Can totally relate to the rude patients. Ive had a few that were awful over the years (Im a MRI technologist) and I never understand how people can treat people so badly. Even in my worst moods I'd never take it out on someone else. Quick story: I was over in Nuclear Medicine to get a patient who was scheduled to have a mri next and this guy was a major asshole. He was dropping the F bomb left and right and was upset about who knows what but wanted to know what was taking so long and the senior tech came in and after listening to the guy curse and rant (again dropping f bombs) says : Well the f-ing tech is working on your f-ing exam and has a lot of f-ing things to work on so he'll get back to you when hes f-ing ready. Except he was saying the full word. The patient was kind of in shock and just said ok and i thought it was the greatest thing ever. Lol. The lead tech was basically just thinking ok this is how you wanna talk, then this is how we'll talk. Thats what he told me later. And that he would always stand up for his techs. I just thought it was awesome he had the balls to talk to the patient that way because i could never, even if they deserved it. Mind you I'd stand up for myself but i wouldnt curse back. Anyway i enjoyed your stories.😊
Haha I loved reading this! Good on him! And honestly I feel the same about the people I work with. If you can't treat them right, then I don't have space in my diary for them. Hope you get more nicer clients! 😊 Thanks again for sharing.
Congrats on that first story. A good bedside manner works wonders on the most prickly people. Kindness goes a long way. And for those who just don't want it, silence is an option too. No surprises that she apologized to you.
OMG what a poor podiatrist 😢 totally relatable I had this client coming into my my clinic and asked me where his foot massage was... Then the beeping came.
Sorry to hear you've had similar experiences! 😊 For every bad one we have hundreds of lovely clients as I'm sure you probably have also. Glass is definitely 3/4full.
Love your story’s. it was great to hear them. I work face to face with patients too, they can be demanding , rude, entitled, painful, but on a whole it’s always something has happened to them. Generally I can always turn it around and make them smile. It’s not always easy but I do like connecting with patients and putting them at ease. Be safe and take care, love your content.
You're so right! And turning it around for people can feel so good. I'm so happy to hear youre doing the same thing! Keep it up! 😊 Stay safe and healthy also!
I am reminded of my first brush with a parient with Tourete's Syndrome when I was a young dental assistant about 40 years ago. I had learned about it in school and we had discussed in during office meetings but when this 15 year old, 6'2' young man showed up for his exam appt. and was a new and nervous fellow. . . well, you can imagine. And, of course, other patients were religious, elderly ladies, young mothers with small children. OMG. And his vocabulary was all swear words of the lowest order. My character was bulit a little more that day. He was a lovely young guy once he relaxed around us a bit but awkward?? Oooh boy!
I think God was with you on that last patient. I think he was going to do something terrible but had a moment of clarity (with the help of your extremely pleasant composure) and changed his mind. 🙏🏽
@@TheFootScraperDGPodiatrist PLEASE DO, I don’t mind the vids but listen to pods when my hands are busy or on the road. You have a soothing, sweet voice love.
It’s funny, I’m studying podiatry and today I treated a patient who I guess wasn’t the nicest to me and it was my first time encountering a pt like that 😔 but watching this in a way made me feel better in knowing that others too can have bad days too
Aw I'm sorry to hear you've experienced this. Don't let it get you down. There's so many more wonderful people that will make up for this one! 😊 Keep being amazing.
Hi from Texas, love your bedside manner, not too many doctors out there show compassion, your just a lovely human being. Thanks for your story times.❤️🙏
Even though you are telling horror stories your voice is so pleasant and kind and musical that the stories "sound" wonderful -- even though the content is not wonderful.
Love your 'people person' qualities Dina. No justification whatsoever for rudeness, especially when you're providing a service. On a lighter note, I thought your impersonation of the steriliser door opening when the technician applied his magic touch was hilarious 🤣. Looking forward to the next instalment of horror stories.
Youre a much better person than me. Nail files, curettes and clippers would have been thrown if I was faced with such unwarranted disrespect and used as someone's punching bag when my initial and caring purpose is to only offer help and nurturing. You're right, no one is innately nasty, but we are all adults and should be conscious of how we cope with and express our personal problems.
Just in time for my morning cuppa lol ☺️ I have to say, your demeanour is always so lovely. I wish more people had your kind and compassionate approach to others 💐 Also, first to comment 😉
Your kindness inspire me honestly to work with this in the future im only 18 but it is nice to see how so called ”boring” works can actually be extremely helping and it is important to be well empathatic (sorry my english) and humble when working with other people! You are also very talented as im tech! I found your channel by searching for help wish i could go to you but im in sweden 😂😂 they just say soak in water and use a file
😘Muchos love to you too. Always welcome if you come to the UK. Hope you're okay out there with the fire 🔥 situations on the east coast. Been following the news.
Dina, I’m looking at getting in to podiatry myself. What sort of qualifications and degrees did you need to get in order to achieve this? I’m from the North of England and it seems a lot of universities here don’t offer any courses!
WOW! The client in your third story was quite weird. I would have been more than uncomfortable. I believe that I would have been very wary, perhaps even afraid. What a strange man.
Maybe he had a personal checklist of physical qualifications to satisfy by all specialties of Drs for his tempting dating website profile to prove superb health as a suitable mate and needed your expert validation 😍 Feet ✅ Graceful Personality ❎
I don't care what kind of day you had. No one should be so disrespectful especially to someone who is doing a service on you. I wouldn't have treated her AND TOLD HER TO LEAVE
Doctor Gohil is absolutely the most sweet and professional human being i ever seen on youtube
That is the most sweetest comment thank you 💙💙💙💙
Came for the corn removal
Stayed for Dr. Gohil's bedside manner
Thank you for this! Very interesting, you are so kind to your clients. ❤️

Thanks for listening. Aw but I'm glad you are able to speak to your Podiatrist during your treatment

BSc podiatry, I went to Brighton which is the opposite end of you but very grateful for their facilities and hands on learning. Fully recommend.
@@TheFootScraperDGPodiatrist 'opposite end' 'hands on'. Was that a sly pun 😁
Hey good luck to you if you're going into that field

First client probably thought she was getting a Spa Pedicure, which is a Nail salon's service.
Possible
Look up DC Foot Doctor. A lot of old school podiatrists use a foot bath .. I prefer Dina’s spray method.
