Really good scorer, IU just wasn't a good fit for him, didn't get as many touches as he would have gotten at almost any other school which is why his draft stock dipped a little. Scores in , can score anywhere, really good moving without the ball, good at creating separation. Needs to be a better passer especially in the pick & rol and a better defender. All of that will come tho once he gets to the NBA
I slightly disagree. I think he did get his touches, but the coach wouldn't run plays for him enough. He'd end up having to pass it or shoot at the end of the shot clock. Definitely agree that's he's gonna be better in the league tho.

I’m a huge IU fan and I love Romeo too. I just don’t think he’ll get drafted above 14 because playing at Indiana screwed him. The floor is so compact on offense because nobody on IU can shoot and that really limited driving opportunities. He easily would’ve been a 22+ ppg player if he had a shooter or two on his team

Why are you blaming every I.U. player except Romeo Langford for the team's poor shooting? Langford scored points because he got a lot of playing time on a weak team where the only solid, healthy player was Juwan Morgan. Romeo was a big time scorer in H.S. but as a poor outside shooter, he will find his playmaker skills disappointing against bigger, faster players in the NBA. Romeo needs to start learning Italian. His mediocrity will become apparent in practice and he will get little playing time.

Gonna say he went at the right time to get the money. Will he get a bit quicker and bigger? Looks close to making it, should have a solid career of some sort.
If I'm the Celtics I sit him until he's 100% healthy, then make him a combo guard to off the bench, and by the end of the season hopefully he's the starting "PG". He has the size 6'6, ability to score at all 3 levels on the floor, and can get to the free throw line. Hopefully he can improve his handle a little more and become a more consistent shooter. If he does that and adds a little more weight then we'll have at least 4 guys who can switch on defense 1-3 and even 1-4 if they're going against a small ball lineup.

Langford, like a long line of I.U. underclassmen (eg Jay Edwards) will likely regret heading to the NBA after his freshman season. Langford is a good playmaker but as a guard he lacks athletic ability and long range shooting. He hit only 28% on 3 pts. shots behind the college arc-his 3 pts. shooting at NBA range will be awful. Langford could have benefited from another couple of years to mature into a good NBA player. Give Romeo 2-3 years and he'll be playing in Italy.

@@tristenrebel Thank you. From the guy who scored 3,002 points to be #5 in career scoring in Indiana high school history to the guy who has averaged 2.7 points per game with Boston. But Romeo is confident this will be his break out year. I'm holding my breath.

@@excalibrx3390 Lol, I've seen this scenario before. Langford finished his high school career with 3,002 points, one of only 5 guys to break 3,000 in Indiana. Langford played 5 years in the NBA and scored less than 700 points total. He now plays for the minor league Salt Lake City Stars. Not an impressive pro career.
