I would like to express my gratitude to you for all of your videos! This will be our first year homeschooling- we enjoyed our free trial version in the Spring due to Covid and decided to take the homeschooling journey officially. I am utilizing some of your printables and have found this series of videos to be very helpful. We are using My Father’s World curriculum which is very open and go and I like how you said to basically follow the course and do the next thing and THEN TRACK what you did instead of stressing over writing out lesson plans. Especially because MFW like many open and go curriculum has it all laid out for you and you plan on just following along. BRILLIANT job! Thanks to you and your family for putting all this info out to us newbies. From the sounds of it, there will be a lot more homeschoolers this fall! God bless, have a great school year!
Haha! I'm glad you enjoyed the free trial version! :) My bestie has used MFW for 5 going into the 6th year and she really loves it. Enjoy your new journey and don't overthink it.
Oh my...your schedule sounds just like us! Husband works 12 hour swing shift and we raise beef cattle/the kids have a lot of 4h pigs. We work until dark every night and I get so frustrated at our lack of a normal schedule. I am working on embracing it because honestly, I wouldn't want to change a thing besides the hours.
I just saw a new video from you pop up on my homepage and I got soooooo excited! I haven’t watched any of the new ones yet but I love every video you have ever made and I’m sure this will be no different! Thank you for such amazing content! 🤗🤗🤗
Thank you for all of your awesome tips! I am starting my homeschool journey once again! We homeschooled our son 1st-8th grade. He is now married and in college! This time around, we have three girls at home (1st, 6th, and 8th grades). Learning to homeschool multiples has been different! I appreciate everything you post! I am implementing several of your ideas!! I have to brush up on Excel!
This video was so helpful!! I am a first time homeschooling mama to a 1st & 3rd grader. It took me a couple of times to get through the whole video but it was so worth it!!
Hello this is extremely helpful thank you very much!! I’m home schooling 3days a week and the other 2 days she is at school she has a IEP and the school district that I am in is starting something called hybrid so they can move them in slowly and cautiously just wanted to give a shout out to how helpful This has been thank you again one other question I am a nurse part time an I wanted to know what are some goals for a second grader looks like is there any sights I can look up thank you for this helpful information PS I love your spider plant hanging behind u how did u get it to hang that way 😊
Thank you for sharing. We tried those bins too {6th & 7th grades} last year - awful ! I love the loop schedule too. I am currently reading "Teaching From Rest" book - before we start in mid August.
I am binge watching your videos right now 🤣😬 So, I wish I heard the concept about loop scheduling years ago. I am glad you mentioned gather round, it looks like a great option for my family! I'm glad our minds think alike! Thanks again!
Megan Phillips do you have a preferred kind? I’m literally looking to use it for the exact same curriculum. Or any idea on an estimate for the size you bought?
For K, this is the exact one I used... amzn.to/30FhDul It used to be a lot cheaper (like only a couple of bucks) so I don't know if it's discontinued or what. Walmart used to have them in the store, but I haven't looked recently and they're crazy expensive online. :(
I will take your extra bins ;) I really want to by ONE just to see how I like it... so far my best idea to keep all my toddler out of my older son's supplies... not sure. So far we are just using pencil boxes and small storage boxes, and that way I can take away whatever is distracting my son instead of leaving it out and making my job impossible for myself LOL.
So for the open and go curriculum, do you do any written planning? Or do you just do the next lesson each day? I use a few open and go things and I still want to write them all down in my planner! Lol! My brain always wants to know how we’re progressing and when we’ll be done! Lol
I don't write anything down before we start except our goals. I just track what we did. If you want to "see progress" you could make a super simple checkbox for your subjects with one box per lesson. Check off the box when you are done and you can visually see how much is left. Planning from behind definitely takes a change in thinking!
Nope! Too many kids, too much craziness! :) We pretty much don't do anything in our homeschool the way we did it the first year or two. I'm much, MUCH more laid back and our life is totally different now.
17 minutes for you, 23 for us with an ad every three minutes. is you tube doing that. I’ve been noticing waaaay more ads lately on various videos. It’s distracting.
This may be my most favorite helpful video i have every seen😍🤯🤯🤯🥳
Thank you, Megan! This has been so helpful and I appreciate you sharing all of your great tips and your encouragement!
You are so welcome!
This video needs WAY more likes. SO helpful! Bins wouldn't work for me either.
Thanks! Just trying to help wherever I can... it's definitely a process!
Okay one of my favorite things in this video is your cleaning loop thingy! I need that!!! Did you just make it on excel?
Haha! Yep!
Excellent series! Thank you!

It's crazy, but it's really all we know! I'm so thankful we homeschool so we have the flexibility.

Yeah! I hope they work for you!
This video was super helpful. Where can I find the info on the Homeopathy course you are teaching your children? Thanks in advance!
I agree on the Latchmates! I found a better use though. We use ours for our art bins. Great video series!
Great idea! They would be great art bins!
Thank you for sharing. We tried those bins too {6th & 7th grades} last year - awful ! I love the loop schedule too. I am currently reading "Teaching From Rest" book - before we start in mid August.

Thanks for being here! I hope you'll find something helpful!
Thank you. This is great. Can we please have some curriculum flip through videos.
It's on my To Do list. 😊
So many organization ideas that I love!! The tackle boxes for the manipulatives are genius!!
They are! And cheap too!
Megan Phillips do you have a preferred kind? I’m literally looking to use it for the exact same curriculum. Or any idea on an estimate for the size you bought?
Are you doing Level K or 1/2? I used different organizers for each level, but I think I can find them again! :)
@@MeganPhillips one kid doing level K and one doing Level 2 lol

Haha! They are good for that! Any clip box would help though. :)
BIns!!! I'm with you. I really wanted to love them but they drive me nuts as well. :)
Right?!? Even showing them like that gave me anxiety. :)
Please I will love this new downloadables !!!
Working on the right now! :)
@@MeganPhillips I already download it and have the plastic binder in my amazon cart...
The cleaning loop schedule is what our household needs...Do you have a clear template to share? :)
I don't... sorry! I wonder if I could share an example? Chores are so specific to each family. :)
So for the open and go curriculum, do you do any written planning? Or do you just do the next lesson each day? I use a few open and go things and I still want to write them all down in my planner! Lol! My brain always wants to know how we’re progressing and when we’ll be done! Lol

Where can I get your undated plan pages, not the folder.
All of my planner printables can be found here:
homeschool101.wordpress.com/my-planner/
Let me know if you found everything!
You don’t use the crate system anymore?
Nope! Too many kids, too much craziness! :) We pretty much don't do anything in our homeschool the way we did it the first year or two. I'm much, MUCH more laid back and our life is totally different now.
I don't see your planner for sale
All of my printables are free. :) I just replied with a link on your other comment!
Would you share where you purchased the pocket folder for the TGATB Math 1 & 2 game cards? Thank you!!
