazing and awe inspiring to see how far The Foos have come.. can you imagine them doing this back in The Colour and The Shape days? No way, (And I LOVE that album), I just think it's awesome to see this journey and transition made by Grohl and the rest of the band to a whole new sound and style; and I'm glad they've evolved organically in this way.. nothing seems forced, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace seems to have laid the groundwork for an album like this and you could hear their sound shifting to this style naturally- yet they can still kick out a badass rock ballad and totally rock everyone's socks off. Essentially, the Foo Fighters can do it all and I, along with most everyone else with musical common sense adore them for it.
Are they dragging or rushing?
aremenius Whiplash reference?
so fucking EPIC
These clips are better then the show was.
fucking awesome
Muito bom!!!
is it just me or are some of their instruments out of tune?
La wea hermosa viéndolos a ellos me arrepiento no haber estudiado musica profesional para tocar en una orquesta o enseñar no hay wea mas sublime que el crear y tocar musica
To the one person who disliked this video, what the hell?
Uh nice, it's Tony Visconti.
Dave's daughter!! Cute!
Hahhaha violet being sarcastic😂
0'26'' !!!
Are those high school musicians?
They really do not sound great...I can't be the only one who hears that.
From where are this classical musicians? Because most of them on this video are East Asians i think?
Is this Dave's studio? With the Neve console?
No, it's the magic shop in Soho, New York.
Thank you. It looked like an analogue recording studio so i was curious.
Foo Fighters I love you but for the love of god, reduce your live ticket prices, they're a complete rip off!
rtwilson I think there worth it if you go to watch them because of there support acts too, like the wembley gig I have tickets too has royal blood and iggy pop supporting
rtwilson have you seen them live? they're worth every penny, believe me!
Rob Veryard I'm sure they are man but it's a bit mad when you look and tickets are close to £100!
I paid $150 and was front row of the mosh. Three hour concert with the band less than a metre from me. Honestly worth ever cent. You get what you pay for in terms of performance and the length of concert. Honestly incomparable concert experience.
rtwilson I paid £70, last time I checked that was quite alot of difference from £100. They instantly sold out wembley so why would they put there ticket prices down?
