Sir, I want to say thank you for your videos. I have a 89 25hp evinrude and under load she would stall and lean sneeze. With your help I completely overcome rebuilding fuel pump, carburetor cleaning and timing adjustments etc. After all that it still would bog down under load! then in one of your great videos you said the gray fuel line goes bad with a internal plastic liner I cut the line off and the primer bulb stayed pumped up with pressure and I knew right away it was the issue❤ You are absolutely the best 2stroke mechanic on the tube👍🏽🤙🏽I now have the best fastest 2 stroke in the world PS. I also switched to an external CDI box and cleaned up all the ooozzzz

Hey. Thanks for tuning in! Yes- I know where it goes- not my first rodeo- Hahaha- I had my reasons to move it but all that got edited out among other things- not important.. Thanks again & Stay Tuned !

Moving must really have taken it out of you cos you looked way younger at the start of this episode! 😂 Maybe it's just the haircut? 🤔 Great job again on the ol' OB! 👍

Great job.....I'd like to see it finished.. I've watched every one so far....... I've converted two this month to electric start a 25 and a 30.... pulled the flywheel and installed a stator and rectifier to charge back the battery...I need to start filming all of my stuff...would be cool...

Those are well made engines. By the way solenoid bracket goes on the other side should fit no grinding...... Frank

Hey. Thanks for tuning in! Yes I know, check out some of my other outboards. I had talked about mounting it on the other side but it didn't make the final edit. Sort of a time issue- anyway- not important. Thanks again & Stay Tuned !

Oh yeah! The saga continues on TOO.
If you ever get around to fishing for them crappie, try a soft plastic on 2-4lb test line with a 1/32 oz jig head. Sometimes you can even run them under a cork once you find the fish depth.

as you knew theuprated 25hp models was really started beingmade by omc in say was in 1975 or ealrier as OMC was really gettint therese outboards on themarket say the electric start model have the samecowlings but the pull start model had the hole for the pull start as thiswas really was common for folks to get say a same year pull start otboard like that and really convert thse outboards over tosay the electric start model say the fisho did that as i knew frim my time as an ex OMC mechanic i knew these was are really good motors as youmissed a point here was in my trade in Australia we have to get these outboard converted to electric starts really as these outboards was used o say on 14ft tinny boats in Australia as far i knew thiwas really thecase in my time in the outboard service trade as i knew thiswas with a shop that fixes older OMC outboards i had one really good job was tearing the power hewad of say a 35hp johnson that was a OMC outboard id say as i was being asked to asses the ouwer head for euse on a outboard that blew it's older powerhead and i was got the job of seeing the new powerhead was ok tobe reused as i knew thiwas really thecase i said yesit canbe used so me and the guys in the shop talk to the owner of the boat who came in toget his powerhead redone we got this fixed in good time atfer thiwas the big case i have todeal withas an ex OMC mechanic i knew thieewas in a smaller outboard shop i worked a few times in fute nw as thiwas really thecase in my time there i learnt alot on these oldr OMC outboards thiswas based on my exppereieces with these OMC outboards was johnson and evinrudes thiswas thecase in my knowledge these days was based on what i knew

Hey. Thanks for tuning in. Yeah the electric start bracket/starter motor became available around 1972- I believe it was just an upgrade/add on at the time- no stator/rectifier charging system til late 70's once the 35 hp's came out and the hoods/motor covers changed with no hole for a rewind starter- They did give you a rope for emergencies! Hahaha. But- there were still Pull Start Only models available through the 80's & 90's- I've worked on a couple- also seen my share of combo's- pull start & electric start and those had to have the motor cover with the hole for the rewind starter. So it was just kind of weird or maybe the electric start was just an upgrade- I don't know! What freaks me out is when looking for parts the schematics will show different part numbers for "Pull Start Only" models and "Electric Start Only" models. Never could figure that out! Hahaha! Thanks again & Stay Tuned !
