Alexis, first of all Olive is precious like omg & love her relationship with Cricket! for the biting/nibbling, she's definitely not doing it in a rude way (like you know & said it looks like out of excitement). anyway, to deter it make sure anytime she puts teeth on "flesh" or human skin you make sure to remove your hand or body part & turn your back to her to ignore her. since she seems really smart you can even try to make her sit at this same time. only until she is calm and/or sitting do you give her attention! this helps reinforce that nibbling & biting doesn't get her attention, but being calm & sitting nicely does get her attention! it's hard bc they're so cute but what you did (no fault or hate to you, it's a natural reaction) at 30:42 is the opposite of what you want to do, she nibbled your hand & then you gave her pets & positive attention! by doing that it reinforces that nibbling gets her love & attention! hopefully that all made sense! also totally feel you about the puppy blues! I used to cry all the time when my golden doodle was a puppy! it's no joke
As a fellow golden retriever owner. She’ll grow out of the biting and some times she just needs a longer walk or more exercise. She’s wanting to play! I usually walk mine 2-3 miles/day!
GIRL, I JUST DISCOVERED YOUR RUclips AND I'M SO EXCITED THAT YOU'RE POSTING AGAIN!
