How beautiful. I bet you don't get local youths causing chaos where you live, like we do by us. They shattered our car back window the other night and threw at least one glass bottle in, which shattered all over the car. There is glass in every crack and crevice in our car at the moment. I'll dream of living in such a beautiful spot.
Wow what a awe inspiring place! It shows what Mother Nature can do and the greenery which is growing in the crevices where I presume the water gets trapped ? Loved it!
Mark Jackson It's crazy, there are ferns 6 ft deep at the bottom of some and they only get about 20 minutes of sunlight a day. Lovely place. Cheers, Dan.
Lovely isn't it to take an afternoon out and see what beauty there is around us. I'm a Lancashire Lass but go to Yorkshire v often as one daughter lives in Leeds. Spend many a night holidaying in your part of world. I know all around there like the back of my hand. Viaduct a piece of art..always amazes me how They built things which will last for ever and are pleasing to the eye, and we build things that last 2 mins, cost a fortune and look awful and modern stuff doesn't fit in with the landscape. Stunning vid Dan, thanks.(on day 2 of good weather?..must be a record).
Marina Wilson Had to make the most of the day of sunshine in this year's wonderful Summer. They're doing a program about the history of the building of Ribblehead Viaduct apparently later in the year, should be interesting. Cheers, Dan.
It astonishes me that I love to go to such places - even when the weather is 'bad'. I have walked around up there on the three peaks and pennine way and I have no explanation why I did it except to see it and find out what it is like. I find it beautiful as you also seem to do and I have no explanation why this is what I think, except that this seems to be what humans have evolved to do - to explore and to discover and to like new and unusual places. Perhaps we find the simple joy of existence in these ways. Thanks for posting this. Dave
***** You just can't being out there, away from all the rubbish of modern life just looking at natual stuff. That's what I like. Forget 4G Ipads and the like, give me a big piece of space with nobody about. Great stuff. Cheers, Dan.
Looks lovely. When you laying in between the rocks I instantly thought you were very brave! It's inbuilt in Australians the every hole may be filled with snakes and spiders.
Wowser! Lovely vid Dan. Well needed chill day??? Love the 'Big Fella' and what looks like Yorkshire's own Joshua Tree :'-) and you just can't help being a big kid climbing rocks...I know...do it myself hahaha. Bloody lovely 'Time Out' vid Dan. Takes Care, Andy & Karen.
Little Garden Diary It's only a 5 minute drive away or I can get there with a 20 minute walk from home. Take it for granted too much really. Cheers, Dan.
Thank you Dan. What a beautiful backyard you have. I am sure that I have seen some of that landscape in some British movies. The limestone pavements I felt were in the movie HeathCliff. The arch bridge in the backround from another movie, maybe Harry Potter? I could be wrong about both. There is a photo in every direction. I loved that end photo of the single tree in the pavement rocks and the mountain in the rear.
Extraordinary landscape Dan, coming from Otley but currently living in Spain your videos remind me of home, keep more of these coming please. Is there a chance you might do some more metal detector videos as well?
Great little video fella. One of the lads I know has gone camping and walking up your way this week. I've got to put up with 10 nights in Tenerife from Saturday and coming back to a plot full of weeds lol Chris.
Hi Dan, I'm over in the states on holiday, so just catching up on the videos. You are in my favourite part of the country. I have done the three peaks a couple of times and so appreciate the landscape. Maybe you can take us down Gaping Gill on another video, that bosons chair is a bit tight though!!! The Ribblehead Viaduct, what a sight!!!! I envy you having that to wake up to each morning. Was the limestone pavement on top of Malham Cove? Cheers.........Nigel
Hi Dan we live in gods country Yorkshire. I live in east Yorkshire ( Hull ) but i must say you have the best bit lol.But we can say we are Yorkshire men with pride. So the rest of the youtubers come and visit Yorkshire. Regards colim
Absolutely beautiful. Makes me want to join a "share your world" group where couples (or singles) can swap locations and enjoy what the other has to offer for a short while. I've been to St Annes on the Sea when I was 12. Got to see much of the UK. So much history. So much beauty. Going to bring wife in a few years.
***** temperatures reach between 20 and 35 °C, but almost around 30 °C even in the middle of the night (not easy to sleep well) ... greetings from aix en provence
What a beautiful place. Thanks for taking me along. Would love to see more of these type of videos. What are those rock stacks that you were climbing on? God bless and take care.
Teresa H The thing I climbed on was a Cairn which is an ancient way marker which you followed so you didn't fall off the edge of the cliff in bad weather. Cheers, Dan.
+allotmentdiary I was wondering that as well. thanks for the info. the rocks I meant. it would be great to see more and would love to hear you tell the stories about what you show. thanks again for sharing.
Barclay's Mommy, Donna I think it's a combination of Glacial Melt water and then later when the trees were all cut down to farm livestock the thin soil layer washed away to reveal the formations. Cheers, Dan.

It has a history of it's own from the 1800s.
