    Interesting video Derek. Do you lacquer the wheels? If so do you protect the teeth? I guess that would introduce extra friction.

      Thanks no I don’t lacquer any movement parts , front & back plates I polish and just wax and internal parts are cleaned and treated with Renaissance wax.

    So putting coats of lacquer stop from tarnish and don't need to polish.

      Yes Mark that’s correct but not the movement I just polish that and protect with Renaissance wax.

    Brass lacquer is expensive. Has anyone tried a more generic lacquer on brass?

      @@johnbottomley373 I have tried normal lacquer but was never very happy with is but I also use this in a airbrush priorypolishes.co.uk/product/silver-brass-lacquer-100ml/
