Ya, the coupler accentuates some range up there or another. I’ve heard it was 8kHz that does it (somewhat backed up too when I measure things, as when I apply 1 dB of EQ to that area, it goes up 2 dB!; as if the coupler resonates there and adds more heat to any changes made in the product). It could be that when you lower the 4kHz spot it sounds similar to the affect as if you lower 8kHz (both would impact brightness, in their own ways). Like, perceptibly you’re getting the idea either way if you make a reduction up over in that region. Or maybe too the coupler could add resonance to 4kHz, maybe. Not sure there though because my application of additional dB at 5.25kHz (a small test I did last night) did NOT yield extra dB in the measurements afterword.
@@dansaudioreviews Yeah, I just did a quick test, didn't fiddle around that much, so it could probably be better to lower 8 kHz. It was due to that comment below about "electric tinge". I also heard it but not that much IRL. So 4 KHz removed some of that "electric tinge". Usually I don't EQ when listening to your vids, My other IEMs gets really close. Thanks for all the work you do, this is the best place on RUclips! :)
i add an inverted neutral target as eq when listening to this database, i think it only makes sense for raw from coupler then monitored on IEMs, and the results seem to be in favor of my idea (ofc this supposes a certain trust in mysef to have my gear well calibrated prior)
This sounds really different. Treble is so unnatural. Mids and treble are oddly airy but almost ghost like. Hm. Its so different I might consider getting it.
I'm beginning to think the comparisons are useless. Would rather you describe what you hear. Bc I'm listening to this through a shit RUclips upload (no offense) through a pair or .. headphones with their own signature. This is useless
Got these. The real ones are a llttle bit warmer and not so bright. When I lower 4 kHz it gets closer to the real deal.

@@Krasche02 or hey! The ears don’t lie. It isn’t like lowering 4kHz wouldn’t help. It probably does!

Every things ok but treble peeks makes treble sound unnaturally different
interesting
Small soundstage.
Its got this electric tinge to it. Hard to place. I think i like it.
narrow and muffled
These are so bright they hurt my ears.
@@tusharverma3095 Too bright.

Sorry Dan, it's not you. It's that none of us hear this with neutral devices.
@@bleb87 agreed bro but what dan likes it doesn't mean you like that everyone has there own sound preference and different hearing
Its much better than no reference. Having the knowledge that these are approximations of what it might sound like is useful.
Theres many channels for that kind of reviews.
I understand it isn’t personal 😊
