What Makes Darius Garland So Good?

  • Darius Garland played a key role in leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a top 3 seed in the Eastern Conference for a large portion of the season before the Cavs dealt with numerous injuries. Garland's improvement from his rookie season has been remarkable, and a testament to how important it is to not give up on a prospect after only one season.
    Darius Garland is making the double big man lineup with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen seem like a real threat. Garland's unreal passing ability and exciting scoring prowess is among some of the best in the entire NBA, and if he can continue to grow alongside Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen, he could find himself as a threat for not just multiple All Star selections, but All NBA selections as well.

    One of the low key qualities he has is that he knows when to attack and when to shoot from range. If the opponent has a taller rim protector you can bet the over on his 3s. If the other team is small ball you know he is cutting tot he rim. Sweet video

    Darius has ALWAYS had a strong basketball foundation as far back as elementary school. I've been keeping up with him since then. His father, Winston Garland, was an NBA guard, so Darius having a strong basketball foundation early on, in my eyes, due to his basketball background. His handles has always been tight, a great shooter, a great playmaker and high basketball IQ. I believe it was more about adjustment to the pro level than inefficiency. Every player has, had to, and will continue to adjust when they enter the NBA. once he adjusted, his efficiency improved. However, he's a very fundamental player.

      @yunan9610 Год назад +1

      @@j-us-t_be-in-g I'm just saying that might've been the cause for his TS% being on league average even with how efficient his split stats are. The number of FT attempt could also be the cause, it might be so low that it doesn't really bump up his true shooting percentage. With that being said I don't know the actual stats and I just pointed out the rim finishing cause it's on the video, but idk if his standards are high or not unless I have the actual stats for the best guards in the league.
