use Phantom/spectre, lots of aim train, positioning is important(watch pro tourneys), and most importantly chill out mate, calm and play - that would be my suggestion
What he could've done is kept throwing smoke long b while playing from somewhere else. Your smoke has conditioned them to be cautious of pushing through especially when utilized by your phoenix 4k that one round. By applying that same pressure at the location to maintain map control and time, you can support other teammates or necessary areas or even go for more impactful plays with your flash or ult.
0:14 : A: If you do bottomfrag, dont worry, kills dont mean everything and helping your team with smokes, flashes and other things are more helpful(in my opinnion
As a sentinel main i think i play too defensively or passively but you are also right in terms of no one going into where i play anyways love your guide helps me alot
I usually play skye and I’m middle frag most of the time. On my favorite maps I’m usually top frag though. But somehow y team ends up losing and I end up going down in points
I haven't finished the video yet but this guy's smoke positioning is top tier. Not always the most useful smokes, but he understands were a smoke should be in relation to the position it blocks. 12:45 is a good example, almost all of the smoke is inside of garden to avoid the enemy sneaking through to pallet. One of the most common lower level mistakes I've seen is just throwing the smoke centered in the doorway giving the opponent tons of room to get through without being seen.
What seemed to help me and make me and my plays more confident, is playing Deathmatch without sound and or kinda lout music in the background while also don't using shift or the minimap. This will put you in a major disadvantage against every fight, while also making you more aware of the visuals of the game. This improved my flicks by at least 900% anyway. Made me more aggressive in Situation where the position of the enemy is unknown and overall put me out of Silver 3 into now Gold 3-87 Elo
1:57 i think he knew only because maybe arcane noticed phoenix's flash because if phoenix flashed behind the wall anyone on his side will not get flashed. nice thinking
All his smokes where messed up. I think only 1 or 2 of all of his smokes were actually ok (the 1-way smokes to short A that did not fall down to bottom box). And his crosshair placement was the worst, flicking comes after. I suspect he also has mouse acceleration on, it seems that every time he wants to react fast he always goes farther than he wants. By default on windows, “Enhance pointer precision” is turned on (Mouse > Pointer Options). If you want decent and consistent aim, you have to make sure you turn that off (also on your mouse software settings if you have a gaming mouse with brand software).
Something that surprises me that a lot of omens never do is smoke higher on places like long, so you can peak before the smoke lands on the ground, with the hopes of maybe spotting an enemy and having an early callout.
Thinking that duelists are doing anything else than baiting teammates in this ELO is... optimistic. I ended up in Silver/Gold with my alt account recently and in this ELO you either have someone hard carry or you lose, no matter what your role is.
Bro I can’t use shotties or right click classic at all. Its fine in dm, but as soon as I hop onto comp or I ranked I can’t hit shit with any of those weapons.
Everyone saying wrong agent for the play style, but I think that would almost lock this person into a role that might cause them to plateau. I think if they want to see the most improvement possible, mechanics, aim, and confidence need to come first.
I have a curse where the enemy goes where i play and never go there again cus i roll them and some times the enemy never go the site every time i switch site they switch their push its actually so weird sometimes
why do i always lose even when i topfrag? another omen main here fell from silver to bronze and climbing back up seems near impossible. im planting the spike , trading teammates , smoking and blinding for my team , giving callouts , everything i can and yet we all lose.
2:37 to be fair, I don't know if Omen noticed this but if the Yoru did come all the way from B his gate crash could have been in heaven, and he could have teleported up there.
7:00 So I want to talk about the point he makes about here, that retaking is terrible for the gun. Specifically I want to make a point about the agents that are effective at using bucky - Jett, Raze, and murder me with words, Sage. The reason for these agents' effectiveness with bucky is the way the characters play. Jett and Raze play very aggressively and are highly mobile, perfect for a bucky, which excels in close-mid range fights. Then why is sage so good with the bucky? Why do I consider her the best bucky user in the game? Because of the statement made in this video: Retake capability. Sage negates a lot of the disadvantages that the bucky has by dividing up the site, gaining control of the fight and playing at very specific ranges using her utility to get good picks with the gun. With players like quarkwy, you dont see them using wall to flush sites, no. You see them using wall to make aggressive plays that divided up the site and control the gunfight so the bucky is most effective. I think Quarkwy (shotgun sage coin) stumbled upon this, but Sage actually makes the gun incredibly strong, along with the judge. I really hope pro players begin to abuse this capability, it'll be cool to see recognition for such a niche strat!
the move when your there is when your brim died in the corner you knew he had a phantom, thus a weapon, so i would have smoked the weapon to grab it and re grouped with sage that way our odds of winning are increased
Im ok on cypher but i bottom frag if my team likes to aggressively push they tend to kill everyone before i get any contact or they die n i have to go against multiple enemies
I am a sova main and I always middlefrag every game, are initiators meant to get a lot of kills? I initiate engagements via abilities and play quite passive, I am never the first on site, I play quite passive and go positive most games, with like 18 ish kills on a close game, with a maximum of like 28 to 32 for a really good match. but I never surpass duellists, ever, and alot of my kills are low impact “cheap flanks” or just holding a site for 1 or 2 kills and dying, or just backing off and handing them the site on a silver platter. I feel like my gameplay is unimpactful and unimportant at times. On attack I dart onto site for a full rush and than we enter site with flashes and smokes while I stay back and trade out duellists if they die, but most of the time I do nothing and my teamates kill everyone, and when they die I am mediocre at holding a site and winning engagements often it is frustrating for me because I am still new to pc so my aim is kinda not great, but I am very confidant in my game sense, i fell like my body can’t keep up with the game but my brain can, what can I do to improve my game and feel confidant in taking engagements? I always fall short when my team needs me most.
Some constructive criticism: I love the VoD reviews but I wish you went a little more in-depth with the explanations. For example, at 11:03 you're talking about high-impact plays/positioning, and you state what he SHOULD be doing, but now HOW he should be doing it. If you threw in like small diagrams (even shitty diagrams made in MS Paint) to show what he could've done instead, I feel like that would help explain your point a lot more. Personally speaking, when I heard you talking about high-impact plays and positioning, I understood what needed to be done but not how it could've been executed. I wish I had more explanation on the executions. I know in the League community, as LS is explaining wave manipulation to the person he's coaching, his editors made diagrams to explain the concepts to make things significantly more clearer. I hope it's something you look into doing because those diagrams are a HUGE help! Here's an example at 17:34 in LS''s video: ruclips.net/video/eTiptclNnIA/видео.html Great content---keep it up!
This is like looking at me a couple years ago. Bad play, almost zero game sense, terrible aim. All it took for me to get good was grinding those aim in aim trainer. When you have at least a decent aim, it can really boost your confidence and finally make a play. And from that, game sense will come if you pay attention to your surrounding
Not even to say this in a rude way but if your not getting frags it’s either because your more of a team player or just elo inflated Edit: Inconsistency is a completely different thing though
I do play slightly passive as omen on defence Kinda similar to this here But I mostly entry or second in attack But I never bottom frag His teammates here were carrying him, which isn't usually the case. I often get into teams with average to bad duelists. So sitting back and holding the site for rotations is necessary.
as an omen the main advice I would give omen players is to actually do something with your utility. if you smoke off an entrance to stop aggressive pushes you have to watch the entrance, dont smoke it then walk off otherwise it's useless. when you blind try a teleport play or atleast peek, dont just throw away your only blind for no reason. If your putting down a smoke either enter it immediately or dont go in, I've walked in late into my own smokes and get punished for it
The real problem is that that is my rank as well, I usually top frag as sage and those are the kind of team mates i get, when the level of the opponents is so much higher for some reason
I mean this silver omen is holding out a flash at the start of the video. There are so much wrong with that. If u smoked the entrance, just hold with ur gun with that phoenix. You will kill anyone 2v1 if they try to jump out of the smoke. The phoenix was standing between you and the enemies, so if you flash, that phoenix is gon get hit. So u shouldn't even have been thinking of flashing. Just take ur gun out. NEVER and i mean NEVER, just smoke and then hide behind a wall. U smoke entrances to hold the smoke. U dont simply smoke the place, walk away, and never ever look back at that smoke again. Dont do that. Hold that shyt down. I swear to god people dont understand how important smokes are and how to play around it. The reason omen is so strong is becuz he has unlimited smokes. I feel that in every game each team should have at least 2 smokers and that will make games be at a much higher level. Right now people are just pushing on defense and wide peeking 24/7
the reason why ur place on the scoreboard matters is that it gives u confidence if u r 1st or 2nd. moreover, in low elo, ppl judge ur performance based on ur kills
Don’t care what people think. If u want kills just so people don’t flame you, then you won’t really improve. Personally being in last gives me the confidence, and I’m more passive so kills don’t really matter for me
TBH kills doesnt matter for omen mainly cause the omen player I see in my team focus on their kill but didn't get a single one and never smoke..this guy smoke, flash ideal omen
Is it okay to use omen kinda like a duelist? Cause I use it for the tp to get to places where I can aggressively peak (or die instantly) but I don't really know how to use the smokes correctly. What duelist (that isn't yoru) would be decent for a former omen main
@@jayvee4787 not the case bruh, that was back in bronze-silver, I just mained sage and top fragged cuz of staying alive, around plat+ now and I normally mid-bot frag cuz the duelists here are better
I don’t think perfectly dodging Phoenix flash should be expected from a silver player. However a lot of the other points still stands especially on playing more aggressively and improving aim.
Yeah but that’s a problem that solves itself. If you are so good that having 60 FPS is your biggest weakness, you would be serious enough about gaming to buy a good pc, or you could get signed to a team and have them get you a pc.
that's literally everyone's problem in Silver and lower ranks, even gold players but sometimes golds are ok. Yes there is other issues with using utilities but aim is the biggest factor to losing fights. I got this issue, I play really good with my agents but I lose dumb fights.
no disrespect but as a omen main myself and a silver player, this gameplay looked like some bronze stuff and he was way too passive. Also I find myself top fragging a lot but sometimes I play with a friend who is bronze and then the other 3 in my team just suck. The duelists get less kills and it becomes a very unbalanced team and I keep pushing and getting 1 or 2 kills and dying a lot. Should I try my luck with duelists and try to carry? Or improve as an Omen more?
Don't act like the games aren't your fault. As an Omen, you should set up for your teammates so you simply trading yourself for kills means you aren't doing your job and should switch characters
@@jerrylin6756 I agree to that. But besides Smoking off entries or sites and using my paranoia what more can I do if my teammates don't push the sites when they need to? They push when the smokes have disappeared and 1 by 1. Anyway I am switching to Yoru and can already understand that in low elos it's kinda broken because no body expects the plays.
Hi! I just want to ask on how to fix inconsistency in most of my games. I feel like either my agent pick is bad for me or I just happen to be so aggressive even on Sentinel class.
i think it can either be, you're not confident in your plays or your computer/network is unreliable. In my experience, after i learned how to play duelist i've becoming more confident in taking fights and making decisions resulting in a more stable frag even if i play controller or sentinel. I don't always top fragging, but i at least will be the mid fragger and i don't really remember when the last time I got 4-15-3 like score anymore. Before you do duelist in comp, try to aim atleast top 5 or 35frag in deathmatches. It really helps as well. If it's your computer/network problem, i can't really say much except try to check out pc optimization tips (also one for valorant) or get a better one. Also in my experience, even if you can raise your fps from a steady 30 to 40 is a big change. Pings over 100 is unplayable for me.
U are right about that initial aim, but u don´t quite explain what is happening, sorry for the long post in advance :) There is one mistakes with the aim, and it all comes down to confidence really, I will call the person a "he" even though i don´t know the gender, sorry The first mistake is that he is aiming where he is expecting the enemy to be in a split second, not where he actually is at the moment, so his aim is always in a future potential position of an enemy rather than where he is, then when the first few bullets of high accuracy(and low recoil) has been fired he tries to correct the mistake, and by then it is often too late.. on running enemies he does the same but it has a further worsening effect as he seems to be expecting the enemy to strafe back and be hit by the spray rather than shooting at where the enemy is currently, thus emptying an entire magazine behind the enemy, he needs to learn to trust the aim and go directly for the head(or at least directly for the enemy) I think a lot of it comes down to confidence.. he plays defensively as if afraid of the enemies, there is a difference on playing defensively as in smart defensively and scared defensively and the crosshair placement and choices of movement suggest the latter, a bit more warmup with the aim before the games could help a lot to get the flicks in order before the games since in a deathmatch u don´t really need to care about winning or losing the least bit but just concentrate on getting closer in on the enemy head with the first shot When u feel that u got the correct flick on moving targets u will hopefully feel a bit more confident when the games start Also remember that the more bad games u have, the more impact it will have on the confidence, so get those 5 minutes of death match or other kind of aim practice before starting gaming to boost the confidence One other thing is "playing up the scenario in the head in advance", like for instance 14:30 he is not in the moment when he uses the paranoia, he has already decided that if there are any enemies at lamps the enemy would be in the trajectory of the paranoia and not directly inside of the room and since he already decided in his head that there are no enemy there, he strafes in there almost with his back first, works fine if he bought the right lottery ticket; try to untrain the expectation that each player will play the same way and stay focused in the moment All in all a good deduction, especially on being involved in the team action, especially for those important trades, there is a fine line between pushing too early alone or with the rest, but trust the team, it is all a team effort, a team will fall quickly if one player stops trusting the team and falls behind for any reason if the two teams are otherwise equally skilled

What he could've done is kept throwing smoke long b while playing from somewhere else. Your smoke has conditioned them to be cautious of pushing through especially when utilized by your phoenix 4k that one round. By applying that same pressure at the location to maintain map control and time, you can support other teammates or necessary areas or even go for more impactful plays with your flash or ult.
i love these vod reviews! Thank you so much for the amazing content
0:14 : A: If you do bottomfrag, dont worry, kills dont mean everything and helping your team with smokes, flashes and other things are more helpful(in my opinnion
Alternate title: "Why do I bottomfrag when I'm only afk half the match?"
Spotted a couple mistakes that I make too. thanks for the breakdown
As a sentinel main i think i play too defensively or passively but you are also right in terms of no one going into where i play anyways love your guide helps me alot
Great video ! As a hardstuck silver , this was a pretty good vod review
This really helps, I’m an omen main too and I think I was actually doing what this guy is doing when I thought I was having an off day.
3:56
Me: 26/15/7 as cypher or sage maybe cause im the one who trades and entry second rather than initiators and controllers
Agree, find the overaggressive duelist, play the 2nd man for him.
Yo dragonmar you gonna make a video on the mental aspect of comp?
Honestly with the amount of kills i get doing this im amazed that i dont see many players doing as well
idk what you mean by look away from flashed, because there have been times where i have comletely done a 180 and i still get full flashed
15:20 there needs to be a sage wall there by that point. Omen took site control completely with smokes, Sage needs to do her part and cut off site.
I have a curse where the enemy goes where i play and never go there again cus i roll them and some times the enemy never go the site every time i switch site they switch their push its actually so weird sometimes
This man doesn't hold back when critiquing and I love it.
Smokes are meant for that very reason right so that no one should push through it ??
why do i always lose even when i topfrag? another omen main here fell from silver to bronze and climbing back up seems near impossible. im planting the spike , trading teammates , smoking and blinding for my team , giving callouts , everything i can and yet we all lose.
I missed your VOD reviews keep doing those.
the move when your there is when your brim died in the corner you knew he had a phantom, thus a weapon, so i would have smoked the weapon to grab it and re grouped with sage that way our odds of winning are increased
thats crazy and everything, but the real question is why am i in high immortal - radiant and my auto lick fraggers bottom frag
the thing with me is i top frag one day with strats and the next day, what is aiming , whats recoil
very helpful vod review thank you
Im ok on cypher but i bottom frag if my team likes to aggressively push they tend to kill everyone before i get any contact or they die n i have to go against multiple enemies
And so my question is once we smoked like a position should we not look at it and look at a different angle ??
I forgot the feeling of bottom fragging and im really thankfull for that
Why are you acting like a player that is always first and the mvp in every match
@@tamaO_O i do most of my game's but i never bottom frag
I always fall short when my team needs me most.
this dude would pick me apart so bad lol
"So this is his the fourth mistake of the game, he blinded himself instantly"
"so here is his biggest mistake of all; he downloaded valorant"
Here's an example at 17:34 in LS''s video: ruclips.net/video/eTiptclNnIA/видео.html
Great content---keep it up!
There's not much to say about Omen except have more confident and keep improving your aim. Reyna on the other hand...
Isnt it bad to put smokes on site? Cuz some people like to sit in smokes that are right next to where common plant spots are
How can I get a vod of mine reviewed?
thanks to this video, i hit diamond! was immortal two earlier this act, thanks!
Not even to say this in a rude way but if your not getting frags it’s either because your more of a team player or just elo inflated
Edit: Inconsistency is a completely different thing though
I do play slightly passive as omen on defence
Kinda similar to this here
But I mostly entry or second in attack
But I never bottom frag
His teammates here were carrying him, which isn't usually the case.
If your putting down a smoke either enter it immediately or dont go in, I've walked in late into my own smokes and get punished for it
Dragonmar: the Bucky is the worst gun for retake
Shotgun sage: allow me to introduce myself
Now answer why my jet instalockers are bottom fragging and how I (astra/sova) have to entry for them
the smoke placements alone need soo much work with two smokers on the team i don't think they smoked almost anything properly
my question is, why when i top frag match mvp every game i win 10rr and lose 25-30rr
The real problem is that that is my rank as well, I usually top frag as sage and those are the kind of team mates i get, when the level of the opponents is so much higher for some reason
I love this kind of video i would like to see more of them seeingk poeple's clips and giving advices!
3:55 Unless you have a Jett on your team, I can't count the number of times I have had a Jett bottomfrag on my team.
I try not to look at leader boards much, whether I'm topfrag or botfrag. Since it's a team game, the only thing that matters most is winning a round
sammeeee i said that to every single 1 of my teammates i get match with bro idc about kills i care more about wins
Having 2 smokers just makes you miss the opportunity to get a sentinel or initiator, which you will have a much better team comp for including.
Smokes aren't that useful in this game, too much utility to counter a smoke
the reason why ur place on the scoreboard matters is that it gives u confidence if u r 1st or 2nd. moreover, in low elo, ppl judge ur performance based on ur kills
Don’t care what people think. If u want kills just so people don’t flame you, then you won’t really improve. Personally being in last gives me the confidence, and I’m more passive so kills don’t really matter for me
tbf.. when people are popping off in game and getting kills sometimes youre bottom fragging and its not even a bad thing! win is a win right?
How do i get one of these vod reviews?
TBH kills doesnt matter for omen mainly cause the omen player I see in my team focus on their kill but didn't get a single one and never smoke..this guy smoke, flash ideal omen
util omen
Is it okay to use omen kinda like a duelist? Cause I use it for the tp to get to places where I can aggressively peak (or die instantly) but I don't really know how to use the smokes correctly. What duelist (that isn't yoru) would be decent for a former omen main
I play sage, but oftentimes I get mvp while my duelists bot frag :')
I bet your heal use percentage is trash tier. Walling yourself up, getting first bloods and picks, then dying for being super aggro.
@@jayvee4787 not the case bruh, that was back in bronze-silver, I just mained sage and top fragged cuz of staying alive, around plat+ now and I normally mid-bot frag cuz the duelists here are better
@@JoeTao I see you've learned the errors of your ways. Lol. Dope though, congrats on hitting plat!
I don’t think perfectly dodging Phoenix flash should be expected from a silver player. However a lot of the other points still stands especially on playing more aggressively and improving aim.
i feel like you're underestimating how hard it is to dodge flashes, especially when there's so much going on in a game at once.
I also ask the same thing. Why do I ALWAYS bottom frag on silver and bronze game but top frag plat games...
I'm a sage main and I'm silver 3 but I get top 2 kills nearly every round do you think I should change agent
They're at a severe disadvantage in the competitive scene with only 60fps/60hz
Real life economy issues :)
From my personal experience if you practice aim regularly it gets relatively easier.
I'm a controller and sentinel, i'm always at bot or 3rd frag, i don't really care about many kills as long as we win
Real question is why do i top frag with sentinel while my insta lock reyna/ pheonix bot frag
Because they suck and you are better than them ez
same bro i think if we use duelist we panic coz we think we need to top frag and entry then we always die
no disrespect but as a omen main myself and a silver player, this gameplay looked like some bronze stuff and he was way too passive.
I feel like either my agent pick is bad for me or I just happen to be so aggressive even on Sentinel class.
how does it show everyones rank on the leaderboard?
Someone can advice me how to do when I am not consistent enough, although I always did the warm up routine or even aim training
i think it can either be, you're not confident in your plays or your computer/network is unreliable.
Play when you arent feeling any tiredness
Also play jett because op doesn't strain you or consistently play omen or killjoy
aim isn’t everything. Improve gamesense
The thing in low elo is that people think kills mean everything and they dont care abt winning they care abt getting frags.
Why do my bronze lobbies look so much more skilled that this lobby? 😢
even iron games bruh
Video idea - Play a comp game with an eye tracker. Then do a vod review talking about where you look and why you look there.
How do we set up for a vod review
U are right about that initial aim, but u don´t quite explain what is happening, sorry for the long post in advance :)
There is one mistakes with the aim, and it all comes down to confidence really, I will call the person a "he" even though i don´t know the gender, sorry
The first mistake is that he is aiming where he is expecting the enemy to be in a split second, not where he actually is at the moment, so his aim is always in a future potential position of an enemy rather than where he is, then when the first few bullets of high accuracy(and low recoil) has been fired he tries to correct the mistake, and by then it is often too late.. on running enemies he does the same but it has a further worsening effect as he seems to be expecting the enemy to strafe back and be hit by the spray rather than shooting at where the enemy is currently, thus emptying an entire magazine behind the enemy, he needs to learn to trust the aim and go directly for the head(or at least directly for the enemy)
I think a lot of it comes down to confidence.. he plays defensively as if afraid of the enemies, there is a difference on playing defensively as in smart defensively and scared defensively and the crosshair placement and choices of movement suggest the latter, a bit more warmup with the aim before the games could help a lot to get the flicks in order before the games since in a deathmatch u don´t really need to care about winning or losing the least bit but just concentrate on getting closer in on the enemy head with the first shot
When u feel that u got the correct flick on moving targets u will hopefully feel a bit more confident when the games start
Also remember that the more bad games u have, the more impact it will have on the confidence, so get those 5 minutes of death match or other kind of aim practice before starting gaming to boost the confidence
One other thing is "playing up the scenario in the head in advance", like for instance 14:30 he is not in the moment when he uses the paranoia, he has already decided that if there are any enemies at lamps the enemy would be in the trajectory of the paranoia and not directly inside of the room and since he already decided in his head that there are no enemy there, he strafes in there almost with his back first, works fine if he bought the right lottery ticket; try to untrain the expectation that each player will play the same way and stay focused in the moment
All in all a good deduction, especially on being involved in the team action, especially for those important trades, there is a fine line between pushing too early alone or with the rest, but trust the team, it is all a team effort, a team will fall quickly if one player stops trusting the team and falls behind for any reason if the two teams are otherwise equally skilled
