I attend the ceremony and entered the stadium just when the water started to turn on, I was suprised till the bone... everything was so spectacular and the audience was such a support to each other just like a family... YES!! they created fake waterfall or we can say, waterfall look like - with real water, real jet pump machine behind the stage, which is shape as an island with volcano - style. and also create the level of high with stairs to reach to top from the main - bottom stage. and yes, they took some real plants for making it real. plus, great lightning to make our eyes deceive with the performances. its an art! its just entertaining the athletes - to welcome them, they said.

What a magnificent opening ceremony!! I love the movie-like scenes when the President entered the stadium, and the majestic Group dance...OMG! Yes you're right. Couldn't imagine how much time and effort they've spent practicing it. Indonesian should be very proud of it. This opening ceremony has raised the bar higher.

You're not crazy bro. That's a "real" waterfall. I mean... The people who work behind this amazing opening ceremany built that waterfall including the mountain for 4 months. And this is the craziest thing. a few days ago. After the show ended. They starting to "destroy" the whole set. The mountain, the waterfall completely gone. And the stadium back to normal. Crazy, right?? 4 months to built but only takes 60 hours to make it disappear. Lol!!!

Sangat disayangkan memang. Tapi ini namanya totalitas, gw yakin klo org yg merencanakan "ide gila" ini sejak awal sudah tau klo kita gak bisa nyimpan gunung berapi di dalam Stadium Olahraga (even the fake one), tapi mereka tetap mewujudkan rencana itu gak peduli seberapa lama waktu yg dibutuh dan tidak peduli untuk berapa lama digunakannya. Klo bisa milih, seharusnya gunungnya dipindahan, gak usah dibongkar. Its just so perfect.

It was an opening ceremony, music performance and cultural parade all combine into one to give your ears eyes and entire cells of your body a fully satisfactory experiences just to witness it... some ppl might not understand the language nor the song's meanings but still you still be able to enjoy it. You're not crazy bro. That's a "real" waterfall. I mean... The people who work behind this amazing opening ceremany built that waterfall including the mountain for 4 months. And this is the craziest thing. a few days ago. After the show ended. They starting to "destroy" the whole set. The mountain, the waterfall completely gone. And the stadium back to normal. Crazy, right?? 4 months to built but only takes 60 hours to make it disappear. Lol!!!

Sangat disayangkan memang. Tapi ini namanya totalitas, gw yakin klo org yg merencanakan "ide gila" ini sejak awal sudah tau klo kita gak bisa nyimpan gunung berapi di dalam Stadium Olahraga (even the fake one), tapi mereka tetap mewujudkan rencana itu gak peduli seberapa lama waktu yg dibutuh dan tidak peduli untuk berapa lama digunakannya. Klo bisa milih, seharusnya gunungnya dipindahan, gak usah dibongkar. Its just so perfect.
