@@ThePilleroflightning Because people's childhood and their teenhood is mostly their best time of life, a 90 year old granny wouldn't write I miss early 2010's on the internet
Early 2000's and Early 2010's were the best of my life too.. I am glad I got to play the release of Halo 3 as a 4 year old kid, find out about Minecraft, watch Stampy all day long, play Minecraft Ps Vita all day long until it ran out of battery and went to play outside doing all those 'epic battle scenarios' with lego's and normal toys lol.. nothing will be ever like it again. I still remember the deep dark blue sky, the sunflares glaring into the blinds of my grandma's house making epic rays inside.. I only saw that same sky again in June 2022, When I went onto the final week of my previous school where I went for 10-11 years. I felt a deep sense of calm, memories and joy..
It's so insane that it's almost like it all happened within 2 seconds and now we are here, 9 years later for me and I don't play Minecraft anymore but I will always think about the memories that were made.. I guess you could say I "gamed" my childhood away.
Same here…. I always think about how I “gamed” my childhood away too but you gotta remember without the experiences you had during those times you wouldn’t be who you are today. Cherish the memories.
As someone in another comment section once said, it’s beautiful that so many people collectively hold such nostalgic feelings toward this game, and yet, everyone’s memories are still truly unique to themselves.
I think everyone born in the early 2000s can relate to this. Sort of weird how early/simpler minecraft isn't something anyone will grow up with anymore.
The time between 2011 and 2016. Minecraft 1.2 to 1.9. Walking up early on a Saturday morning. Its winter, 10 days before Christmas. You look outside and see snow falling from the sky. You walk into the livingroom, turning your Playstation on. You put your Headset on and open your survival world, which you started last Weekend. The first Soundtrack is Subwoofer Lullaby. Pure ecstasy. I would pay anything to live that day again.
There was nothing like waking up and loading up the old minecraft launcher who remember the old minecraft launcher with the dirt background and play down the bottom right might have bedn log in i forget
i remember being a kid who watched let's plays and wanted to build her own city. we played bed wars with my friends and even tried to record this. like it was really nice time. sometimes i miss it so much 'cause life seemed easier for a lot of us you know. now im 17 i don't play minecraft but still love its atmosphere and play its soundtracks on piano. im glad i had that kind of childhood
@@beefbigshot8789 as a fellow 17 year old, i'd say life may not be as easy as your life was at this age. I'm just going to guess you didn't move out by this age, work, still study, and starve every few days. Considering you said it was easy, of course.
Yeah, i used to play with my cousin a lot when we were younger, just hours of 1v1 on the arena mode on playstation 3 many years ago, when we were like 8 or 9. Were both 17 now and havent spoken in years, but minecraft makes me think back to those days. We had this world called "Hunt for the ender dragon", where we gathered all the disks, got a bunch of pets and rare items. Even started a small economy based on bartering. When my aunt would force us outside, we would continue playing around as if we were in the game, hitting things with sticks and "fighting zombies". Good times.
It’s that nostalgia that feeling of home, joy, happiness, good old times, finding your first diamonds, building your first house, your first death where you lost all your items. All the memories this game created… it’s undescribable…
I still remember playing Minecraft for the first time on my mothers old laptop that could barely run it. I build a little wooden house with a glass box next to it to watch the sunset without getting hit by zombies. Good times....
Omg, that’s so true! I remember the very first time my brother played with me. I also still remember my first world. It’s a shame that I don’t have it anymore…
This hit me right in the soul, I’m only 16 and my life has already been shattered into a million pieces. My parents are divorced, my friends have moved away and all my pets have gotten sick and passed away. I got kicked out of school and now I stay in my room all day, just staring at a black screen, wondering what went wrong. I used to play Minecraft back in 2014-2015, and I loved it. The feeling of finding your first diamond, or building your first house is irreplaceable and i will be forever grateful to Minecraft for making my childhood so amazing. But nowadays it just doesn’t feel the same, I have tried to play it, enjoy it, I really have. But it just isn’t the same as back then. All of these glamorous updates and fancy multiplayer servers just aren’t the 2014-2015 vibe that Minecraft used to give off. I remember dying to a creeper and crying about it to my parents, I remember beating the ender dragon and screaming my lungs out of excitement. No matter what I do I just can’t replicate that. I am forever grateful to Minecraft for my childhood, but it will never be the same. When I listen to this I don’t cry, I don’t feel sad, I just feel empty, as I realise how truly depressing my life has gotten
Hold on bud. Life is a roller coaster of ups and downs, sometimes it feels like a lot of downs, but the thing that happens when u become an adult, ur own person, 18 ect is that you get much more control over the roller coaster and with hard work and good decisions you can make life more ups than downs. Keep fighting. Never surrender!
The conventions I went to in 2014, the friends I met, and the experiences I had that year. When my dad was still alive. When skyrim and mine craft were still so fun to replay.
I feel you. I lost my dad too. He used to let me play Skyrim and Minecraft on his Xbox 360, along with a bunch of other games. He was the best. Hope you’re doing okay! I know it’s not easy.
I do miss the good ol days. Modern day Minecraft just cant capture the same essence. In my opinion, its not nearly as good. But the memories will always come flooding back to me when I hear C418's soundtrack pop off. To all the other old guard out there, this one goes out to you.
@@fayenotfaye The game did change. I recently saw am 11 years old MC video without knowing how old it was. And I just had this long gone feeling... I once in a while play the current mincraft, it lacks this feeling,
The smaller selection of songs certainly assisted with the nostalgia creation. I think a better way to say it is that the game changing is not why playing it feels empty. It feels empty because playing even the older versions does not actually bring you back to who you used to be. Ultimately you are older and this emptiness is the pain of lost youth.
While I understand the sentiment, is there a reason why you can’t play an older version of the game? If you’re talking about Console Edition/Bedrock I agree, but Java players have the option to launch up release 1.3 or whatever version they choose. I’m more in agreement with the other commenters that the change in the way you perceive the world (as a result of growing up) has shifted the way in which you view Minecraft as a whole
Oh God, I still remember when I played with all of my cousins, I enjoyed that for real. Now 9 years later I'm willing to experience that sensation again. How remarkable a videogame can be, my gosh.
My cousins showed me the xBox 360 version in very early 2010’s I believe. I remember Christmas and Easter we just went to the basement to play on their xBox. I even remember two of the worlds very clearly.
This music still hits me hard, I remember my brothers and our cousin used to stay up super late exploring caves, screaming our heads off. Definitely one of my favorite memory of Minecraft.
I remember when me and my brother and some cousins played Minecraft in survival we were making houses and destroying them I just wish time just go back to those time I want to at least play a little more Minecraft with them now they're older I feel like a child clinging on Minecraft just to fell a small happiness but now I also grown older and I remember when my brother introduced me to io games I really liked meep and starve I remember when me and I my brother stayed up late at night I just wish the time rewind
everyone says that about their childhood though like people born in 2003-2007 would say the early 2010s are the best years and people born in late 60s and early 70s will say its the 80s and so on
Truly. I miss the 2010s when i was just a young little boy (im 18 now) and i really miss those years. All those old school memes, all those times. Everything was perfect. And now in todays world you cant make a joke without getting cancelled. Society has failed miserably
God this game holds a nice little place in my heart. I remember very clearly when I first played Minecraft on the PE Edition. It was sometime in April at night and it was raining outside. My mom finally bought the game for me after I wanted it for so long and my first minecraft world was in a jungle biome, where it was also raining too!! I remember taming an ocelot and was really happy about it. Mann nostalgia is crazy sometimes
Me too man. My first contact with minecraft is with the pocket edition. I remember the old world with limited size, the nether generator, when diamonds were actually rare, etc. It has been 10+ years since then and now I'm an adult working my ass off. Time fly so fast

I was in my early 20s when Minecraft blew up. So, I never experienced it as a child, and I just couldn't get into it as a young adult. However, my best friends brother played this game all the time in 2012. There were many nights that me and my friend would stay up having deep conversations about our fears, our pain, our depression, girls, and everything else in between. During those talks we could hear his brother still playing Minecraft, which made those conversations all the more memorable because of its wonderful soundtrack. So, whenever I hear this music, I think of those nights. I miss them so much.

I had a friend who I've met before kindergarten, we would hangout a lot as we were neighbours and best friends and I must say some of the most memorable times we had together was when we were playing minecraft on my old playstation 3. It makes me sad to think about the fact that a few years back my playstation 3 storage got corrupted which made the console unusable. Shortly after he moved and we both went our seperate ways and those Minecraft worlds we had became a thing of the past, then last year I lost my old minecraft java account because I didn't have access to the email and couldn't migrate. It was really nice having this game as a part of my childhood and it's something that I'll probably remember forever. I guess I've had all the fun I could've had, I don't want to leave, but remember guys, for every person that places their last block, there will always be someone placing their first, the beauty of minecraft truly is eternal.

Like everyone else here, this brings back so many memories… I first started playing MC in about 2011, after my entire life had been destroyed and uprooted, moved across the US so shortly after nearly losing my mom… Minecraft was my ten-year old self’s escape. It still is some months… How the time f l i e s…. Soon here, I’ll be turning 22 (Feb 21st, woot woot)! I remember playing the XBox tutorial map for MONTHS and never knowing how to craft, and then my dad bought the full game for my brother and I, and I finally found the crafting tutorial… I remember gravel getting its texture update, I remember finding Minecraft: Story Mode and all the wonderful friends that led me to years later, making my first real OC, writing my first full-fledged book (fanfic),… It’s been *so damn long*, yet it doesn’t feel like hardly any time has passed. I won’t be returning to this comment. The idea of massive amounts of time passing is triggering to me, but… I figured I’d type this up like everyone else regardless, because DUDE…. This video takes me back in the best way, to the days of watching SkyDoesMinecraft parkour map runs and joining prison servers, rushing homework so I could get those extra ten minutes of MC… Nostalgia to its core. Thank you for making this video, mate. And thank you to everyone commenting on it, whether you see my little blurb or not. Minecraft… What a trip. ^^

I miss this era so much. Being a carefree child whose only life goal was to have as much fun as possible. Now that I’m older, I have responsibilities, go through stress, and don’t have that much time to have fun anymore. Life is so complicated now, I wish it was as simple as it was back then. It's specifically in 2014 that I discovered and started to play Minecraft... I-, what to say after all ? Time flies. I remember building a giant castle hotel made out of diamond and gold blocks with my sister, helping her build a complex rail road network, and celebrating a successful base construction by making a floating platform made out of glowstone blocks and “dancing” to the classic Minecraft music until we were too tired to keep our eyes open. Minecraft helped me connect with my sister in ways I couldn’t when she outgrew a hobby we shared. I wish that connection would’ve grown up with us, but nothing lasts forever. At least we have the memories.
0:00 that sound... reminds me of the tutorial you would do.... the first mobs you would kill... the first diamonds you got.... the first creative world you made with your siblings.... the first house you would make to hide from the mobs until it was daytime.... the first diamond block house you would make on creative mode... it's all hitting me. The nostalgia. The sound. It's hitting me really really fast. Dang. How time flies by so fast is crazy.
I had this in my watch later and it showed up in my feed, it’s been a year since I first saw this. I wasn’t a married man when I first came across this, but now that I am a married man, it just goes to show how fast time goes….dont go hollow my friends.
It's sad knowing that we'll never get to experience playing minecraft in its golden age when we were kids again But we can at least remember the good old times and be happy that we made so many good memories
The past wasn’t just a memory, it was a something that we loved, from tears, from blocks, from vines, from a noob, from a person that was happy in the past.
Back in the 360 days I hung out with my friends. We made a world and progressed pretty far. We made castles the twin towers and parts of our neighborhood. Few months ago we met after years of no contact. He still had his 360 and we looked at the world astonished on the memories and how the game has progressed. Good times man
Sound is connected to memories. I had rapid flashbacks when I heard a song from yt that wasn't about MC and it was actually a red disc song (chirp). I depersonalized myself completely as I was listening to that music and not what the creator was talking about.
2014 was a great year. I played Minecraft a lot that year. It was when I switched from 1.5.2 to 1.7.10, which were both great versions! I have many cool memories from this year's Minecraft playing.
Nostalgia really is impactful. Listening to this took me back to when I was in high school. My friends and I would create a Lan world and play around in it until it was time to return home. We never knew back then that it would never last. If we did, we would have cherished those moments more.

Ah, the nostalgia. This makes me remember when I was little and would play minecraft at full volume and would be sitting on a chair in the living room while my parents watched the news and I had nothing to worry about. It makes me remember the day a few years ago when me and my dad were trapped in a blizzard and the only thing keeping me from having a panic attack was the minecraft soundtrack at full volume as I worked on building a part of my city in creative.
Good times. One day, when i was a kid in 2014, i was in the xbox 360 version building stuff on creative with my dad, we were for about 1 hour and a half. My dad said he was tired, and went to sleep. I continued playing, and this song 0:00 just felt like it was saying "keep going" i remember it was raining that day, and it was loud but the minecraft music merged with it. The nostalgia... I remember playing it for the first time with my sister, completely confused. It was raining, and the mobs were nearby. Me and my sister proudly made a "modern" house out of dirt and sand... I'll never forget those times and the friends I made
Oh how I yearn to return to those days of being a child, not having a single worry in the world. Whenever I hear that music my whole body stops and I'm transported back. Those beautiful memories I hold so close to me.
Sadly I can't feel the nostalgia come inside me because i started playing minecraft in 2019 and watching videos in 2017/2018 but if i think how my life was at these times, i surely can make myself cry, where everything was easy and fun, we had no worries and our only goal was to have a great time. Now we are stressed, always working working and working, and life is a repetitive cycle that is the same for everyday since a lot of time. Unfortunately wanting to come back to these times can only make you sadder, but it's the only way you can give a look to the good days.
The first Minecraft I played was on my cousins ipad that has MCPE on it. I didn't have no devices back when I was a kid, only my older brother has a phone
this brought me back to a familiar place, i felt innocent once again. even if it was for a few seconds, i’d do anything just to feel that happiness for eternity again
Crazy just how nostalgic this game is. Practically has a whole chapter in everyone's lives here in the comments. The time I spent in this game playing with friends and siblings was unforgettable for me. I still go back every once in a while.... still dream of building that epic castle and town i always wanted...
I remember introducing my nephew to Minecraft when he was like 7 years old. Then the rest was nothing but fun memories. Playing Minecraft with him and helping him with his ideas and imagination with his tree-houses, Beach houses and of course, huge Tall & Wide castles and towers. I still have the saved maps we used to play together on my PS4. But now it’s 2023 and he is 14 years old and playing FPS games on his PS5. Thank you Minecraft for helping my nephew and nieces with your video games of expressing yourself with fun imaginations
The music makes me perfectly visualize the memories that I have for this game. I still remember the first world I made with my friend. I remember showing my mom the cool things I built. I remember the first time I downloaded it on my old 2012 macbook. Things were so much simpler back then.
The way at the time of first playing we felt nothing but excitement and wouldve never known it would stick with us for this long , minecraft is a game that shows how long you can do the same thing yet still make memories along the way, minecraft is a historic thing nonetheless, stories about minecraft will be told 10s even 100s of years after, yet we will still find more room for fun times, and when we look back at those times we wont cry in happieness ,but rather feel the same way we felt
I swear this soundtrack must be the greatest of all time. Nostalgia HITS like a truck, I can even smell it or even feel in the air those good old times as a kid discovering this wonderfull game.
I remember my dad building this epic base with roller coasters coming out of it circa 2015 - 2016. He loved this game which I introduced to him. He died about one year later to suicide. He never finished the base. I hope this was his game to get away from his depression. I love you, Dad.

Dang. How time flies by so fast is crazy.
it's always nice to see what other/younger/older people are nostalgic for, world is an amazing place
I had this in my watch later and it showed up in my feed, it’s been a year since I first saw this. I wasn’t a married man when I first came across this, but now that I am a married man, it just goes to show how fast time goes….dont go hollow my friends.
I am happy for you
It's sad knowing that we'll never get to experience playing minecraft in its golden age when we were kids again
But we can at least remember the good old times and be happy that we made so many good memories
No truer word has been said my friend
The past wasn’t just a memory, it was a something that we loved, from tears, from blocks, from vines, from a noob, from a person that was happy in the past.
As someone who grew up in the 2010’s, I can confirm that I will never have such good times ever in my life

I still play older versions of Minecraft when I run a modded server, and these songs come up so often it feels like I never left those good days.
Back in the 360 days I hung out with my friends. We made a world and progressed pretty far. We made castles the twin towers and parts of our neighborhood. Few months ago we met after years of no contact. He still had his 360 and we looked at the world astonished on the memories and how the game has progressed. Good times man
Glad to hear that it went well and y’all met again 😭
This guy woke so many emotions and memories with one image and one song

2 songs lol, the music is incredible. the nostalgia it brings.
Two songs
Every now and then, I come back and just listen to this music and some from other games, and just remember all the good times I had
It’s always the soundtrack for me. I remember playing this for hours daily after school and just listening to it while building my house or exploring
Nostalgia really is impactful. Listening to this took me back to when I was in high school. My friends and I would create a Lan world and play around in it until it was time to return home. We never knew back then that it would never last. If we did, we would have cherished those moments more.
It was so good to be a kid...
If u're not 18 yet, enjoy every second.
Life might look hard, but it gets way worse, trust me.
Thanks mate enjoying every piece of second of my youth 3rd year highschool coming back to school i have no close friends for the past 5 years bc my family keeps moving city remebering multiplayer with 8 of my friends adventuring was so fun but im still young so im restarting as a new man
@@barneyboii7914 I had a friend in the same situation. He moved multiple times. People come and go. I stopped talking to 95% of my highschool friends and apparently, almost everyone does. Actually, I read in a research that adults have an average of 2 close friends.
I hope you can make some close friends this year, and if you don't, don't worry. You have college, work, gym, internet, etc... You WILL find some close friends that you'll keep for life.
Got 18 on 26. October.. I enjoyed every moment.. 😢
Im 22 now and growing up is realising that the world hates you and everything outside of your tribe wants to kill you. No matter how much love is in your heart, you need to act with the same ferocity. RIP to all the kids we were. at least we can have a few seconds of nostalga
@@Cannedbeef yep true thing
it’s just the feeling that you will never get what you felt here back
I first time played Minecraft somewhere around 2014 and then played a lot since 2017. And you know, seeing this image and hearing Moog City 2 is super nostalgic, of course. I'm glad this video exists
God, this song at the beginning makes me feel nostalgic so much. Good memories.
What song is this?
I wish i could just go back to the good days
Me too man
ikr
one day you will consider these days to be the good old days, so make the most of them now!
I started playing minecraft in 2014. The memories and nostalgia rlly hits hard listening to this
This feeling… it’s so unique, the feeling of nostalgia, playing til 6am on the weekends… looting villages and making underground bases.. I miss the good times
It feels like its Yesterday when i built together with my friend a underground Base and after that i showed it my Brother and he couldnt believe me that its that good until we also built one,
Good old days...
It was like i was actually feeling the game speak to me. So many good memories.
God fucking damn it man
thanks for sharing :)

Bro imagine you just wake up and your still in 2014
Sadly I can't feel the nostalgia come inside me because i started playing minecraft in 2019 and watching videos in 2017/2018 but if i think how my life was at these times, i surely can make myself cry, where everything was easy and fun, we had no worries and our only goal was to have a great time.
All I can remember is me just building a bunch of roller coasters and always on creative mode, never played survival
Isso dá vontade de chorar pela nostalgia e lembranças, bons tempos que nunca vão voltar
😢 we cant come back this never
this brought me back to a familiar place, i felt innocent once again. even if it was for a few seconds, i’d do anything just to feel that happiness for eternity again
Happy memories make you happy thinking about them. It is the thought that you will never truly be able to relive those memories that makes you sad.
Crazy just how nostalgic this game is. Practically has a whole chapter in everyone's lives here in the comments. The time I spent in this game playing with friends and siblings was unforgettable for me. I still go back every once in a while.... still dream of building that epic castle and town i always wanted...
Самая грустная песня что я слышал и старая атмосфера майнкрафта...
Things were so much simpler back then.
so true... i had the same experience
Let's all get together sometime on an alpha world to make some new memories together

nostalgia just hit me so hard i physically felt the wind knocked out of me. goddamn i wish these times were as good as they were back then
I swear this soundtrack must be the greatest of all time.
I hope your dad rests in piece
