As a Mexican who has been incredibly privileged with private education and has to never seen cartel violence in my life, it makes me incredibly sad to see Mexicans leave their homes and flee to the states. Flat out unfair, but it’s not like the government is doing anything to combat it. Great work Andrew, also love the effort you out into communicating with these folks.

It is so sad man. My heart breaks for all of you. I’m in Cancun of vacation right now and even down here it feels unreal. The resort next to us was shutdown and I got curious why and looked into it and they found 8 headless corpses inside it so it had to be shutdown. The most popular of tourists spots are being ravaged by people like that. May god be with you all❤️
@@uuulaalaaI think so too. Their stories seemed to perfectly check off all of the requirements needed to obtain asylum status. No doubt there are Mexicans fleeing from cartel violence that would be eligible for asylum, but there's also a lot of them manipulating the system for financial reasons.

@@frankfurtur5531 Mexico does have several top notch colleges, but the free ones are very hard to get into given that there's more demand than capacity, and the (good) private ones are VERY expensive (~17 times the monthly minimum wage per semester. They are also located in the big cities, so coming from a rural town you'd also have to pay rent in a place CONSIDERABLY more expensive than a small town, making it even more prohibitive. The people that can have access to these colleges will not be the people you encounter at the border, when you encounter them in the US they'll be sponsored professionals in big corps. or tourists. People from very rural, poor, and dangerous communities have very few options.

This is an amazingly useful video. We can only work towards solving these issues if we know what's happening. There are certainly forces at play that are enabling this and burying the facts.
Channel 5 is one of the most important channels in the world right now.
It's funny but we are for real getting betrayed by our federal goverment. Immigration should be a legal process, not a hole cut in the wall by feds and just released into whatever city.

I think it's interesting that Republicans talk about the "Open border" 24/7... No idea why anyone would believe the stuff they say.
Something I’ve found interesting is the large amount of migrants from African countries working in theme parks or other large tourist attractions. I talked to a guy who kind of filled me in but was hesitant to explain his exact living and working situation. I think there’s a story there of people possibly being somewhat enticed to work in exchange for extremely low pay and free living in large housing facilities.
Wouldn't surprise me. This happens in many industries. One I know of is these small Sushi stands you see in grocery stores.
These people work 7 days a week, and sometimes bring their children in too work. From speaking with them, they get given very cheap small housing, and low wage.
They make about 4k a months. Which you might be like, that ain't bad. 4k and 2 bedroom apartment?! that's crazy. But that wage is the combination of the entire household working 8 hours a day 7 days a week. And these companies, by no surprise are usually Chinese based. Even though they often advertise as japanese, and use japanese products.

Newark airport was full of blacks from Newark rude ones. Now it’s filled with polite darker ones from some place in the Caribbean. They all have accents. The only reason you would even notice is because they’re 100 times more poliere.
I’m from the Hudson Valley area of NY and African immigrants have been the majority of apple pickers for as long as I could remember.
That’s a really big problem in Europe. They will have West Africans and to be honest even some Eastern Europeans working for illegally low pay, and sometimes only working for food and bed. Sometimes it’s a direct deal between employer and employee, but other times someone will sort of manage them by finding work, they take their pay and in return give them food and usually somewhere to live (it’s usually extremely bad conditions). I wouldn’t be surprised if the same operations are happening in the US.
i hope that kid finds success in his life. there’s no telling what kind of depraved experiences he’s had to go through to get here. bless his soul

There are plenty of great journalists. When you act like there aren't, you drive people to less reputable sources. PBS, NPR, AP and Reuters are great sources.

all of my family came here legally and struggled to find their way in this country. them seeing the turmoil our country has allowed this to come to makes their hearts break. i know these people deserve better lives. i pray for them daily. but america can't even take care of the people who were born here and worked for this country their entire lives. americans are struggling and yet we dip out toes into everything else that has nothing to do with us. we all need help and the way the higher ups are doing it is wrong. there's way too much money being held by way too small of a group of people that have way too much power over us masses. the pyramid is getting bigger. the money is getting smaller. the help is becoming nonexistent.
