Excellent, now add discussion of wind power when parked, and solar panel charging array and attributes of a small generator that takes energy from a small generator burning some kind of fuel ...
What does "wind power when parked" mean? Solar panel charging for EVs is like heating with a match. You would need your whole house covered in solar panels and even then it would probably take forever to charge an EV battery, compared to a 220V system.
I left out some properties, can only go full speed up steep hill when gen is running and battery has some charge, so 1/2 energy is coming from batteries and 1/2 from generator, full speed up hill, at full speed on a flat running the generator should have some power to charge batteries, it should be able to charge its battery while parked and some wind power can be used to keep charging the batteries in motion in some windy conditions ...that is a good place to start from, the other is to find a used electric vehicle that has exhausted its battery pack and use proper generator and circuit to power up vehicle and must have diode to keep regenerative breaking from blowing generator, and don't be surprised to see a perpetual motion generator charging stations become available
Why would you want to disable the power supply to the battery pack while moving... It is so much better to have generator capable of powering up hills when batteries are depleted, can generate while parked to charge batteries and batteries slow charge when generator running moving down a flat with batteries depleted ...
Fantastic. Now I know why corporate and political America doesn’t want to push EV’s. They are just too simple, too easy for a DIY’er to build/repair and they won’t sell as much gas/oil. Off of the power grid 3 yrs 47kWp, 250kWh diy LFP. An EV is in my future.
It is all about keeping 99% of American as slaves, that is why building permits cost $100.00 a square foot, most city lots come in at around $500,000.00 and they expect all Americans to be a slave for more than 80% of their predicted life span, and we have no industry ...climate change is caused by high altitude jets...
I agree 100%. But I don't have $30,000 CAD at present to convert my beloved 1966 Volvo 122S. And you need to have a bit of technical savvy in order to do it. Most of the people I know would have difficulty removing an oil filter from a car let alone removing the motor.
Wonderful info. Great follow-up to part 1.

What would power the generator?

With 1 or 2 battery upgrades it will be clearly better.
