Armor-all is a killer on dashes and painting. I always use wax and grease remover prior to sanding so the silicone is not imbedded. After I sand I clean again. If it shows up during spraying. I use fisheye eliminator in the paint. I remember painting a lacquer job in the 80’s and the glass installer showed up to install a windshield in an adjacent car and he used Silicone spray to lubricate the rubber around the glass. My car went from looking great to total fisheyes between coats.
Great information I would have never figured out how to get the light switch and ignition switch off without breaking. One more thing on my long list of things I still have to do. Great job as always thanks for sharing!
Very good video like usual very detailed just did mine on my 1968 firebird i ended up striping it down to bare metal lol epoxy primer then flat black because i couldn't fined semi gloss looked good but ended up painted the instrument panel gloss black car will be gloss black you videos are really good cant go wrong learning from you thanks for all of them.
Make sure you paint around the defrost openings on top of the dash! Once you put on the dash pad, some of the metal will show through the defrost slits in the dash pad. Ask me how I know...my slits have primer on the metal below😒
Another great video - thanks! I keep trying to figure out if the interior or exterior should be painted first - looks like you prefer to paint the exterior then the interior. I couldn’t determine if there was a “right way” to approach this so thanks for that info!
What color is the exterior of your car? It looks very similar to mine. And mine is paint code B. Which is frost turquoise. I have come to find out there are various colors under this paint code.
Hey jo daddy’s garage wanted to ask u on the main part of your shop how come u don’t have a garage door motor that opens the garage door when u push a button

I had the same fisheye problem when painting the glove box door and the inner rear metal quarter panels.

hi barry jade looking very good .
Nice!
That cigarette you were wondering about looks like a roll your own cigarette, which was pretty common in the 50's and 60's - my uncle used this method
Pretty sure it was a different thing in the 80's and 90's....

It’s Gulf Stream Aqua.

Just something else that can fail over time.
But Officer I have never looked in there, not mine. Always seems to be one bolt.
wil do that job with the new spraycan, with harder in it ,, give me 1 hour to spray if you pull the ring under the spraypaint can.
All this love for Jade,,,but Red Dave,,,where is the love?
What is the single scource actual paint code on this?
It’s a custom mix. No actual code. Sorry
My keys disappeared years ago. Anyone know how to get the switch out without them?
Not easy. Cutting and or drilling.
