But you have to understand the codes could be from the car not starting. For example misfires will be coded out to obd. Because ignition was interrupted from no fuel or low fuel pressure. So clear codes then diagnose the mechanical parts that don’t rely on a sensors. The obd will only send you measurable data. Not things that are mechanical failure
