Apex are the best! I got 17 inch Hyper Silver Apex ARC8r, running a little thicker side wall and it looks really good on black. Paired with KW V2 coilovers they sit very well on the F30. I got a picture on my channel banner if y’all wanna check it out!
So we can run 17’s on an f30 m sport without running into the calipers? I’ve got some 90’s corvette sawblades that I’m considering getting some sticky tires for and running them on the rear on occasion
Lol I feel like I kinda fucked up with my rim selection on my f22 m240i, I got the apex vs5rs and I went with 18s 235 8.5 in the front and 265 9.5 in the rear and I feel like handling is slightly more unpredictable when pushing the car compared to the stock square 225s I had. Atleast they look great!
@@kern417 I have camber plates running about 2.5 degrees so it fits just right but yeah it would be tricky without the additional adjustment. But no rub on the street or track.
@@kern417deffo gone do that lost a wheel whit my van from work thought it was a bad bearing 2weeks later lost a wheel so i check al my nuts now every month on my m140i 😭😂
Love the video! Can't go wrong with the SM-10!
I was looking at a very similar set up with the vs-5rs, thanks for the video

@@Superb_Owl80 yes on normal m sport brakes, anything bigger will run into clearance issues
@@340istephen that’s cool! Thanks for the tip, I’d been wondering about 17’s for a while now.
What size tires you running?
@@Superb_Owl80 yessir no problem

a lot of it has to do with tires. a good tire should feel responsive and predictable
Bro i found in my oil filter 2 hair line size metal flake opinion?
Not normal. Get an oil analysis done
@@kern417 hm but the oil now is new… My log files looks okay tho.. only some times cylinder fiver on lower rpm has slight corrections
Good selection! I’m running apex arc-8 18 ET35 9.5 rear and 18 ET22 9.5 in the front on Ps4S 275 35 18 square.
What car

275 on et22 front? that doesn't fit well.

See I'm stuck at -1.6 in the rear at stock ride height so not running more than -2 up front. I still would probably get a higher offset
kern ftw
what do you think about 245 R19 frotns and 285 R18 backs? with the right sidewall they wall work with xDrive on my 440i.
245 and 275 would be better
is there a reason you went with 8.5 over 9 inch in the front besides just weight savings?
no real advantage to a 9 for the tire sizes i went with
is 245/255 tire width basically as wide as you can go for a rwd? (without serious modifications)
How do your brakes feel on track whit the 380mm adapters im Ilooking to get them for my m140i to do track day
I don't have the adapters on this car yet. Still running the stock F30 brakes but I will probably upgrade next year.
@@kern417ohh oke because i wanne track my car was wondering if the adapter are oke for that
yes they are ok. like everything else, recommend paint marking them and monitoring over a few sessions.

Is ok to go from 245 width to 255 in same 18 inch rim for the back tires?
Depends on the wheel width and offset etc
