That thing must have been stored sideways out doors cause how else there was so much water in it. Block could be useable when hot tanked but the rest seems like it was removed for a reason and had a fault before it was left for dead.
I feel your pain. I just got screwed $18.000 on a marketplace prevost bus. He delivered it from fla to mass and took the money and ran. Has a rotted frame and he promised me an EXCELLENT CONDITION BUS. I got completely SCREWED.
And so no one else gets screwed by this guy that screwed me he is selling a few other busses in marketplace and has a youtube channel too. His name is Arnt Vagle owner of luxury motor coach leasing llc in florida. Buyer beware. Im hiring a lawyer to go after him.
It would be an interesting experience to soak that mess in a vat of EvapORust for a week or so. Wonder if the EVOR folks would donate enough for a test? Might be a good advertisement for them. I use the product frequently, but of course, never on a scale such as this.
Man! What a drag! Always look touch and taste! Good luck. I hope he makes it right.
WOW, In my opinion, that guy deserves to have his name put out all over the place. How many times has he done this to other people. Just SAD.
Lesson learned i would have performed a inspection before paying. At least bared it over
Should have barred it over before the dude even loosened the straps.
Actually would have been a funny video to see the guy sweat as you walked up with the breaker bar and socket haha
I feel your pain. One lesson learned...get the seller to send you a vid of the engine being barred over. :(
One must bar the engine over before ever taking it off the trailer.
Seeing how easy it is to pull those side covers off to expose the cylinders, seems like it would have been very easy to do before it came off the trailer also. Sorry you guys got screwed, but I feel you should know better at this point.
Could have sent it back home the second you noticed it didn't bar over, who is paying for you guys to keep tearing this thing down?
another example of a "pig-in-a-poke", my rule of thumb is if I can't hear it run, it's worth scrap value. sometimes you win, most often you lose, but at least you can scrap it and not get too hurt.
I am so disappointed to watch this. Your honor, integrity and competence has spoiled us. The seller should be ashamed of himself and hope he somehow exposed to protect future potential buyers. I feel horrible for your customer. I’m sure he is thrilled to know how much more this will cost him.
I consider all used engines to be nothing but cores at best if I can't see them run and even then I have got junk when I could hear them run (oil burners, cracked blocks, sludge).
Randy Sutter is the seller's name.
From Cave City KY or Chesaning MI according to his FB marketplace listings.
Where is Randy the Ripoff from? Town ? Phone? Shop info?

Reminds me of a boat trailer I sold. Told the guy it had good wheel bearings and would be no problem towing it back home 6 hours away. I took it for a test drive after confirming the sale and man, I've never heard wheel bearings that loud before! I went out and bought new hubs/bearings and got them installed before he arrived the next day. I figured they were good but must have gotten water in them at some point so I made it right without him ever knowing about it.
I wouldn't have paid the guy until I at least checked it out.
You never, ever buy something like that sight unseen
Unless you expose who sold this he has the right to do it again. Stand up for yourself ! Expose the fraud. Don’t be spineless America !
You know those injector tips are plugged rusted solid.
The seller was more than happy to ship it to you so: 1) you don't know (yet) where he is. 2) you took this rusty boat anchor off his hands for tax-free cash.
Pursue him, Scott. Rob is too nice a person to burn this much cash w/o benefit over a BEAUTIFUL bus.
Hey... Just a suggestion for future online buys... A facetime of engine being turned over or started...
Probably been sitting outside in the yard since 2018 😳
The Rockford Fan-Tem wet clutch fan drive is valuable.
I agree it looks like the guy didn't know it was bad, hopefully with some gentle reminders you'll get your refund and move onto the next one.
Salt water flood engine...no question, that's crooked!
Salt water? The engine came from Kentucky, not the ocean. lol
@VaporheadATC l know the guy he bought it from was in Kentucky..l highly doubt that it originated from there...
@@b.abrackus6403 why do you think salt water?
@@VaporheadATCmight have started somewhere else and ended up in ky.
So Sorry Scott!! In these cases I think you should post on RUclips and FB who the seller is! It might not change your situation but It might help someone else. If everyone did this it would help correct some of the fraud!!
OMG This video is brought to you by KY lubricants... Whether they really are your sponsor or not, that was extremely funny! But I'm very sorry that you have to endure this
Lesson learned. Always do your due diligence. Never trust no one these days , there's no honor anymore.
Damn Scott that sucks! Here is a question though is this engine worth rebuilding?
People like to call junk engines " boat anchors " this one must have literally been under a hundred feet of water
That thing was under water
