Great closed-up shots with the sharp decline down Linden Avenue between Cook's and Penthouse corners (only used with the 1982 track configuration) @ 1:28 and especially @ 3:47 till the end !! Was such a lovely street circuit back then...

@ 3:16 you can see Pironi driving the impressive Ferrari 126 C2 with the twin rear spoiler followed by his teammate Gilles Villeneuve.

And then on sunday the team placed that rear spoiler on Gilles' Ferrari. Gilles ended up on 3rd position and then he was DSQ from the race because of that rear spoiler. So Riccardo Patrese took 3rd position with his Brabham Ford Cosworth.

This was the only pole position by Andrea De Cesaris and the last pole by Alfa Romeo. And last podium by Alfa Romeo was 3rd position by Riccardo Patrese at Monza 1984.

Andrea was almost on pole too in Belgium 1983 at Spa with Alfa Romeo (actually 3rd but not a huge gap vs. Prost/Tambay)

I truly feel sorry for any commentator when a McLaren and Alfa Romeo are side by side during these years.

I couldn’t find Paletti, could you please provide me with some timestamps? And I loved the end shot of the decline, thank you for this gem!
