Machete in the swamp is always a winner. I like these trail making / clearing vids, because it takes the machete away from a formulaic testing approach and puts it into a more natural environment you'd use a machete in. The Cold Steel ones always perform well here, this one is no exception.
You done had me at "all of Florida is held together by one huge vine." So reminds me of low places, too close to rivers, in Good Ole Northern VA... back in the day... of trauma! But, the woods!!!
Here in New York we can use machetes for tag alder swamps, and brush in general. Unless you have a mulcher on a skid steer, you ain’t getting through that stuff, even with a chainsaw. A machete is the best option, to be honest. That, and the wild grape vines.

I have several Cold Steel machetes and love them. The ones I have are 10 plus years old. I am pretty sure they were made in Taiwan, but I could be wrong on that. I am on vacation, so that can't be checked right now. Actually I am probably not too far from you. I'm in Palm Coast visiting my parents. It's just south of Jackson. This machetes looks good. It's nice and long which results in a lot of speed to cut that brush and junk.

On this one, I do not actually care if the machete is good or not. I just don't like them selling them in packaging that makes false claims on it. Can't really blame the dealers for reading info off a company's package and posting it, they thought it was accurate. I'm usually the one trying to talk sense about things with knife companies, but false advertising is, at it's base, theft.

The 3 folders, 6 fixies, 2 tomahawks, and 2 canes in my Cold Steel Collection will still be used just as often, don't love them any less, but I'm not going to purchase any new items from them. We all have our lines, and they have crossed mine. I'm not going to start a hate campaign against them or anything, just not going to give them any of my $.
